Rain is falling heavily
Has been all night long
Raindrops in the puddles
Make a merry song

Wind is whipping loudly
Rustling the leaves
Birds are huddled closely
Covered in the tree

Suddenly I hear a chirp
Sounding in my yard
Then I hear some others
Listening real hard

Looking out my wind
Cerulean skies appear
Clouds are rolling back
Sun is shining clear

Rain still falling gently
I look to the east
Rainbow casts its splendor
Bringing with it peace

God had made a promise
Many years ago
He’ll never flood the earth again
Like in the days of Noah

I look at to the rainbow
And thank God for the rain
I thank Him for the sunshine
His promise kept again

Let it Rain

I am tired
I am worn
I am weak
I am torn
Holy Spirit
Come and fill my cup today

I am empty
I am dry
I am running
Out of time
Holy Spirit
Come and quench this thirst of mine

Let it rain
Let It rain
Let the Holy Ghost rain down on me
Let it rain
Let it rain
Let the Holy Ghost rain down on me

I an hear a distant thunder
Drawing closer
Sounding louder
I can smell the rain approaching
Rain on me
Rain on me

Let it rain
Let It rain
Let the Holy Ghost rain down on me
Let it rain
Let it rain
Let the Holy Ghost rain down on me

The Good Life

It’s just a fact of life
We think we know it all
We have it figured out
Why question it at all

After this life’s done
There’s not much more for me
I might as well have fun
For this is all there’ll be

That misses one big question
That can’t escape my mind
Why are we here at all
Why is there a mankind

When I truly think about it
One basic truth comes out
We were put here on this earth
To help one another out

We’re not here for ourselves
How pointless that would be
We’re here to lift each other
And live in harmony

Let’s stop all the confusion
That comes when it’s just me
Let’s put the other first
How good would life then be

Don’t Be Distracted

When I am down and weary
And life seems like just a fight
There’s only one thing that revives me
One thing that will make things right

I summon up all that’s within me
I make up my mind to change course
Then way down deep in my spirit
I hear a resounding noise

Praise the Lord
I will praise the Lord
In any dark time or stormy sea
I will praise the Lord

Praise the Lord
I will praise the Lord
Nothing can keep the words in my mouth
I will praise the Lord

The next time you’re in a battle
The next time your mood is down
Just make up your mind to praise Him
Relief will quite soon be found

Praise the Lord
You should just praise the Lord
Don’t be distracted by things in your life
You should just praise the Lord

Praise the Lord
Let’s all just praise the Lord
When we lift Him up He lifts us up too
Let’s all just praise the Lord

His Child Forever

I have come a long way in my life
Yet I still have a long way to go
I’m learning His ways
There’s more every day
That He has to walk me through

When I started I knew very little
Just what I had learned in my youth
I made Him my Lord
Which brought a reward
He started to teach me the truth

His mercy is divine
His grace is amazing
His love overwhelms me
Jesus my Lord
His peace fills my spirit
His joy lifts my sorrows
His hope lasts forever
Jesus my Lord

Even when I start to wander
He never gives up on me
He calls out my name
He holds me again
His child forever I’ll be

And in the darkest days He’s there
Calming every storm
Leading me to safety when I’m scared
There’s a lesson to be learned
In every trial of life
Just ask the Lord to show you the way

His mercy is divine
His grace is amazing
His love overwhelms me
Jesus my Lord
His peace fills my spirit
His joy lifts my sorrows
His hope lasts forever
Jesus my Lord

Truly Inhumane

Some people say it’s not humane
To grow up livestock for their meat
Some say that it is not humane
For murderers to their fate to meet

But I say one thing trumps this all
As I see sinners set to fall
It’s not humane that they should go
Without the Gospel being told

Let’s tell them all of His story
That Jesus died to set us free
He gives new life eternally
For all who make Him Lord

All the Glory to You

We come into your house today
Into your presence with our praise
We lift our voices high
You’re name we magnify
All the glory to you
All the glory to you

Exalted to the highest place
We long to gaze into your face
Our worship fills the air
You fill the atmosphere
All the glory to you
All the glory to you
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God
All the glory to you

Your Mantra

Do you have a problem with worry
Does fear of the unknown lurk within
Your mind can find no peace
Your heart is not at ease
And it seems there is no joy life can bring

I have a suggestion you should try
That can change the outlook for each day
It takes a little time
But quite soon you will find
Your worries will dissolve along the way

Praise the Lord
Give it all you’ve got
Read His Word
Live it every day
Pray for needs
Listen for His voice
Give Him thanks
For each mercy found

And then take just one verse
Philippians four and eight
And make that verse your mantra
Follow it always

Think on things just
Think on things pure
Think on thing honest
Think on things true
Think on things lovely
Think on things virtuous
Think on things praiseworthy
Think on good reports

Then your mind will be renewed
Your heart will be restored
His peace will flow through you
His joy will overflow
Your life will be at rest
Your spirit will be eased
Worry will dissolve into the air
And you’ll be free

Your Mantra

The Great Escape

I was floundering through life
Delirious at times
By night so many drinks
By day smoke dulled my mind
I thought that life was grand
Because my mind was dulled
I really was in trouble
Enslaved by what I loved

But then I found the Savior
My great deliverer
He came in like a squadron
Defeating all my fear
I found myself with new desires
My mind was thinking straight
His love had filled my heart
Before it was too late

Jesus, Mighty Jesus
Authority is His
Power and dominion
Is always His to give
When He came into my life
He taught me how to live
He provided me a great escape

Escape from all my fears
Escape from all my doubts
Escape from all my sorrows
Escape from satan’s shouts
Escape from sins dead snare
Escape from words of hate
Escape from thoughts of lust
Escape from dumb debates
He broke all of my chains
I now am walking free
He opened prison doors
He brought me victory

Now I can trust in Him
My mind is in His word
His Spirit speaks to me
His peace is my reward
There’s no misunderstanding
Of who is in control
I’m putty in His hands
A sheep within His fold

Jesus, Mighty Jesus
Authority is His
Power and dominion
Is always His to give
When He came into my life
He taught me how to live
He provided me the great escape

He Came Back For Me

As a child I grew up in church so many years ago
As a teen I turned my back on God and wandered
In my early twenties I had truly lost my way
My life was heading down a lonely path

My mind had become mixed up from the things that I was taking
My body was a scrawny, hippie mess
Most people thought that I was destined to be left behind
Then suddenly my life was turned around

He came back for me
Jesus came and met me where I was
He told me that He loved me
Abd that He died for me
I asked Him to take over my life

Over forty years ago this all happened in my life
I have never turned my back on Him again
And I know if you have walked away and found you’re lost
That He’ll come back for you just the same

He came back for me
Jesus came and met me where I was
He told me that He loved me
And that He died for me
I asked Him to take over my life

He doesn’t ask us where we’ve been
He doesn’t ask us what we did
He doesn’t ask us why we left
He doesn’t ask us why we hid
He tells us that He loves us
He wraps His arms around us
He asks us to be His
And I chose to be His because

He came back for me
Jesus came and met me where I was
He told me that He loved me
And that He died for me
I asked Him to take over my life
