My Guiding Light

All of my life I have been searching for someone to help me out
All of my days are spent in wandering about
All of my trials and temptations don’t lead me anywhere
I have not figured out why I am here

I have looked to drugs and alcohol to bring me some relief
But they only added to me sense of grief
I had money, I was wealthy, I had riches and much fame
But life only seemed to be a tiresome game

Then I found the Lord or He found me
And He told me what I was made to be
A child of God and forever free
Now He’s here walking with me

 Jesus is my guiding light
Jesus is my help at night
Jesus is the one who saved my soul
 From the depths below

Now I choose to walk with Him and He shows me the way
His love shadows over me each day
I have given everything to follow in His past
Because I know it will last

I know the Lord and he knows me
All that I do and all that I see
I pray that He will help me be
All that He has desired for me

 Jesus is my guiding light
Jesus is my help at night
Jesus is the one who saves my soul
 From the depths below

I Give All To Him

I give all my heart to Him
Everything that’s deep within
Cries out to be free from sin
Help my heart to seek you

I give all my soul to Him
In His presence I will live
My praise will be an offering
Help my soul to find you

I give all my strength to Him
I am nothing without him
Through the waves I cannot swim
Help my weakness trust you

I give all my mind to Him
All the thoughts that stir within
He will help me conquer them
Help my mind to follow you

He alone provides the answer
To the question in my life
Everyday I’ll give up myself
I’ll give all to Him!
The Believers Life

You Are My Destiny

Rivers in the desert
Manna down from heaven
All that I desire
Comes alive in you

Mercy everlasting
Grace that knows no measure
Love uncompromising
Comes alive in you

Lord keep me safe in your arms
Lord give me rest from all harm
Only in you can I find peace
You are my destiny

All of our lives we search after meaning. Why am I here? What am I supposed to accomplish? What purpose is there for me? These questions, whether we want to admit it or not, flow through our minds day in and day out. They can drive us to do things that are not meant to be done. They can make us say things that should not be spoken. If someone gets in our way, we demand they move. If someone should offend us, we want to get even. All this because we have not yet found the real path that are lives are bound for. We have wandered and sometimes made our own path, thinking surely this will be the right way to go.

There is only one path. There is only on way. Our destiny is fulfilled once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. When we find His grace and mercy true rest comes. Rest for our wandering hearts. Rest for our weary souls. Our eternal destination, our destiny, is in Him. Once we have arrived there, the journey has just begun. From this point on life becomes a mission.

Philippians 3:13-14 King James Version
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Desire of Jesus

More Than All

More than silver
More than gold
More than riches
I can hold
More than all my earthly things
I need Jesus

More than power
More than fame
More than all
That I could gain
More than what this world can give
I need Jesus

I need Jesus every hour
I need Jesus in His power
I need Jesus in my life today
I need Jesus by my side
In His love I will abide
Above all this world can give
I need Jesus

The Vine

Lord feed me wisdom
That I might see
All the injustice
That’s all around me
All of the heartache
All of the pain
All of the suffering
All the disdain
Feed me a heart
That will reach out in love
And touch all the broken
So they’ll know your love

Lord feed me courage
That I might know
How to change doubt
Into faith that shows
All of the fear
All of the worry
All of the sorrow
All of the hurry
Feed me the strength
To open their eyes
And lead them to you, Lord
So faith will arise

You are the vine
I am the branch
Fill me with love
Give me a chance
To bear you much fruit
As I follow your plan
Tend to my life
With your loving hand

Feed me compassion
So others  may see
Your love for them, Lord
Through the life that I lead
All of the joy
All of the peace
All of the grace
All the mercy
Feed me with life
In all that I do
So I can successfully
Lead them to you

And all of the fruit I bear dear Lord

I owe it all to you

It is your loving hand that prunes the branch

To make it bear more fruit

So do with me what you will, dear Lord

To shape and mold this branch

No matter the trial or test that comes

My life it will enhance

You are the vine
I am the branch
Fill me with love
Give me a chance
To bear you much fruit
As I follow your plan
Tend to my life
With your loving hand

My Offering

I offer you my life, my heart, my soul

I offer you myself, dear Lord

I offer you my praise, my words, my mind

I give it all to you, my Lord

It’s my offering of praise

The worship of my heart

All I have I give to you

I lift up holy hands

I lift my voice in song

All I have I give to you

I offer you today, tomorrow and all time

To use me as your vessel, Lord

I offer you each hour, each minute of my day

Fill me with your love, oh Lord

Everything I have

Everything I am

All of it is yours

Lead me in your plan

All that I can do

All that I can say

I offer it to you

Use me, Lord, today

It’s my offering of praise

The worship of my heart

All I have I give to you

I lift up holy hands

I lift my voice in song

All I have I give to you

It’s Not Up To Me

It’s not up to me

To save a soul

To take their sins

And make them whole

But it is up to me

To tell them of Christ

So That they can accept Him

And change their lives

It’s not up to me

To heal the sick

To take their pain

And help them live

But it is up to me

To help them see

The one who heals

And dries their tears

My task is to tell them of Jesus

And the wonders He’s done for me

To open their eyes to the light of His love

So that they will truly believe

It’s not up to me

To convict of sin

To judge the lost

And purify them

But it is up to me

To witness each day

Of the love of Christ

And to pray and pray

It’s not up to me

To look down on them

Or to think I’m better

Because I have Him

But it is up to me

To love them with all

My heart must go out

To both big and small

My task is to tell them of Jesus

And the wonders He’s done for me

To open their eyes to the light of His love

So that they will truly believe

For I do not know what tomorrow brings

It just might be their last day

I need to tell them of Jesus

And pray, and pray, and pray

End the Chaos

When life gets chaotic

And you can’t find your way

I have a solution

To rearrange your day

Just start out with Jesus

Give His word some time

Sing praise to His name

It will trasnform your life

Because time spent with  Jesus

To start out the day

Will stiffle the chaos

Amd bring peace always.

Touch The Lord

I see the Lord

Most every day

He’s right beside me

As I pray

He walks with me

Along the way

He’s everywhere I go

When I see someone

Steeped in pain

I see the Lord

Inside of Him

I go and pray

That health would win

And I have touched my Lord

If someone’s feeble

In their home

And I go visit

When their alone

They brighten up

That someone comes

And I have touched my Lord

Jesus said that when we touch

One of His children, him we touch

He asks us to go out of our way

To make a difference in the world today

If one’s in prison

For their crime

And I go visit

And give my time

It cheers them up

They glad I came

And I have touched my Lord

Do you see Jesus

As you walk

In other people

In the park

He’s right there

Inside their heart

Waiting for a touch

Open your eyes

To others needs

And soon you’ll see

Their needs are real

It’s up to you

To help them heal

Your time to touch the Lord

Proceed With Caution

I  used to never be careful

About what I said or did

I just had fun and I partied

And most of my life was hid

But then I made Jesus my Savior

And He asked much more of me

He asked me to be His disciple

And live a life for His glory

So I put aside all of the parties

And I watched every word that I said

I wanted to glorify Jesus

And not bring reproach to His name

Now I know it’s hard to be perfect

In all that we say and do

So I will proceed with caution

As I witness to  all the world
