Your Choice

Riots in the street

Mass murderers multiplying

Corruption in politics

Moral values declining

Where is it all leading?

Church is not important

But party and getting high are

What was taboo is now protected

A pure life won’t get you far

Where is it all leading?

The end is now near

To me is quite obvious

There are many out there

Who are so oblivious

The bible is clear

When times like these come

Our Lord will appear

And take the saints home

Will you be among

Those taken away

Or will you be left out

With all those who stay?

In response to the daily prompt Obvious

Forever and Amen

I remember when I found the love of Jesus

He came and washed my sins away

And ever since that day

I have found a way

To give Him all the praise that I can give

His mercy covers me when I am falling

His grace is so amazing and so free

I took Him as my Lord

It’s Him who I adore

So let’s all lift our praise in one accord

Worthy is the Lord, worthy is the Lord

Worthy is the Lord our God

Faithful to the end

He’s our blessed friend

Worthy is the Lord our God

Holy is the Lord, Holy is the Lord

Holy is the Lord our God

His majesty supreme

So wonderful to me

Holy is the Lord our God

Each day I lift my praise to heaven

I just can’t worship Him enough

I’ll praise all may days

With all my words of praise

I’ll shout it from the mountaintop

Worthy is the Lord, worthy is the Lord

Worthy is the Lord our God

Faithful to the end

He’s our blessed friend

Worthy is the Lord our God

Jesus is the Lord, Jesus is the Lord

Jesus is He Lord our God

He’s our eternal friend

Forever and amen

Jesus is the Lord our God

All Our Days

In this life that just keeps turning

People want to keep on learning

Their hearts are always yearning

For the truth

As knowledge just keeps growing

We have some trouble knowing

When the truth is really showing

In the news

There is one truth that’s abiding

And it never will go hiding

God’s love is overriding

Of our ways

And if we will trust His mercy

That He sent to us at Calv’ry

We can live a life that’s set free

All our days

Tell Them

Today the Lord was calling in a voice so sweet and low

He said “Son, there’s something special that everyone should know.

It’s really not a secret.  It’s written in my book.

But there are way too many who never take a look.”

I asked the Lord how I could help to get to everyone

This world is so enormous.  I’d never get it done

He said “My child it’s simple, just start with that one there

And one by one you will surely make this world aware.

So I said “I’ll do it Lord, I’ll take your message out

I’ll speak it in the marketplace.  I’ll travel all about.

Just let me know the words that I should share today”

And then I heard His gentle voice say

“Tell them I love them with an everlasting love

Tell them I love them, and I want them here above

I sent my Son to take their place

They’re covered by my endless grace

Tell them I love them, and that should be enough”

I said “My Lord, I know it’s true that you have love for me

This world is very skeptical because of what they see

The violence and suff’ring seem to get worse every day

There’s many who blame you for this – then what should I say.”

“Tell them I love them with an everlasting love

Tell them I love them, and I want them here above

I sent my Son to take their place

They’re covered by my endless grace

Tell them I love them, and that should be enough”

And then He whispered in my ear that many just don’t know

Because we’ve turned our churches into places for a show

The truth that they must make the choice of heaven or of hell

Is something that few preachers are still willing to tell

He said “I need the laborers to get out in the field

The harvest is awaiting, and they need someone real

To tell them of this love I have for every single one

I’ve done all that I can do – I sent my only Son”

Okay, I got the message Lord, the gospel is enough

I’ll go out into all the world and tell them of your love

That Jesus died to take our sins and wash them all away

That message is more powerful than any words I say

I’ll tell them that you love them with an everlasting love

I’ll tell them that you love them, and you want them up above

You sent your Son to take their place

They’re covered by your endless grace

I’ll tell them that you love them, and that should be enough”

Age Does Not Matter

I used to think when I as young that fifty was real old

And now that I am old I think that fifty is quite young

And in that spam of time that’s gone between these years of mine

I’ve come to realize one simple truth

It matters not to God if you are young or if you’re old

In His blessed word we see His handiwork unfold

On people of all ages, from seven  to one hundred

A willing heart is all He needs to have

So open up your heart today and let the Savior in

Let God have His way with you and a journey will begin

He will take you places that you’ve never been before

Because age does not matter with God

Wondrous God

Can I get a witness for our God most high

Who set the world in motion from beyond the sky

He made this lovely planet just for you and I

Oh what a wondrous God we serve

Wonderful He is to me

Wondrous God we serve

Sent His Son to Calvary

His grace I don’t deserve

Now He watches over me

His blessings are reserved

I can’t worship Him enough

Wondrous God we serve

Can I get a witness for the Son who came

To die a beggar’s death to take my sin and shame

Then He rose to heaven.  He’s alive again

Oh what a wondrous God we serve

Marvelous He is to me

Wondrous God we serve

Mercy flowing wide and free

None that I deserve

His great love surrounds me

Even when I swerve

I can’t worship Him enough

Wondrous God we serve

Can I get a witness for the Holy Ghost

Who guides us every day if the Son we chose

He guides us to the truth, keeps us on our toes

Oh what a wondrous God we serve

I will lift His name on high

I’ll shout it out to all the sky

And share it with the passers-by

What a wondrous God

I’ll live for Him all of my days

And do my best to show His ways

To all who I may reach each day

What a wondrous God

Wonderful He is to me

Wondrous God we serve

Sent His Son to Calvary

His grace I don’t deserve

Now He watches over me

His blessings are reserved

I can’t worship Him enough

Wondrous God we serve

Life is Not a Game

We hear familiar music on the TV every day

Of a game show that so many love to play

People wager what they’ve won as they try to guess the clues

And every time they answer they’re in jeopordy to lose

It’s fun to play along on this trivial pursuit

In fact the board games really are a hoot

Simple fun can be a way to come together with your friends

And create a bond that opens up a door to let you in

So take advantage of those times when gathering together

And find out if their lives are jeopardized forever

Or if they have met Jesus and are now bound up for heaven

Please don’t let that moment pass you by.

Magnificent Mercy

I vowed to you Lord that I would obey
And promised to do everything you say
As I go through this life day after day
But then I slipped and fell

You came to me and lifted me up
You dusted me off and offered your cup
You said start again and never give up
Your forgiven all over again

Oh magnificent mercy
Coming from His precious love
Sweep over me like a river
Mercy that’s more than enough

I try day by day to be worthy
But I succumb to my frailties
Gossip or anger or what my eyes see
Drop me from pure to my knees

But you never speak condemnation
You offer me your consolation
And show me your endless compassion
As you take my hand once again

Oh magnificent mercy
Coming from His precious love
Sweep over me like a river
Mercy that’s more than enough

You always forgive when I stumble
You always forgive my mistakes
You’re always right there
To show me you care
And you’ll do whatever it takes

Oh magnificent mercy
Coming from His precious love
Sweep over me like a river
Mercy that’s more than enough

Youth Again

I have traveled down the road of life

For sixty four sweet years

They’ve been filled with many wonders

And also filled with tears

In my youth I was a rebel

Party life was what I sought

I just lived to please my flesh

My soul he devil bought

But then I met this Jesus

Who saved me from my sin

The party life was over

And a new life did begin

And even though it’s forty years

Since I accepted Him

I feel like I’m a youth again

There’s so much more to learn
