If He Loves Me

If He loves me why do I suffer
If He loves me why do I hurt
If He loves me why do the trials of my life bring trouble at every turn
If He loves me why do I tremble
at what the next day will bring
If He loves me when will He come to my side and remove all the things that sting

Isn’t it enough that He died for me to take away my sins?
Isn’t it enough that the comforter comes to settle your heart within?
All that this life will throw at you will never compare to His love
So when trials and tests try to steal all your rest
Come to Jesus for He is enough

His love is always there.  It is always a comfort, always a resting place when trouble comes.  We don’t have to wonder if he loves us if we will just look at the cross.  Look at what he went through for you.  Look at how much He suffered because he loves you.  There is no pain greater than the pain of His heart breaking when the Father turned His head and darkness covered the sky.  He had never been separated from His Father, not for all eternity past.  And yet for three hours, He was covered with sin, and the Father could not look.  That is how much Jesus loves you and me.

When trouble surround you and it seems that a temptation is too hard to bear, get that picture of the cross in your mind.  Think about Jesus on that cross.  In your minds eye look at the blood dripping down from His brow.  Look at the tears in His flesh.  Look at the nails in His feet and hands.  Look at His love poured out.  This is the image that will get you through your tests and trials.  He loved you so much that he stretched out His hands and died for you.  Isn’t that enough?  Does He really need to do any more for you to show you His love?

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him would have everlasting life.

Never Will I Ever Leave You

Never have I ever known a friend so faithful
Never have I ever known such joy
Never have I ever known a love unending
Never have I ever met one like you

CHORUS
Jesus what a name.  Name above all names
Mighty Redeemer. Healer of my soul
Jesus, Jesus. How I love that name
Never will I ever leave you

Never have I ever seen such healing power
Never have I ever seen such peace
Never have I ever seen a smile so radiant
Never have I ever met one like you

CHORUS

BRIDGE
You fill my heart with joy unspeakable,
Peace unmatchable, love undeniable (REPEAT)
Never will I ever leave you

CHORUS

Turn Around

I was wandering in the wilderness this morning
Wondering if my life was headed for a fall
Then I heard a gentle voice
Saying “Son you have a choice.
You can walk away or answer to my call.”

I had never thought I’d leave my precious Savior
But it seemed my life was spinning out of place
I was walking really slow
Then my legs began to bow
Soon I found that I had fallen on my face

I’m not sure how I got down on my knees
But I knew the Lord would hear my heartfelt pleas
I lifted up my voice
And I started to rejoice
For all the mercy He had shown to me

It was not uncommon that He’d speak to me
I heard His voice most every single day
And I always have a choice
To heard His gentle voice
Or to walk into the wilderness my way

I slowly raised myself up off the ground
Decided I would quickly turn around
I headed back to Him
From the place that I had been
To find the place where love and peace abound

Poured Out

I can’t imagine why He would come down
From His throne in the heavens above
To become a little baby in a manger
It was His love.  It was His love

I can’t imagine why He would spend time
With a group of ragged men He called His own
He taught them of the ways of His kingdom
It was His love.  It was His love

A love that knows no boundaries
‘A love that knows no end
A love that keeps on giving
A love that calls me friend
A love that gives itself away
A love that welcomes all
His love is more than I can know
His love is all in all

I can’t imagine why he would give His life
To take away my sin and my shame
Then he rose again to grant me eternal life
It was His love.  It was His love

Poured out through the ages.  Poured out on the earth
Poured out from His heart of hearts to all who find His worth
Poured out for our sins.  Poured out for our souls
The blood He shed was poured out by His love

A love that knows no boundaries
‘A love that knows no end
A love that keeps on giving
A love that calls me friend
A love that gives itself away
A love that welcomes all
His love is more than I can know
His love is all in all

He Did It All For Me

As I approached the cross
I could hardly look
At the body that was Christ
At the agony he bore
Tears welled up in my eyes
As I saw the crown of thorns
He took it all for me

I saw the stripes they gave’
Wrapped around His frame
I saw the nails they drove
Into His feet and hands
I saw the blood run down
How could he even talk
He did it all for me

I saw Him grasp for breath
Just enough to breathe
But suddenly He spoke
Words that pierced the air
Father forgive them
They know not what they do
With those words He forgave me and you

Forgiven.  I’m forgiven
I’m set free from guilt and shame
Forgiven.  I’m forgiven
I’m set free and I’ll praise His name
Jesus Christ my victory
He did it all for me
He did it all for you
He did it all for all.

The Place for Me

My enemy is standing at the door
Grumbling and complaining to get in
I could feel the evil he would pass to me
I didn’t freeze
Got on my knees

Then I heard a voice I had heard before
Saying get away from him, he is mine
I knew it was my Savior and my Lord
He heard my prayer
Down on my knees

The place for me is down on my knees
I can’t stand before the Son of God
His throne is where I want to spend my time
Giving Him praise
Lifting His name

He raised me to my feet and held me tight
I could heard the devil as he walked away
A smile came on my face in that moment
He say me there
Down on my knees

The place for me is down on my knees
There’s no other place I would rather be
It is there my Savior hears my every word
I need to stay
Down on my knees

I know my enemy will return someday
I know he won’t give up that easily
But when he does I know I have a weapon
A humble prayer
Down on my knees

The place for me is down on my knees
There is victory when I surrender all
So I’ll lift my voice and bow my head
And pray to God
Down on my knees

Lord Forever

There’s something inside me that wants to sing His praise
There’s something inside me that loves His saving grace
There’s something inside me that must get out
There’s something inside me that wants to shout
There’s something inside me that wants to lift His name

Jesus,  my redeemer
Savior Lord forever
Hear my praise lifted high, lifted high
Glory to the Father
Glory to the Son
Glory to the Holy Ghost
All in one

There’s something inside me that wants to be a friend
There’s something inside me that needs to lend a hand
There’s something inside me that must declare
The love that’s available through His death
There’s something inside me to help you understand

He is Lord, He is Savior, He is healer, Lord forever
He is mighty, He is holy, He is with us, Lord forever

Jesus,  my redeemer
Savior Lord forever
Hear my praise lifted high, lifted high
Glory to the Father
Glory to the Son
Glory to the Holy Ghost
All in one

A Crown of Victory

Adam and Eve were awakened that day
When their innocency was washed away
From God’s presence they became afraid
So they hid from the face of God

He asked them why they hid away
They blamed one another for their shame
But God knew that they were both to blame
Sin had now entered the world

He told the woman she would give birth
He told the man that the earth would be cursed
Thorns and thistles would grow to hinder their work
In that garden that once was free

The way was blocked to the tree of life
For thousands of years man lived in strife
Then Jesus cam and offered His life
As a ransom for you and me

He told a story about seeds that were sown
The seed of the Word of God was His own
Yet for many the thorns made the word unknown
And the seed withered and died

The thorns He wore that day as a crown
Represented the thorns that grew from the ground
Of the garden that day when man fell down
He wore them the day that He died

But those thorns were a crown of victory
That Jesus won for you and me
He is the way to that wonderful tree
That gives us eternal life

Will You?

Will you walk with me today?
Will you talk with me today?
Will you listen and hear the words I will speak?
Will you spend just a moment with me?

Will you pray for a friend today?
Will you help out a stranger in need?
Will you speak words of faith to a soul who’s in doubt?
Will you be what I want you to be?

I have given you this day
Every minute is a gift of grace
I pray you don’t waste it
But please make the most of it
Follow my will today

Will you walk in my way, not yours?
Will you speak my words, not yours?
Will you take all your thoughts captive to me?
Will you truly be set free?

Every breath you breathe is from me
Everything you see is from me
Make the most of this day by being a friend
Finding and meeting their needs

I truly believe that every day God gives us opportunity to minister to someone, and often we don’t recognize that opening when it comes.  When a person starts talking to you and tells you that there is a problem in their life, do you take time right then and there to pray?  I have a habit of saying that I will pray for them ,but don’t always take the time to pray while I am with them.  While Jesus was on this earth, the bible is very clear that He prayed for everyone that came to Him, and they were all healed.  Now, I am obviously not Jesus, but I believe if I walked in this kind of faith, more people would see the healing power of God.  Not because I am praying, but because I extended faith to them so they could believe.

The most precious gift we have is our time!  We must utilize it more for Him and less for ourselves.  We all have daily tasks that take up precious minutes in our day.  But taking a minute or two to pray with someone at the time we are with them should be a  flexibility we will have.  May we all take this precious gift and share it with others.  We can change the world one person at a time!

James 5:16b King James Version
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
