Just Pray

In the darkness
In the quiet
In the loneliness they felt
Women weeping
Men in anguish
Their world had been upset

Yesterday
They saw Him die
Jesus was their closest friend
For three years
Day after day
They had heard Him preach the word

They saw Him heal the sick
Raise the dead
Open blind eyes
Make the deaf to hear
The dumb to speak
Cleanse the leper
Stop the issue of blood
Turn water into wine
They saw Him do all these things
Now He was gone
They were alone

I can imagine
They took time to pray
Time to reflect on all He had done
He told them he would rise form the dead
Bit they did not believe that was possible
All they could do was pray
Ask God what’s next
What do they do now?

Isn’t that what we should ask
What now Lord?
What is your next task
Your next mission
Who should I witness to
What should I say
Give me the words
And the boldness
These are things we should pray about
Not to be blessed
But to be a blessing
In times of uncertainty
As the disciples certainly had this day
Pray
Then pray some more
Then pray even more
Pray and God will answer
Pray and God will speak
Pray and God will show you His way
Just pray!

I Surrender All

Silently
I wait for thee
Patiently
Down on my knees
Praying to you
Fervently
Lord please hear my cry

Listening
To hear your voice
In you, Oh Lord
I now rejoice
As you speak
I make a choice
Lord I surrender all

All to thee Lord
All to thee
I surrender all
All to thee Lord
All to thee
I surrender alll

He Gives Me the Power

He gives me the power
Resurrection power
Dead come back to life
Sight unto the blind

He gives me the power
Overwhelming power
Darkness into light
Dormant take to flight

By His blood I can do anything
By His cross His praise is all I sing

What a Savior. What a friend
Who brought me up from the grave
What a wondrous gift He gives
All my days for Him I’ll live

He gives me the power
Overcoming power
Sadness becomes joy
Peace that calms the storm

By His blood I can do anything
By His cross His praise is all I sing

What a Savior. What a friend
Who brought me up from the grave
What a wondrous gift He gives
All my days for Him I’ll live

Hallelujah. Hallelujah
Hallelujah. Hallelujah
What a Savior. What a friend
I will love Him ‘til my end

You Amaze Me

Out of the ashes. Out of the night
Out of the darkness. I come to you

Out of my sin. Out of my pain
Out of my weakness. I come to you

CHORUS
You wait for me to come to you
I stand amazed at your great love
You died for me when I was lost
What a gracious God you are
What a gracious God you are

Into your presence. Into your light
Into your Spirit. I come to you

CHORUS

BRIDGE
You amaze me
You amaze me
You amaze me by your mercy Lord (REPEAT)

CHORUS

The Only One

Where does the power come from
Where does your grace reside
Where can I find forgiveness
At the cross. The wonderful cross

Where was I healed from sickness
Where was my shame washed away
Where is there found true freedom
At the cross. The wonderful cross

CHORUS
No other place on earth nor in heaven high above
Has God come down to man to show His eternal love
No sacrifice was greater than God giving His only son
No other one can save us. Jesus is the only one

Where did He give me new life
Where was heaven made home
Where did He gain the victory
At the tomb when He rose again

CHORUS

BRIDGE
He rose in power and glory
He rose in majesty
He rose so we could rise with Him
When He shall return again

CHORUS

Precious Are Your Thoughts To Me

You knew me when I did not know you
You cared for me when I did not care
You loved me when I cursed your name out loud
What a Savior you are to me

You saw me when sin was my playground
You sought me in that miry clay
You searched for my heart when my heart was stone
What a Savior you are to me

CHORUS
Precious are your thoughts to me
More than I can count
More than I know
Precious are your thoughts to me
What a Savor, what a friend indeed

You are there by my side when I need you
You hear me when I call your name
You wrap your arms around me when I’m hurt and feel alone
What a Savior you are you me

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Savior and friend
You love ‘til the end
You captured my heart
Right from the start
You fill all my needs
Forgive my misdeeds
How marvelous is your grace
How marvelous is your grace

CHORUS

Psalm 40 Chorus

I waited patiently on the Lord
Then He inclined to me
He heard my cry
Oh, Lord, I love you so (REPEAT)

You picked me up
Out of the miry clay
Set my feet
On the rock to stay

There’s a new song in my mouth
Praises to my God
Praises to my King
Praises to my Lord

Victory by Death

He was beaten, bruised and torn
His body tired and worn
Yet he did not speak a word in His defense
A crown of thorns upon His head
His forehead slowly bled
Then pain and agony was quite intense

Then they placed a robe upon Him
With a scepter in His hands
The guard knelt down and mocked Him as a King
Little did they know their words
Were true through all of time
Because He was indeed the King of Kings

The cross was laid upon His back
He fell beneath its weight
His weak and bloody body just gave out
They led Him to Golgotha
They nailed Him to the cross
Forgive them was His final living shout

They thought they had the victory
But soon they would find out
That what they did would touch all of mankind
Three days He laid a dead man
But then He rose again
The victory over life and death complete

He brought us victory that day
He showed us His amazing grace
By dying and then rising up again
Now we should live for Him
His Word deep down within
For soon He will be coming back again

The Believers Life

Go and Do

Do you wonder who you are
or what you should do
if you are a Christian?
Do you wonder what His plan is
or what His will is
for your life?
The answer is clearly written
Clearly spelled out
In His word

You are the salt of the earth
The light of the world
The hope of nations
You are a child of the king
Adopted into God’s family
An heir of His blessing
You are a royal priest
A peculiar person
A chosen generation
You are washed in the blood
Redeemed by the Lamb
Unto good works

Your mission is to preach the gospel
Unto all the earth
Baptizing as you go
Heal the sick
Bring sight to the blind
Open the deaf ears and dumb mouths
Let your light shine
So all may see your good works
And glorify God
You are to be meek
poor in spirit
hungry and thirsty for righteousness
Peacemakers
Mournful over sin
Reapers of the harvest
You are to speak
words of edification
That will minister grace
You are to show
love to your enemy
joy in the midst of trials
You are to forgive
all who may wrong you
and not be offended
You are to love
without hypocrisy
unconditionally
You are to bear all things
Believe all things
Hope all things
Endure all things
You are not to be proud
Or backbiters
Or gossipers
You are to be pure just
‘ Honest and true
Virtuous and full of praise

All of these things and many more
Are found in His word
A letter of love to you
If you’re looking for your purpose
It is already written
Now Go and Do!

The Believers Life

You’re Beautiful, Lord

You’re beautiful, Lord
My eyes behold your glory in the heavens
My lips sing your praise on the earth
My ears long to hear your still, small voice
I smell the fragrance of the afternoon rains and I rejoice
My feet are swift to run to you
My arms reach out to embrace you
You’re beautiful, Lord

You’re wonderful, Lord
You paid the price for my sin
You took the stripes for my healing
You were nailed to a cross to set me free
Your blood was spilled to cleanse my mind
You rose again to give me eternal life
You are coming back to take me home
You’re wonderful, Lord

I will lift up my voice and praise you’re sweet name
Jesus, King of Kings
Jesus, Lord of Lords
Jesus, Lamb that was slain for me
Jesus, my redeemer
Jesus, My Savior
Jesus, forever He will be with me
