Tell Them of His Love

  Tell them of His mercy
 Tell them of His grace
 Tell them of His love that on the cross displayed
 Tell them of His peace
 That calms the raging storm
 Tell them about Jesus and all that he has done
  
 Tell them of His words
 Tell them of His joy
 Tell them of forgiveness that was spoken long ago
 Tell them of His healing
 From every ill or pain
 Tell them He has promised that He will come again
  
 Tell them all the lessons
 He spoke as He was led
 Tell them of the feast He prepared from fish and bread
 Tell them of His passion
 Tell them of His death
 Tell them that he cared for them until His dying breath
  
 Tell them of the thorns
 Tell them of the stripes
 Tell them of the agony our sin caused Him inside
 Tell them that he bore our sins
 And cast them far away
 Tell them He is with them every single day
  

Missed His Grace

When I see all the chaos
In this crazy world of ours
I sit here and I wonder
How our time has been devoured

The preciousness of each new day
Seems best to have escaped
Before we know it sun has set
And we have missed His grace

His grace is with us every day
Each moment we’re alive
It gives us hope to carry om
It helps us to survive

But most times we just let it slip
Not giving grace a thought
We think we made it on our own
Through every battle fought

The truth is that His grace was there
When we were in a bind
He brought us out and lifted us
Out of the daily grind

But we just went our way again
Not giving grace a thought
While all the while it was right there
Our future grace has bought

The next time trouble comes your way
Lift up your eyes and see
That grace was there beside you
And grace has set you free

He was taken by a legion of soldiers in the middle of the night. An illegal court hearing was held where He was beaten and spit upon. They sent Him to Pilate where He was lashed 40 times. He had a crown of thorns pout on His head and was mocked and beaten by the guards. .He was offered up to be set free, but the crowd cried “Crucify Him.” He carried His own cross until the weight was too much and they had someone help Him. The nailed Him to that cross and set it upright. While hanging there, in the midst of that torture, he cried out “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do” Then he gave up Hie life for my sins. For my failures. To heal my diseases. I did nothing to earn my salvation and I can do nothing to buy His grace. Nothing at all. His mercy on my life is what rescued me. He gave that to me, and so much more, that day he died on the cross. Then He rose victorious and he is with me every day to guide me, watch over me, heals me, provide for me. All because He loves me. Despite my wretchedness, He loved me so much That He died for me. I did nothing to deserve His love. Nothing at all.

I Am So Glad For His Grace

I’m far from perfect need I dare say
So many times I have drifted away
My life’s in limbo day after day
I am so glad for His grace

I look at the cross which is where I should be
Then I remember that He died for me
From sin and shame He set me free
I am so glad for His grace

Grace that amazes. Grace that endures
Grace that my pardon from sin assures
Grace more then needed to cover my faults
Wonderful grace. Marvelous grace
I am so glad for His grace

I try to walk the best that I can
I try to hold on to His faithful hand
All that I desire is to stay in His plan
I am so glad for His grace

Often I stumble. Often I fall
Often I wonder why he loves me at all
Often I’m caught in the snare of defeat
But then His grace comes, sets me up on my feet

Grace that amazes. Grace that endures
Grace that my pardon from sin assures
Grace more than needed to cover my faults
Wonderful grace. Marvelous grace
I am so glad for His grace

I don’t deserve an ounce of His grace. Not one minute of His time should be spent on me because I so often just ignore what He asks me to do. I am disobedient, selfish, impatient, insufficient and ungrateful way too often. I know my life often does not please Him because there is sin at the door. I must be a disappointment to Him.

Yet, through all this, He sends His grace. He hears my prayer. He forgives me. He loves me. He dries tears. He calms my fears. He holds me close. He waits for me to turn back to Him. He is my refuge and strength. I do not have to worry when I get lost, He will find me. That’s what His grace is all about, and I am so thankful for grace.

Mercy Never Gives Up

I’m not sure why you put up with me
I am not always following you
I turn to the left
Or I turn to the right
I’m ashamed of the things that I do

Yet in the midst of my wandering
Your Spirit still seems to work
He straightens my steps
Puts me back on the path
So I’m running right back to you

Your mercy never gives up on me
Never rests on my behalf

In your wonderful love
To draw me closer to you

His Wonderful Grace

What is it that keeps me coming back to God
What is it that makes me crave His vast and wonders love
What is it that assures me that He is enough
It’s his grace
His wonderful grace

What is it that removes all of my doubts and fears
What is it that dries my eyes and wipes away my tears
What is it that makes my worries all disappear
It’s his grace
His wonderful grace

I thank Him for the grace that He has shown to me
I thank Him for the grace that makes me what I need to be
I thank Him for the grace that caused my heart to see
His great grace
His wonderful Grace

I will sing His Praises my voice will raise up high
I will lift my hands and worship reaching for the sky
The world will know this grace as my words do testify
That He alone is Worthy
