Alive and Breathing

 Alive!
 Breathing!!
 Viewing His beautiful creation.
 Smelling His glorious scents.
 Hearing the wonder of nature.
 Feeling the wind in my face.
  
 Alive!
 Breathing!
 My mind is full of His word
 My thoughts ever honor His name
 My heart desires to praise Him
 My soul longs to hear Him again
  
 Alive!
 Breathing!
 What a joy that he gives me this day
 To bask in the life He has blessed
 To take in the whole of creation
 To know I can lean on His breast
  
 He gives me breath
 He gives me sight
 He gives me hearing
 He gives me smell
 He gives me touch
 He gives me life
 To enjoy His creation
 To lift up His name
 In praise.
  
 Alive!
 Breathing!
 What a glorious day this will be!

Nothing Without You

 Lord, I need you to touch my heart
 Where wrong desires are often born
 The shame I feel when we’re apart
 Is more than I can bear
  
 Lord, I need you to touch my mind
 My wandering thoughts tempt me to sin
 Please drive temptation far away
 So I might have some peace within
  
 Lord, I need you to touch my soul
 More of your Holy Spirit please
 That I might know the way to go
 Start each day down on my knees
  
 Lord, I need you to touch my strength
 I am so weak I feel I’ll fall
 Only you can help me stand
 So I can heed your every call
  
 Lord I give you all my life
 My heart, my mind, my soul, my strength
 My life is nothing without you
 Lord come to me today
 I need you
  

A Long Way To Go

 I don’t understand your mercy that wipes away all my sin
 I don’t understand your marvelous grace that blesses me once again
 I don’t understand the peace that instills a calm within my soul
 I don’t understand the joy overflowing when sorrow tries to take hold
  
 I have a long way to go but I know how to get there
 I’m trusting you all the way
 Day by day you will show me the road I should travel
 There is no other way
 I’m falling in love with you more all the time
 I just want to see your face
 So I will praise you.  I will praise you.
  
 I don’t understand this hope that arises when darkness is all I see
 I don’t understand why you give me wisdom when I act so foolishly
 I don’t understand the way that your light reveals all my deepest shame
 I don’t understand your love for me before I knew your name
  
 I have a long way to go but I know how to get there
 Your Spirit dwells in my heart
 There is no other one who can light up my path
 Reveling to me my part
 Every day I desire to do your will more than the day before
 My one desire  is to see your face
 So I will praise you.  I will praise you
  
 Down on my knees, my face in my hands
 I humbly bow down at your throne
 Lord hear my cry, hear my plea
 I’m begging you please hear my cry
 I love you Lord.  I love you Lord

Tell Them of His Love

  Tell them of His mercy
 Tell them of His grace
 Tell them of His love that on the cross displayed
 Tell them of His peace
 That calms the raging storm
 Tell them about Jesus and all that he has done
  
 Tell them of His words
 Tell them of His joy
 Tell them of forgiveness that was spoken long ago
 Tell them of His healing
 From every ill or pain
 Tell them He has promised that He will come again
  
 Tell them all the lessons
 He spoke as He was led
 Tell them of the feast He prepared from fish and bread
 Tell them of His passion
 Tell them of His death
 Tell them that he cared for them until His dying breath
  
 Tell them of the thorns
 Tell them of the stripes
 Tell them of the agony our sin caused Him inside
 Tell them that he bore our sins
 And cast them far away
 Tell them He is with them every single day
  

Life Abundantly

 I can’t explain this peace that washes over me
 Every time a troubled sea is in my soul
 It seems I put my trust in Him to guide me safely home
 Because I know my God is in control
  
 I can’t explain this joy that brings a smile to my face
 When tribulation rears its ugly head
 I know that He will teach me of His wondrous grace
 And everything will work out for my good
  
 I can’t explain this hope that says I’m bound for heaven
 I’ve put my faith in Jesus Christ
 He promised He was building me a mansion home
 A place to dwell through my eternal life
  
 I can’t explain the love that God has shown to me
 His wondrous plan I didn’t even know
 He gave His son to die for me amidst my sinful ways
 Remove them all and wash me white as snow
  
 Even though I can’t explain it still I know it’s true
 That God became a sacrifice tor me and you
 If there is just one thing you really need to do
 Is call upon His name and He will pardon you
  
 Your sin was nailed to His cross on calvary
 Forgiveness He has spoken hanging on that tree
 He rose again and to show us His great victory
 Come before the Lord and pray with me
  
 Father forgive me. Father I have sinned
 Father take my life. Give me joy within
 I now make you Lord of my life today
 Come and show me your precious ways
  
 If you prayed that prayer now you have life abundantly
 The Son of God has saved your soul today
 I pray you’ll go to church and read your Bible more
 So God can lead you safely on your ay
  

The Reason

 Shoppers are shopping
 Mailmen are walking
 Delivering gifts bought on line
 Trees all are glimmering
 Houses are shimmering
 Lights hung to cheer us in time
  
 Carols are ringing
 Sleigh Bells are jingling
 Songs of the season are here
 Bright lights are glowing
 Egg nog is flowing
 All midst the words of good cheer
  
 We all are running
 From each day’s beginning
 To celebrate Christmas each year
 But how about stopping
 Take time from shopping 
 And realize the reason where here
  
 The star was a’shining
 The cattle were lowing
 When Mary gave birth to a son
 Shepherds were praising
 Sheep were there grazing
 A Savior for all had now come
  
 He went ‘round teaching
 And gave many healing
 His words filled the hearer with life
 But leaders were seething
 And they started pleading
 To have Jesus crucified
  
 He went through the suff’ring
 And became the off’ring
 For all of the sins of mankind
 The grave not confining
 He came out a’rising
 Defeating death for all of time
  
 This is the reason
 For Christmas season
 Let’s not forget why we sing
 For this is God’s son
 Who became the one
 To save all of us from ours sin
  
 So, I will sing praise
 To His wonderful name
 I will lift up my voice to the King
 He’s always the same
 And His love will remain
 He has given to us everything

Desperation

 I've never felt so much loneliness
 When peace and joy seemed so far away
 My heart is restless sitting in this place
 I am broken and afraid I’ve lost my way
  
 I try to stand but feel the weight of fear
 I fall down on my knees in deep disgrace
 I feel the tears well up in my eyes
 My words come slowly as I start to pray

 Lord come quickly and mend my heart

 Where I could rest, where I feel blessed
