The Son Has Arrived

The brilliance of dawn is on display
Nighttime is gone, the stars fade away
Along with the birds, I lift up my praise
For the sun has arrived today

Deep in my spirit a new day awakes
Joy in the morning relentless like waves
A smile overtakes the sleep on my face
For the Son has arrived today

I lift up my hands and I lift up my voice
All I can do is give thanks and rejoice
I'll give all my praise for the grace I enjoy
For the Son has arrived today

He never gives up on me, never looks back
On the sins in my life that were done in the past
Each day starts anew, His grace will outlast
For the Son had arrived today

Jesus, Savior of My Soul

I sing holy is the Lord
I sing worthy is the Lord
I sing righteous is the Lord
I sing Jesus is the Lord (2 Times)

He’s the mighty King of Kings
He’s the Lord of everything
Jesus, precious Lamb of God
Came to earth to shed His blood

He is high and lifted up
Seated on His throne above
Clothed in Royal majesty
Full of grace and mercy

Now I sing this song of praise
Lifting up His holy name
Jesus, savior of the world
Jesus, savior of my soul

I sing holy is the Lord
I sing worthy is the Lord
I sing righteous is the Lord
I sing Jesus is the Lord

Your Glory

What makes us different than all the other beasts
The bear and the squirrel, the otter and geese?
What is it that makes us humans unique?
It’s the glory.  The glory of the Lord.

What gives us the right to call on the Lord?
What helps us to follow His life-giving word?
What is it that leads us to eternal rewards?
It’s the glory.  The glory of the Lord

His glory is life giving, shining so bright.
His glory is healing. His glory gives light.
His glory shines through every darkness of night.
His glory extends to the highest height

What is it that draws us so close to Him?
What is it that settles His love deep within?
What is it that will bring our Lord back again?
It’s the glory.  The glory of the Lord

His glory brings peace in the midst of the storm.
His glory brings shelter and keeps our hearts warm
His glory will keep our soul joyful and calm
His glory will hold me safe in His arms

Thank you, Lord, for your glory today
‘It guides us and leads us and shows us the way
Your glory is what provides mercy and grace
Your glory is all that I need

Extraordinary Day

 It’s not ordinary at all
 What happened that day
 When heaven came down
 In a manger to lay

 Angels came singing
 To shepherds alone
 Kings came from far
 As the brightest star shone

 Mother and father
 Had traveled so far
 To find the inn full
 Underneath that star

 Bet both of them knew
 That this special day
 The Savior was born
 To take sin away

 Yet the kept quiet
 About their sons fate
 He didn’t come too soon
 And He was not late

 The time was just right
 And today we see
 That Jesus redeems
 Both you and me

 Let’s never forget
 That extraordinary day
 When heaven came down
 And in a manger lay

Music To My Ears

When I think about the fact
That He left His royal throne
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the fact
In a stable He was born
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the star
That led the wise men there
 And the great angelic choir
That the shepherds saw in fear
When I think about His love
To become a babe so dear
I can’t help but praise His name

Bless His name.  His mighty name
The name of Jesus is so sweet and so fair
Bless His name.  The matchless name
The name of Jesus is music to my ears

When I think about the fact
He bore the stripes for me
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the fact
That He died to set me free
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the pain
 That He endured for me
How He gave His life for all
 That day at Calvary
When I think about the grace
That He poured out for me
I can’t help but praise His name

Bless His name.  His mighty name
The name of Jesus is so sweet and so fair
Bless His name.  The matchless name
The name of Jesus is music to my ears

 I’ll sing His praise
 Every day
 With Loudest voice
 And hands up-raised
 I’ll lift Him high
 With all my might
 The wondrous name
 Of Jesus

Bless His name.  His mighty name
The name of Jesus is so sweet and so fair
Bless His name.  The matchless name
The name of Jesus is music to my ears

He Came Down

 Down from above
 Bringing His love
The Savior came on Christmas day
 Babe in the hay
 Quiet He lay
 While angels proclaimed His praise

 Shepherds rejoiced
 They heard Angels voice
To Bethlehem they made their way
 Bowing in honor
 Glory forever
To Jesus who came as a babe

He came down to save us
He came down to free us
 From sweet little babe
 To sacrifice made
He came down and gave us His grace

 I cannot imagine
 His love I can’t fathom
That He would give up His throne
 His birth was obscure
 His life was a blur
Only three years was this earth His home

 From lowly beginning
 To triumphant King
He had to give all he had
 His death on the cross
 Was such a great loss
But victory came in the end

He came down to save us
He came down to free us
 From sweet little babe
 To sacrifice made
He came down and gave us His grace

 Emmanuel
 God with us
 The form of a babe
 The Lord of Lords lay
 Ready to redeem us all

He came down to save us
He came down to free us
 From sweet little babe
 To sacrifice made
He came down and gave us His grace

This Heavenly Place

I’ve lived a little less than seventy years
Sometimes in joy and sometimes in tears
Sometimes I’ve cried and sometimes I’ve cheered
I’ve sure had my ups and downs

But all of those years are nothing at all
To the future I’ll have in heavens great halls
Where I’ll eternally answer that heavenly call
To bow down and worship the Lamb

I’ll join with the elders around His throne
And all of those numbered as one of His own
Who they all are I truly don’t know
In that day I will dance with them all

My mouth will I open my voice will I raise
In a thunderous ovation of heavenly praise
As I worship the mighty magnificent name
Of Jesus Christ my Lord

Jesus, my Jesus I love you so much
Jesus, my Jesus I’m glad that you touched me
Jesus, my Jesus I lift up my praise
To your magnificent name
I am with you today
In this heavenly place
What a Savior you are to me

I Had Been Good

I wandered aimlessly about
Not knowing I was wrong
Thinking all the while
That God would go along

He didn't mind my sin
He really understood
After all most of my life
I really had been good

Then i heard that Jesus
Was God's only true Son
I learned He died for me
So my sins would be gone

He took all my transgression
He nailed it to that cross
'Twas then I realized
What my sin truly cost

I asked Him to forgive me
To wash my sins away
I told Him I would make Him Lord
I'd serve Him every fay

Now I am bound for heaven
I pray that you are too
Make Jesus Christ your Lord today
His love will pardon you

Now Him I Know

I walked into the nursing home that day knowing very soon I would leave in tears
I was here to visit a dear old friend who was slowly losing his mind
And I was with his wife of over 50 years

As we walked into his room I saw his children there three boys and one lovely daughter
They were standing by his chair; the girl was sitting down,
And they were sharing in a little bit of laughter

He did not know those he’d known all his life
He did not know his children; he did not know his wife
As they tried to smile they were holding back the tears
They had faded from his mind throughout the years.

His wife walked up beside the bed and smiled and he returned a look of wonder and a sigh
She said “How are you today my dear.  I’ve missed you oh so much”
And she reached out and gave a gentle touch

The old man looked bewildered she was there.  He said “Do I know you?  Why do you care?”
As she held back the tears, she said “I am your wife,
And we’ve been together nearly all our lives”

He did not know those he’d known all his life
He did not know his children; he did not know his wife
As they tried to smile they were holding back the tears
They had faded from his mind throughout the years.

She turned to leave the room, but they looked back to her life’s love
And she uttered one more thing before she left the room
“Jesus Loves You, this I know” were the final words she said
And the old man’s eyes got big and he lifted up his head

“Now Him I know!  He’s the Savior of my soul!
I gave my life to him so many years ago.”
His wife came running up, and with a hug she kissed his cheek
She said “Soon you will see him, and you’ll walk on golden streets”

Yes, Him I know!  He’s the one who makes me whole
I will walk with Him in heaven, walk on streets of gold
And even though I don’t know much down here on earth below
Quite soon I’ll be in heaven because – Him I know!

Many of us know a lot of people.  We may know business owners who can help us figure out what product will best suit our needs.  We may know plumbers who can come in a fix a clogged drain or hook up a new sink.  We may know the mailman who faithfully delivers the mail every day.  We may know electricians, and pastors and politicians and many other people who can help us get through life.  We may have a bevy of friends who can come to our aid in times of trouble.  It’s good to know a lot of people!

But there is only one that  matters/  Knowing Jesus as my personal Savior is the only way to get to Heaven. He said He is the way and that no one goes to the Father except through Him.  We must know Jesus!  Do you know Jesus today.  If not, ask Him to forgive you of your sins.  Make Him Lord of your life today.  It is a decision you will never regret. I pray everyone who reads this knows Jesus!
