It’s Coming Soon

It’s summer time now and it’s warm

But that will soon fade away

And the cool breeze of autumn will come

And the sun will shorten the day

Then winter will surely set in

And the cold north wind will come

Sending a shiver all over me

As I huddle and try to keep warm

But there is another shiver

That has me much more concerned

It’s the shiver of fright that people will feel

When Jesus our Lord will return

When the saints are all gathered together

And those left behind realize

That they are now in tribulation

As was promised in years gone by

If you have not met my Jesus

Now is the time to be saved

You too can avoid the shiver

That will come on that fateful day

The Great Escape

Lions and tigers and bears oh my

Roar out their power as we pass by

Fierce is the word that we use to describe

Their countenance on this earth

But fiercer still is the wrath of God

I don’t want to be in His anger caught

And there’s only one way to avoid the onslaught

That will come to those who don’t believe

Jesus, the way the truth, the life

You need to accept His sacrifice

He is the great escape for your life

Trust Jesus, and you will be saved.

Go To God

If you had a Rolex watch

And it was not working properly

You would take it to an expert Rolex watchmaker

If you had an expensive camera

And the pictures were not coming out clear

You would take it to an expert in cameras

Any piece of equipment we have

If it is broken

And we would want it repaired

We would take it to

An expert

So why do we seek out all kinds of help

When we are broken

Or run down

Or needing help

Instead of going  to the expert

The God who formed us in our mother’s womb

The God who created all things by His word

The God who loves us more than we can imagine

Next time your life is just not working

Go to the expert

Go to God

No Mistake

When God called me I wondered

If there was some mistake

I was just a sinner

Far away from grace

But then I met my Savior

He washed away my sin

And now I serve the Lord of Lords

This changes everything

He fills me with His Spirit

His peace and joy abound

His love is overwhelming

My soul found solid ground

I’ve learned that He knows all

And there are no mistakes

So If He calls to you today

Just trust His love and grace

Now I Can See

I can see, I can see said the blind man

As he wiped the mud out of His eyes

He’d been touched by a man whom he did not know

And His sight was now fully realized

He cried where is the man who touched me?

Jesus came up and stood by him

He said I am the one who brought back your sight

Will you now give witness to me?

The man looked at Jesus and smiled

He said surely I’ll ell the whole world

Because I was just blind and now I can see

Just help me to speak the right words

Jesus told him to just tell his story

Of how he’d received his sight

And the man went his way as a witness for Christ

Sharing with all of his might.

Your Choice

Riots in the street

Mass murderers multiplying

Corruption in politics

Moral values declining

Where is it all leading?

Church is not important

But party and getting high are

What was taboo is now protected

A pure life won’t get you far

Where is it all leading?

The end is now near

To me is quite obvious

There are many out there

Who are so oblivious

The bible is clear

When times like these come

Our Lord will appear

And take the saints home

Will you be among

Those taken away

Or will you be left out

With all those who stay?

All Our Days

In this life that just keeps turning

People want to keep on learning

Their hearts are always yearning

For the truth

As knowledge just keeps growing

We have some trouble knowing

When the truth is really showing

In the news

There is one truth that’s abiding

And it never will go hiding

God’s love is overriding

Of our ways

And if we will trust His mercy

That He sent to us at Calv’ry

We can live a life that’s set free

All our days

Age Does Not Matter

I used to think when I as young that fifty was real old

And now that I am old I think that fifty is quite young

And in that spam of time that’s gone between these years of mine

I’ve come to realize one simple truth

It matters not to God if you are young or if you’re old

In His blessed word we see His handiwork unfold

On people of all ages, from seven  to one hundred

A willing heart is all He needs to have

So open up your heart today and let the Savior in

Let God have His way with you and a journey will begin

He will take you places that you’ve never been before

Because age does not matter with God

Life is Not a Game

We hear familiar music on the TV every day

Of a game show that so many love to play

People wager what they’ve won as they try to guess the clues

And every time they answer they’re in jeopordy to lose

It’s fun to play along on this trivial pursuit

In fact the board games really are a hoot

Simple fun can be a way to come together with your friends

And create a bond that opens up a door to let you in

So take advantage of those times when gathering together

And find out if their lives are jeopardized forever

Or if they have met Jesus and are now bound up for heaven

Please don’t let that moment pass you by.

Youth Again

I have traveled down the road of life

For sixty four sweet years

They’ve been filled with many wonders

And also filled with tears

In my youth I was a rebel

Party life was what I sought

I just lived to please my flesh

My soul he devil bought

But then I met this Jesus

Who saved me from my sin

The party life was over

And a new life did begin

And even though it’s forty years

Since I accepted Him

I feel like I’m a youth again

There’s so much more to learn
