Only One

Only one savior only one Lord
Only one Jesus to be adored
Only one life that I want to live
Loving my savior totally His

Only one Father sent his only son
Giving his all my victory won
Only one peace only one Joy
Only one love from Jesus my Lord

He is the only one worthy of praise
He is the only one full of all grace
He is the only one to bear the name
Jesus Jesus

Only one way only one truth
Only one gospel full of good news
Only one way to heaven above
All of my sins washed in the blood

I will lift up my eyes to the only one
Who can save me
Who can raise me
I will lift up my heart to the only one
Jesus Jesus

He is the only one worthy of praise
He is the only one full of all Grace
He is the only one to bear the name
Jesus Jesus

New Blog Coming Soon

Hello to all my fellow bloggers. Many of you know that I have been working on a book that is entitled The A.S.K. Principle. I blogged about this topic extensively a few months ago on my other blog site called God’s Maintenance Man. I am now going to bring it back on a separate blog. I’m doing this because the book is now in full swing and is at the editors at this time. The publisher that I’m working through also suggest that I blog about the book to enable everyone to be more informed.

I will be sharing with you thoughts behind the book, how the publishing is progressing and excerpts from the book. There will also be posts about prayer and answered prayers. I pray this will be a blessing to you and will build your faith as we go along.

I have no plan as to what days or how often I will be posting on this site. Most of the posts will probably be simple and not very long so I might update it more often. In any case I hope you will follow alonmn take a closer look at prayer and how it works in our lives.

I thank you for following this bloh.. it is a pleasure to be able to give you what God gives to me in poems. I only speak and write what He tells me to. So I can never tell you how long it will be between posts but the Psalmist blog will continue as is

Be blessed my friends

Lost

I long to be broken before my God

Poured out and empty inside

Because when I have lost all of myself

His spirit will transform my life

I long to be humbled by His patient hand

To lose all myself and my pride

Because when I have lost all me selfishness

His spirit will transform my life

I long to be lost

Lost to myself

Lost in His love divine

For when I am weak

He makes me strong

And I grow in Him every time.

I long to be led ever day just by Him

Not by my own selfish pride

Because when I yield up my will to His

His spirt will transform my life

He’ll carry me through every trial

He’ll lead me through every hard test

And then, in the end, I will know

He has always done what is best

I long to be lost

Lost to myself

Lost in His love divine

For when I am weak

He makes me strong

And I grow in Him every time.

Lonely People

I walk into the church here in Iowa
Waiting for the choir to begin
I settled into the back of you as I always do
As an elderly gentleman walks in

I have seen him here before, but it had been a while
His appearance seems to drive some folks away
I was sitting on the pew on the other side
As the congregation starts to sing God’s praise

Why are there so many lonely people
In a country where so many claim to know
That Christ came for the Lost
And He paid such a cost
Now our mission is His love to show

As I sang I couldn’t help but notice him
Tears were welling up with in his eyes
His feeble voice did lift his praise to Christ the King
I sensed His heart was breaking inside

The worship service came to a mighty end
In the sermon was inspiring to all
As the pastor gave an altar call prepared that day
The old man slowly rose and went aisle

Why are there so many lonely people
In a country where so many claim to know
That Christ came for the Lost
And He paid such a cost
Now our mission is His love to show

A sudden urge came over me to join him there
So I went and knelt beside him for a while
He was weeping as he bowed his head in silent prayer

Then he turned and looked at me with a smile

He said “Son, my wife passed on 5 years ago

And I was blaming God that she was gone

But this morning I awoke and felt the Holy Spirit call

And I knew that God had loved me all along

I hadn’t been to church

For all those many years

And when I heard the choir sing, I was so blessed

For God to still love me

When I had turned on Him

Overwhelmed me and brought me to His rest

We left the church that morning as friends

And vowed that we would keep in touch through time

I thanked the Lord He’d given me this day to realize

That a simple deed can change a person’s life

Let’s all try to look for lonely people

And ask the Lord what he would have us do

His mission is the same

His love will never change

He desire is to reach them through you

The Little Dash

We all live our lives the best that we can

Trying to leave some mark on the land

When our time is done and our life is at rest

Our bodies are laid in the ground

The graves are all marked with a stone of some kind

With some words written to keep through time

And the dates of the life of the person are there

Separated by a dash of a line

That dash is now sandwiched between birth and death

All of your life is wrapped up in it

What does that dash say about you?

That is the question we one day will get.

So let’s make a sandwich that touches our friends

That reaches beyond to incredible ends

Don’t let that dash just be a small line

Let it bring joy and peace through the land

In response to trh daily prompt Sandwich

With Me

I’m walking with Jesus all the day long

He fills up my heart with a joyous song

I am so glad He travels along

With me

I’m talking with Jesus all the day long

He tells me he loves me, to him I belong

I am so glad He walks alongside

With me

What a wonderful Savoir I have

He takes care of my every need

He meets me in the morning dew

And stays with me all the day

What a wonderful Savior I have

He stays with me through every storm

And when day is done and the sun is set

Through the night He will always stay

I’m resting with Jesus under this tree

He tells me how much He really loves me

I lean on His shoulder, glad that He will be

With me

I’m trusting in Jesus every day

I know that He’ll lead me in His ways

And He will protect me all my days when He is

With Me

What a Merciful Savior I have

He overlooks all my mistakes

When I fall down He picks me up

And helps me start over again

What a Merciful Savior I have

He took my sin and shame away

When He gave His life at Calvary

He pardoned me with His dear grace

I will lift my voice and sing

Hallelujahs to the King

I will shout His praise

All of my days

To me He’s everything

I will worship His sweet name

He is day to day the same

I can trust in Him

He’s my lifelong friend

Jesus is His name

What a wonderful Savoir I have

He takes care of my every need

He meets me in the morning dew

And stays with me all the day

What a wonderful Savior I have

He stays with me through every storm

And when day is done and the sun is set

Through the night He will always stay

That Precious Name

Precious are you Lord, precious to me

More precious than silver, or gold or rubies

Dearer to me than anything

Precious are you Lord

Holy are you Lord, Holy indeed

Purer than anything this world can bring

Loving and Justin all your decrees

Holy are you Lord

So I will shout from the mountaintop

Praise the name of Jesus

I will sing with all I’ve got

Praise the name of Jesus

Worthy of my worship

Worthy of my heart

Praise the name, the precious name of Jesus

Merciful are you, my merciful Lord

Your mercy has reached out and pardoned me

From all of my sin and all my disease

Merciful are you Lord

Gracious are you Lord, gracious to me

Your grace extended to Calvary

You give more than I deserve unto me

Gracious are you Lord

He never stops loving me, never stops healing me

Never stops leading me through this earthly life

Never leaves me lonely, never strays away

He’s always right here by my side

And He has a plan for me, a plan to prosper me

I will trust Him always.  My life in in His hand

Even through the trials, even through the tests

I will rest in Him each day, my peace is His command

So I will shout from the mountaintop

Praise the name of Jesus

I will sing with all I’ve got

Praise the name of Jesus

Worthy of my worship

Worthy of my heart

Praise the name, the precious name of Jesus
