His Mercy Has Covered Me

 My Savior rescued me
 From all my misery
He set my heart on fire
 He gave me His desire
 He’s with me every day
He guides me in His way
He is my hope and strength
I lay my life at His feet

And I sing Holy, holy, holy is the Lamb
I sing Holy, holy, holy is the Lamb
What a wonderful gift He has given to me
His grace washed my sin away
Now I rest in His arms and I look in His eyes
 I see His mercy
 His mercy has covered me

Sweet Aroma

I fall on my knees and cry holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy is the Lamb of God

I bow down my head and sing worthy
Worthy, worthy, worthy
Worthy is the Lamb of God

Lamb of God, seated on the throne in majesty
Lamb of God, reigning forever in glory
Thousands and thousands praising your name
Sweet aroma from the prayers of the saints
Here I am, Jesus.  I am yours

I lift up my hands to you Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Lift my hands in praise to your name

Lamb of God, seated on the throne in majesty
Lamb of God, reigning forever in glory
Thousands and thousands praising your name
Sweet aroma from the prayers of the saints
Here I am, Jesus.  I am yours

Do you ever wonder how God interprets your prayers?  How do they come before Him?  He knows all languages so he can definitely understand what we are saying.  We are blinded sometimes to what we really need, though.  We don’t always pray for the right kind of thing.  When Peter and John were entering the temple by the gate beautiful, they were asked for alms by a lame beggar on the steps.  The had no many, but they surely gave him something better.  They gave him healing so he could leap and shout and praise God.  This was not what he asked for, but it was what he needed.  So God does understand what we ask for, but He may decide to give us what we really need instead..

I love the picture in Revelation 8:4 of the prayers of the saints rising like and aroma of sweet incense.  Even the Psalmist, in Psalms 141:2, talks about prayers being like incense.  We can smell that aroma and see the plume of smoke that rises into the atmosphere.  This givers so much more depth as to how God interprets our prayers.  Three senses are used instead of just auditory.  God hears what we saying, He sees our human condition, and He smells the aroma of our heart.  This is how He decides to answer.  He knows my tomorrow, so he always knows what is best.  My duty is to come before Him with praise on my lips and allow Him to hear, see and smell my heart’s desire and my real need.  Then he will always answer with what is best for me a that time, in that place and for the reason I have asked.

Behold

Behold the little babe
Lying in the hay
Shepherds gather ‘round
Bringing Him their praise

Behold the Son of Man
Teaching in the street
Healing all who come
Friend to all he meets

Behold the Lamb of God
Hung upon a tree
Beaten, bruised and tortured
All to set me free

Behold the Resurrection
Rising from the grave
Victory over death
Praise His Holy name

Behold the King of Kings’
Sitting on the throne
He’s the Lord of Lords
Worship Him Alone

Alive In Me

Holy is He
Holy is He
Sweet Lamb of God
Risen Indeed
High and lifted up
For all the world to see
Jesus Christ alive in me

Worthy is He
Worthy is He
Lion of Judah
Victory indeed
Seated on the throne
For all eternity
Jesus Christ alive in me.

There is none like Him. No one came before Him. No one else helped in the creation of our world. No one else formed man with His own hands. No one else breathed life into that man. No one else left His throne in heaven to come to earth as a man. No on else was beaten, bruised, mocked, spit on, received a crown of thorns and was crucified for the sins of the world. No one has ever lived who has risen from the dead. No one has had a larger affect on all mankind. No one has left the legacy He has. No one has touched as many lives as He has. No one else can claim the throne in heaven. No one else will be coming back with His armies. No one else will judge the world. No one else will rule forever and ever. Jesus is the only One.

He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the bright and morning star and the sweet Rose of Sharon. He is the wonderful counselor, the prince of peace and the everlasting Father. He is my Savior, my Redeemer, my deliverer, my provider, my protector and my Lord. He will never leave me or forsake me. He will dry my tears and ease my fears. He will bring peace in the storm and rivers in the desert. He is my rest and my release. He does all things for my good and he turns every trial into triumph. He forgives me and washes me with His love. He is Jesus Christ, God’s only Son.

John 1:29 King James Version (KJV)
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Come to The Lamb of God

Come to the Living Water
To satisfy your soul
Fills your hearts desire
Makes your Spirit whole

Come to the Bread of Life
A new supply each day
He’ll fill your every longing
When His will you obey

Come to the Light of the World
The darkness disappears
Your path is laid before you
His light dispels your fears

Come to the Lamb of God
Who was crucified for you
He took away your sins
He granted life brand new

Come to the King of Kings
Seated on His throne
Crowned with royal majesty
Worship Him alone

Come to the Lord of Lords
Make Him Lord of your life
Give Him all praise and honor
Your life a sacrifice

So often I am weak and burdened by the cares of this world.  It seems they are always thee, pestering me and robbing the time I would rather spend with my God.  Household chores, caring for the dog, getting in my exercise, eating (of course) and my workload, plus my writing, all take me away into a place where I walk alone a good part of the time.  I feel burdened to get these things done.

But Jesus said to come to Him if we are weak and heavy laden and He will give me rest.  He will satisfy my soul.  Just a few minutes with Him each day refreshes me.  My time in the morning, listening to worship and writing these meditations brings my mind and heart to Him. I am once again reminded that coming to Him is an essential part of my day and I am glad I took the time, made the time, to be in His presence.

Matthew 11:28-30  King James Version

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus Life

Greatest Gift of Love

Holy is the Lamb
Slain for all of man
Came to set us free
Give us victory

He laid down His life
The greatest sacrifice
Then rose again
Rose again to give me life

Holy is the Lamb
Holy is the Lamb
Holy s the Lamb that was slain for us

Jesus Son of God
Greatest gift of love
Came down from heaven
Died on a cross
Greatest gift of love

From the very beginning of time, sin has been covered by a blood sacrifice. When Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and realized they were naked for the first time, they were suddenly ashamed. God was not pleased with their sin and used animal skins to make them a covering. God Himself set a pattern for the covering of sin. We see Abraham almost sacrificing His son before God provided a lamb. When Israel was in Egypt, it took the blood of an innocent lamb, which had to be swiped on the top and sides of the door, to keep the death angel away. In Leviticus, we read of all the sacrifices the people had to make to cover their sin. It’s just the way God planned it from the beginning. “Without the shedding of blood, there is no
remission of sin” (Hebrews 9:22). Man can do nothing about removing their sin except cover it by the blood.

Jesus is the Lamb of God, sent down to this earth to be our sacrifice for sin. His blood covers us, just like the animal skins covered Adam and Eve in the old testament. The difference now is that Jesus removes our sin completely, washes us white a snow, and casts our sin as far as the East is from the West. He is the Lamb of God, seated on the throne in heaven just waiting for us to come home. Do you know Him today? Have you asked Jesus for forgiveness? Have you asked Him to wash away your sin? This is a personal decision. Please make it today!

Romans 10:13 King James Version
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What A Savior to Me

Blessing and glory and honor and praise
To the Lamb that was slain
Blessing and glory and honor and praise
To the Lamb that was slain
For he is worthy to be praised
He is worthy to be praised
Blessing and glory and honor and praise
To the Lamb that was slain.

I lift my hands to the heavens
My heart to the sky
My eyes lift to see Him
My voice glorifies
I sing hallelujah
To the Lamb on the throne
What a Savior to me’
What a Savior to me

I Want to Go

I want to go where I see His face
I want to go where I feel His pain
I want to go where I hear His voice
I want to go to the cross

I want to go where His mercy flows
I want to go where His love arose
I want to go where His life was given
I want to go to the cross

CHORUS
At the cross He gave His life
As a sacrifice for me
So that I could spend my life with Him
In eternity

At the cross He took my sin and doubt
So that I could shout I’m free
I will bow before the Lamb of God
Jesus, Jesus

I want to go where my debt was paid
I want to go where my life was saved
I want to go where my prayers were heard
I want to go to the cross

CHORUS

BRIDGE
All my praise to Him
All my heart I give
All my love
All my worship to Him (Repeat)

CHORUS
