How Excellent Are Your Ways

Oh God, how excellent are your ways

You have been God since before the foundation of the world

You spoke and the earth was formed

The waters and the earth gathered together at your word

At the sound of your voice the earth brought forth trees and greenery

The sun and the moon appeared at your command, and you placed the stars in space

Then you created all the animals, on the ground, in the sea, and the birds and insects

Then you made man out of the dust of the ground

You gave him dominion over all that you have made

And you said it was all good

And you rested

Oh God, my God, how excellent are your ways

Still today you watch over your creation

You bring the rain in due season

The thunder blasts and the lightning crashes at your command

The sky clears and the rainbow appears to remind us of your promise

You bring the crops to maturity and the farmers bring in the harvest

The harvest you have provided

You turn the trees to brilliant colors in the cool fall air

We marvel at the beauty of your creation

Oh God, my God how excellent are your ways in all the earth

You still love man despite the way he has failed you

You still see him as the crowning jewel of your creation

You cry out to him to turn back to your word

Because you know what is best for your creation

Help us Lord, to turn to you

Help us to follow your word

Help us to pray for our nation

You have been so good to us while we have turned our backs on you

Forgive our nation, Lord, for our transgressions

Hear our plea for healing and restoration

Renew us in your word, and clothe us with your Holy Spirit

Let your love arise in our hearts as we worship you

Let the church rise and carry out your word

That we should humble ourselves,

And pray,

And seek your face,

And turn from our wicked ways

Because then, and only then

Will you hear from heaven

And forgive our sins

And heal our Land.

Oh God, my God, How excellent are your ways in all the earth.

Help Me, Lord

I’m guilty

Guilty as anyone

And I must confess right now

I’m guilty

Of judging people from what I perceive

When they are different in

Speech

Size

Shape

Color

Hairstyle

Ethnicity

Mannerisms

I see different

And I make an assessment

And it usually them less than myself

Oh, foolish pride

That would put me above others

Help me, Lord

Help to see past their

Speech

Size

Shape

Color

Hairstyle

Ethnicity

Mannerisms

Help me to see their heart

Help me to see them as equal,

Or even better

Than myself

Because most probably are

Help me not to judge

But to love

Unconditionally

Everyone I meet

Help me, Lord

Put aside preconceived prejudices

And notions

Help me, Lord

To see the heart

Lending the Light

A birthday cake is always fun

When children are involved

Their faces will light up the room

As the we sing a familiar song

The candle count goes with their years

They are lit and shining bright

The light reflects in the child’s eyes

As they blow them out of sight

But much more important is the light

That my candle shines each day

The love of Jesus in my heart

Must show others the way

And I must guard real closely

That it never gets blown out

Because that child depends on me

To know what God’s about

Keep your candle burning

Let it always lend it’s light

To those who need a Savior

Let it shine both day and night

A Little Smoother Now

I used to be clumsy with speech

I’d juggle and mess up my words

I liked to talk

And I wouldn’t balk

At saying things really absurd

I joined a group called Toastmasters

They taught me to speak really well

I now had a voice

And made the right choice

Of which words to use – it is swell!

Now I can speak so much smoother

I can share what’s important to me

The Lord Jesus Christ

Has transformed my life

And He wants to set you free!

In response to the daily prompt Clumsy

All

All to thee, my Savior

All to thee I give

I will lift my praise to you

As long as I shall live

All for you, my Savior

All my works for you

Everything I do on earth

Your glory will show through

All you ask, my Savior

All you ask of me

I will listen closely

Your voice is what I seek

And when the day is done

When the sun has gone to rest

I will lift my voice in song

So God will be most blessed

I’ll sing Hallelujah, Praise Him

Lift Hosannas to the sky

Praise and adoration

To the Lord most high

I’ll sing Holy is the Lord of Hosts

He’s the King of Kings

Glory to the Lamb of God

Lord of Everything

All my praise to you Lord

All my praise I give

I will worship you, my God

As long as I shall live

Keeping His Word

I remember when my kids were young

I’d make promises so fast

And the my work would swallow me

And the promise would not last

They’d get all disappointed

And they remembered every line

So when it came to teenage years

It was hard to get their time

God made His promises to us

And wrote them in His book

He always keeps those promises

We just have to take a look

So open up your bible now

And see what He has said

There’s a promise there for you today

And It will come true today.

Great, Great Love

One day every knee will bow

In heaven and in earth

And every tongue will confess

That Jesus Christ is Lord

It matters not what they believed

While living on this earth

They must acknowledge He is Lord

For all the world to see

And those who served Him here below

Will then a mansion gain

But those who chose another road

A fire awaits them

As for me I’ll sing His praise

As long as I have breath

For He’s the one who gave His life

So I’d be free from sin

Oh, the great, great love of God

Who sent His only Son

To die and take my sin away

And rose to give me life

Oh the great. Great love of God

Who looks down from above

And helps me every day I live

To grow in grace and truth

I’ll lift my praise Hosanna

Glory to the King

Highest Hallelujahs

Praise His mighty name

Praise and adoration

To Jesus Christ my Lord

Worthy of my highest praise

Now and evermore.

Made to Make a Difference

You travel through life a day at a time

Trying to find your way

It seems you are not getting anywhere fast

As you tackle life every day

Then you meet Jesus, and you ask Him to com

Into your heart to stay

And now you feel there’s a purpose to life

So you start to ask as you pray.

Lord, why have I had so many hurts

And difficult times in my life

Why have I faced such a series of tests

That have brought me a good deal of strife

And God answers back that now you’re prepared

To help others with things in their life

Because your an original, one of a kind

But what you have learned helps mankind

So get out and share your experiences

And see who wil heed your call

What you  have gone through will help many come

And answer the Masters call

Every Time I Think

Every time I think about your grace, Lord

And how your blessings fall on me

I look up to the sky

A tear forms in my eye

As I lift my hands in praise to thee

Every time I think about your mercy

And the fact that you forgave all of my sin

My heart leaps in my chest

And my soul becomes so blessed

My worship comes from way down deep within

You are high above all others

You are greater than I know

You are more than mighty

You are more than worthy

Of the praise that I can show

So I will lift my voice and sing out

My worship song to all the earth

I’ll shout it all around

The streets of my small town

Until they all have heard the word

Every time I think about the hope, Lord

That you have put within my soul

I raise my eyes to heaven

Where soon I will be dwelling

You made it my eternal home

Every time I think about your love, Lord

And how you gave your life to set me free

I lift my voice in praise

To your mighty, glorious name

Because before I knew you, you loved me

You are high above all others

You are greater than I know

You are more than mighty

You are more than worthy

Of the praise that I can show

So I will lift my voice and sing out

My worship song to all the earth

I’ll shout it all around

The streets of my small town

Until they all have heard the word

Humble Yourself

Pride is the enemies most valuable weapon

Pride is the way he maintains his possession

Whenever I get tied up inside of myself

Pride convinces me I’m okay.

Pride will take me to heights of elation

Pride will send me to the depths of depression

Whenever I get tied up inside my own self

Pride convinces me I must stay.

Pride is the enemy of God in our hearts

Pride is the first thing that has to depart

Whatever it takes to get out of myself

Pride must be left in the past

Because to come to God we must acknowledge our sins

We must ask His forgiveness and grace

We must bow down before Him and say He is Lord

Then, and only then, we’ll be saved

Then we will know of His ultimate love

Then we will know that He rules from above

Then we will know that He that He wants to know us

In the very depths of our hearts

And if we humble ourselves before God on that day

We will taste of His marvelous, wonderful grace

We will start to feel love as the pride we erase

And allow His meek Spirit to thrive

So won’t you please recognize all of the pride

That you’ve bottled up way down deep inside

And bow on your knee and lay it aside

And be humbled before your God?
