The Brilliance of Your Glory

I just want to lift my hands and lift my voice in worship
I just want to magnify your holy name
I just want to sing a song to let you know I love you
I just want to worship you and give you all my praise

I just want to testify of your great love and mercy
I just want to thank you for amazing grace
I just want to walk along the path you have determined
I just want to worship you and give you all my praise

CHORUS
Jesus, name above all names
Jesus, forever you are greatly to be praised
I lift your name on high, Oh Lord
For you are worthy to be praised

I just want to spend my day singing of your goodness
I just want to rest in your gentle loving arms
I just want to bask in the brilliance of your glory
I just want to worship you and give you all my praise

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Jesus, Jesus name above all names

CHORUS

Shout the Victory

I’ve decided not to fear
To no longer live in doubt
I’ll no longer walk in places of defeat
Now I know my enemy
He is always after me
Speaking words that are filled with deceit

I will now just trust the Lord
To work all things for my good
I know He’s the one who’s always in control
He is right here by my side
In Him I will abide
He’s victorious every time this I know

Shout the victory
No longer in defeat
Jesus reigns over all the enemies
He’s the one who died for me
From my fears He set me free
I’ll sing Hallelujah to my King

Hallelujah.  Hallelujah
Hallelujah to the one who saved my soul
Hallelujah.  Hallelujah
Jesus Christ won the victory

We have no reason to fear.   None whatsoever.  I must admit that I have been guilty of worrying and fearing over who wins this election.  There is such a difference in both the demeanor and the policies of the two candidates.  I have come to a place where I am going to trust the Lord and pray for my leaders.  Down on my knees in prayer for those in authority which is what the word tells us to do.  We bicker and murmur and complain about those in authority.  We laugh at cartoons and jokes about the Senate and the House of Representatives.  Please tell me where in scripture it says that is okay to do!  Elijah called a bear out of the words to destroy those that mocked him.  How dare we mock those whom God has put in authority over us!

We need to pray and not fear.  Pray for whoever is President, because God has put them there.  If it’s not a godly person, I blame it on the church.  We have been lax on prayer.  We have not done what God tells us to do.  When the Israelites did that in the days of the judges,. God gave them over to the enemy.  Why should we think he will do any different to us?  It’s about time we stop fearing and just pray!

Psalm 91:5-6 King James Version
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Lord Forever

There’s something inside me that wants to sing His praise
There’s something inside me that loves His saving grace
There’s something inside me that must get out
There’s something inside me that wants to shout
There’s something inside me that wants to lift His name

Jesus,  my redeemer
Savior Lord forever
Hear my praise lifted high, lifted high
Glory to the Father
Glory to the Son
Glory to the Holy Ghost
All in one

There’s something inside me that wants to be a friend
There’s something inside me that needs to lend a hand
There’s something inside me that must declare
The love that’s available through His death
There’s something inside me to help you understand

He is Lord, He is Savior, He is healer, Lord forever
He is mighty, He is holy, He is with us, Lord forever

Jesus,  my redeemer
Savior Lord forever
Hear my praise lifted high, lifted high
Glory to the Father
Glory to the Son
Glory to the Holy Ghost
All in one

Sweet Aroma

I fall on my knees and cry holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy is the Lamb of God

I bow down my head and sing worthy
Worthy, worthy, worthy
Worthy is the Lamb of God

Lamb of God, seated on the throne in majesty
Lamb of God, reigning forever in glory
Thousands and thousands praising your name
Sweet aroma from the prayers of the saints
Here I am, Jesus.  I am yours

I lift up my hands to you Jesus
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Lift my hands in praise to your name

Lamb of God, seated on the throne in majesty
Lamb of God, reigning forever in glory
Thousands and thousands praising your name
Sweet aroma from the prayers of the saints
Here I am, Jesus.  I am yours

Do you ever wonder how God interprets your prayers?  How do they come before Him?  He knows all languages so he can definitely understand what we are saying.  We are blinded sometimes to what we really need, though.  We don’t always pray for the right kind of thing.  When Peter and John were entering the temple by the gate beautiful, they were asked for alms by a lame beggar on the steps.  The had no many, but they surely gave him something better.  They gave him healing so he could leap and shout and praise God.  This was not what he asked for, but it was what he needed.  So God does understand what we ask for, but He may decide to give us what we really need instead..

I love the picture in Revelation 8:4 of the prayers of the saints rising like and aroma of sweet incense.  Even the Psalmist, in Psalms 141:2, talks about prayers being like incense.  We can smell that aroma and see the plume of smoke that rises into the atmosphere.  This givers so much more depth as to how God interprets our prayers.  Three senses are used instead of just auditory.  God hears what we saying, He sees our human condition, and He smells the aroma of our heart.  This is how He decides to answer.  He knows my tomorrow, so he always knows what is best.  My duty is to come before Him with praise on my lips and allow Him to hear, see and smell my heart’s desire and my real need.  Then he will always answer with what is best for me a that time, in that place and for the reason I have asked.

I Crown You With Praise

Omnipotent, Most Holy God
Redeemer of all mankind
Lord of my days, King of my life
I crown you with praise

Omniscient, God only wise
I lift up my eyes to the skies
You know me more than I know myself
I crown you with praise

Higher than all my desires
Provider of all I require
You are the one my heart longs for
I crown you with praise

Beauty for ashes
Joy for mourning
Peace for the storms in my life
Hope for the hopeless
Friend to the lonely
You are my all in all
And I crown you with praise

This Heavenly Place

I’ve lived a little less than seventy years
Sometimes in joy and sometimes in tears
Sometimes I’ve cried and sometimes I’ve cheered
I’ve sure had my ups and downs

But all of those years are nothing at all
To the future I’ll have in heavens great halls
Where I’ll eternally answer that heavenly call
To bow down and worship the Lamb

I’ll join with the elders around His throne
And all of those numbered as one of His own
Who they all are I truly don’t know
In that day I will dance with them all

My mouth will I open my voice will I raise
In a thunderous ovation of heavenly praise
As I worship the mighty magnificent name
Of Jesus Christ my Lord

Jesus, my Jesus I love you so much
Jesus, my Jesus I’m glad that you touched me
Jesus, my Jesus I lift up my praise
To your magnificent name
I am with you today
In this heavenly place
What a Savior you are to me

Praise Him

Glory
The King of King laid down His life
Honor
The Lord of Lords our sacrifice
Power
He rose again and reigns on high
Giving us eternal life
Praise Him
Praise Him

Jesus
The name above all other names
Jesus
Who once for all buried my shame
Jesus
Forever He remains the same
Forever let my voice proclaim
Praise Him
Praise Him

Praise Him with your hands lifted high
Let His name be magnified
Give Him all the glory
Give Him all the honor
He alone has power
To save our lives
Praise Him

Show Forth His Praise

Show forth His praise.
Even when I lose my way
Even on my worst days,
I want to show forth His praise.
Even when the battle rages,
even when my faith engages,
I want to show forth His praise.
Every day and every night
May my praise show forth His light
Letting the world know that Jesus Christ is Lord!
