My Savior Lives

 He knows my need
 He knows me need
 When I am afraid
 He knows my need

 He hears my prayer
 He hears my prayer
 When I’m feeling down
 He hears my prayer

 He gives me peace
 He gives me peace
 When the storms arise
 He gives me peace

 He sends His joy
 He sends His joy
 When sorrow takes hold
 He sends His joy

 He’s always there
 He’s always there
 When I’m all alone
 He’s always there

 He died for me
 He died for me
 He shed His blood
 He died for me

 He saved my soul
 He saved my soul
 I was lost in sin
 He saved my soul

 He’s coming back
 He’s coming back
 He will take me home
 When He comes back

 I’ll praise His name
 I’ll praise His name
 My Savior lives
 I’ll praise His name

He Is The Answer

Why do I question my tomorrow when He’s got tomorrow in His hand
Why do I question my future when He’s always working out His plan
Why do I question what He’s doing when He’s doing good for me
Why do I question my decisions when He’s got His arms around me

Why do I wonder if I hear Him when His voice is deep inside me
Why do I wonder if He’ll heal me when breath is still flowing through me
Why do I wonder if He’ll hear me when He’s answered every prayer
Why do I wonder if He’s near me when He said He’ll always be there

I don’t have to question but I do
I don’t have to wonder what will be
I just have to rest in His arms
For He knows what’s best for me
Come trial or test
Come trouble or pain
I know I am His
I know I’ll be safe
I’ll trust in His love
For He is enough
Yes, He is the answer for me

It’s inevitable. At some point in our lives we will question God. We will question what He is doing. We will ask why we have to go through this trial or that struggle. We will wonder how our financial obligations will be met. We will be concerned over what the future holds when today looks so bleak. These question and many more are no problem for God. He is the answer to every question. He will answer you if you ask Him. That promise is repeated over and over and over again in His Word. Psalm 66:18, Jeremiah 33:3, John 14:14, are just a few of the many examples. He has no intention of leaving us in a place of questioning and doubt. His word is there to build our faith upon, to show us His ways, to reveal His plan for our lives. When questions start to arise, get into the word, for there you will find your answers. This world does not have the answer to these questions. I do not have the answer. But He does. Trust Him!

Matthew 7:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Note: If you struggle in your prayer life and would like to strengthen it, perhaps you would like a copy of my book. I wrote this during my cancer battle and it is based on Matthew 7:7. In Christ Alone

I’ll lift my hand
I’ll lift my voice
In Christ alone
I will rejoice

I’ll bow my head
I’ll bend my knee
In Christ alone
I’ll always be

In Him all sin will be erased
In Him no enemy escapes
In Him all victory is mine
In Him I’ll gladly lose my life

For He is my rock, my sword, my shield
To Christ alone I gladly yield
All of my strength and soul and mind
Giving my heart my life I find

He’ll take me places
Yet unknown
I’ll gladly follow
Christ alone

Why do I even think about dwelling anywhere else but in His presence. Look at this world we are living in right now. We have a virus that is scaring the masses on one side, and violence in our streets on the other. We have disheartening stories about businesses being destroyed and lives being taken for a cause that should b e fought in the individual hearts of men, not in the chambers of our government. This is not a government issues. It’s a heart issue. I heard someone say to me the other day that it would work out best if everyone would just treat people with respect, the way they want to be treated. Now where have I heard that before? The words of Christ ring true. His promises never fail.

I need to spend time in His presence. I need to meditate on the words He spoke. I need to lift up His name in praise. I need to spend time on my knees in prayer, praying for my brothers and sisters in this country who just can’t seem to get it right. I need to pray for government leaders, whether I agree with their policies or not, that they will find the will of God for this great country of ours. I need to allow the Holy Spirit to guide my every step. When I do these things and more, I am walking in Christ. Life will be so much better then!

Leviticus 19:18 New International Version (NIV)
18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

You’ll See Me Through

Lord I am waiting. Waiting for you
Because I am certain that you’ll see me through

Lord I am hopeful. Hopeful that you
Will hear every prayer that I lift to you

You are so faithful. Faithful to me
You are so faithful. The answer I’ll see
When times get hard. When things seem so dark
I know you are faithful if I’ll do my part

Lord I am praying. Praying to you
For when I cry Jesus your presence is sure

I don’t have to worry. I don’t have to fret
I don’t have to wonder. The answer I’ll get
All that He asks of me. All He requires
Is that I cry out to him. That’s what he desires

How long am I willing to wait? Am I willing to wait 14 years, like Jacob did for Rachel? Am I willing to wait 40 years like Moses did on the back side of the desert, or like the children of Israel in the wilderness? Am I willing to wait once I have killed Goliath to see the promise of God come on my life as David did? Am I willing to wait as the seventy did in the upper room for the promise of God? Am I willing to wait until I am stranded on a deserted island, like John on Patmos?

Most of the time I am not. Most of the time I want my answer now. I want God to do it my way, not His way. I can lose hope real fast, and even stop praying, if I don’t get it when I think I should. I start to think God has forgotten me or given up on me.

But the Bible tells us a different story. The Bible tells us a story about a God who is always faithful, a God who fulfills our hope, A God who answers our prayers. The key is always in the wait. What are you waiting for today? Have faith in the faithful one!

Lamentations 3:22-26 King James Version (KJV)
22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

I Surrender All

Silently
I wait for thee
Patiently
Down on my knees
Praying to you
Fervently
Lord please hear my cry

Listening
To hear your voice
In you, Oh Lord
I now rejoice
As you speak
I make a choice
Lord I surrender all

All to thee Lord
All to thee
I surrender all
All to thee Lord
All to thee
I surrender alll
