I used to have this feeling
That I was in Satan’s snare
He cast on eerie shadow
It followed me everywhere
But then I called on Jesus
He freed me from my sin
And Satan moved away from me
I now have peace within
In response to the daily prompt Eerie
I used to have this feeling
That I was in Satan’s snare
He cast on eerie shadow
It followed me everywhere
But then I called on Jesus
He freed me from my sin
And Satan moved away from me
I now have peace within
In response to the daily prompt Eerie
It’s not up to me
To save a soul
To take their sins
And make them whole
But it is up to me
To tell them of Christ
So That they can accept Him
And change their lives
It’s not up to me
To heal the sick
To take their pain
And help them live
But it is up to me
To help them see
The one who heals
And dries their tears
My task is to tell them of Jesus
And the wonders He’s done for me
To open their eyes to the light of His love
So that they will truly believe
It’s not up to me
To convict of sin
To judge the lost
And purify them
But it is up to me
To witness each day
Of the love of Christ
And to pray and pray
It’s not up to me
To look down on them
Or to think I’m better
Because I have Him
But it is up to me
To love them with all
My heart must go out
To both big and small
My task is to tell them of Jesus
And the wonders He’s done for me
To open their eyes to the light of His love
So that they will truly believe
For I do not know what tomorrow brings
It just might be their last day
I need to tell them of Jesus
And pray, and pray, and pray
David was a teenager
When he faced the giant
Goliath had a victors laugh
But David brought him down
The giant in our lives is sin
We’ve no way to defeat it
But Jesus paid the price for us
The giant’s been defeated
Today take Jesus as your Lord
And He will be your Savior
The giants in your life will fall
Before His mighty name
In response to the daily prompt Giant
There’s a great divide between God and man
The gulf is large and deep
It’s been in place since Adam ‘s day
It’s way the angels keep
When Jesus died upon that cross
He paid the price for sin
And He became the crossing bridge
For all of us to win
The only way to God you see
Is Jesus Christ today
So come and take Him as your Lord
And He’ll show you the way
In rsponse to the daily prompt Bridge
When I begin to think about
What Jesus did for me
I always must remember
The day He set me free
My sins were overwhelming
I couldn’t find my way
I tried so many other things
That just led me astray
But Jesus said He’d rescue me
From the depths of sin
I needed to escape my past
And find some peace within
Oh, what a merciful Savior
Oh, what grace divine
Jesus is my answer
Jesus now is mine
So I sat down and prayed a prayer
And asked Him in my heart
There was no doubt He touched me
As I felt Him from the start
From that day on He stayed with me
I grew in His embrace
And now I trust Him every day
To cover me with grace
My heart shouts out His praises
As I lift my voice in song
He’s all I ever needed
With Him I can’t go wrong
Oh, what a merciful Savior
Oh, what grace divine
Jesus is my answer
Jesus now is mine
I used to live life in a fog
My mind was always cloudy
And smoke swirled ’round my head all day
My life was kind of rowdy.
But then I met my Savior
Jesus is His name
The fog lifted
Life was changed
i’ll never be the same
Now I’m free from sin and shame
I have reason to live
I’m free at last
From troublled past
My praise to Him I give
In response to the daily prompt Smoke
There was a time that I was not welcome
Banned is a better word
I had not accepted criteria
For eternity with the Lord
But then I asked His forgiveness
For all of of the sins of my past
And He washed me whiter than whitest snw
And said enter into my rest
Now I’m not banned any longer
I’m welcome for all of time
I sure hope that you know the Savior
So you can share in my rhyme
In response to the daily prompt Banned
Changes come and changes go
You never know what’s next
Hairstyles, fashion, colored toes
It’s hard to know what’s best
But all these changes just don’t last
They make no difference
And when the change has come to pass
Most people could care less
I know one change that is for real
A brilliant transformation
For when I came to Jesus Christ
He gave me Salvation
My life was changed in every way
His Word becamse my ration
As I applired it to my life
It gave me inspiration
From weak I now became strong
From poor He filled me up
I was a sinner, shame throughout
He cleaned my inner cup
My life was bound for hell that day
But now I’m heaven bound
The transformation Jesus brought
Chnaged me from kost to found
In response to the daily prompt Transformation
One day every knee will bow
And every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord of all
In heaven and in earth
One day everyone will gather
‘Round the throne of God
Some will live eternally
Some will be cast out
He’s calling out today
For all to find His way
So why not bow and pray
To Jesus Christ today
This day you can make the choice
That one day will decide
Whether you will live eternally
Or be the one cast out
This day make the choice for Jesus
He’s the only way
Take Him as your Lord and Savior
Call on Him today
He will take your sins away
Wash them white as snow
He will give you peace and joy
That you have never known
He will grant deliverance
From all that holds you down
He will replace all your fear
With faith that you can grow
He will give you hope that lasts
For all eternity
His love will encompass you
And let’s you know you’re his
He’s calling out today
For all to find His way
So why not bow and pray
To Jesus Christ today
Shout to the Lord
Sing out His praise
He is magnificent
In all of His ways
Dance for the Lord
With a heart full of joy
He is Amazing
And, Oh so much more
He formed the earth
Divided the seas
Set up the sun
He created the trees
Brought up the beasts
And birds of the air
Then He made man
His image He shared
And when He was done
He said all was good
Creation was done
It is wonderful
Give to the Lord
All of your praise
Worship His holiness
Lift up His name
Raise up your hands
Lift up your eyes
He is exalted
God only wise
Came down from heaven
Gave up His throne
Suffered and beaten
Left all alone
Forgiving my sin
Washing it white
Filling my life
With His glorious light
Placed in the tomb
Sealed with a stone
Rose up to life
Will soon take me home
Taking my shame
My quilt and my fear
Filled me with peace
He dries every tear
I will rejoice
In Jesus my Lord
Day after day
He’s the one I adore
Forever and ever
I’ll praise His name
For He is worthy
Of all of my praise
