Jesus, You Are

Jesus, what a wonder

You put the stars in place

Separated earth and sky

Set the sun in space

Brought up food from fertile ground

Spoke and animals abound

Jesus, what a wonder you are

 

Jesus, your incredible

Came to earth a babe

Left your throne in glory

In a manger lay

Shepherds bowed in worship

Wise men brought great gifts

Jesus, how incredible you are

 

Jesus, your amazing

Ministered three years

Walked among the people

Joy flowed out in tears

Lowly men would hear Him

Learned men turned from Him

Jesus, how amazing you are

 

Jesus, you are mercy

Died upon the cross

Gave your life so freely

Paid such a big cost

Ransomed me from all my sin

Then you brought me peace within

Jesus, you are mercy to me

 

In all the ways of time and space

There’s no one who can take your place

I long to be in your embrace

Safe from any harm

 

So I will praise your mighty name

You ransomed me, Your name I’ll raise

For all the marvels you have made

Your worth is more than life

He Took and He Gave

When He died upon the cross that day
His love came down through time
He gathered all my sins away
And replaced them with His life
He took my unforgiveness
My bitterness and grief
And showed me what forgiveness really means
For I was undeserving
Of the mercy He gave me
Now I try to understand my brothers needs
He took my doubts and fears
Of who I really was
And showed me His great plan to change my life
For I was wandering aimless
Never touching anyone
Now I help the lost to change their lives
He took my insecurity
Of what the future holds
And showed me there’s a hope for all of time
For I was wasting all my time
On dead end pursuits
Now i can truly know that heaven will be mine
He took my lousy attitude
And the venom my mouth spewed
And showed me that His joy could overcome
For I was only happy
When things would go my way
Now this joy always reminds me He has won
He took away my anger
At all the hurts Ihad endured
And showed me that to love is so much more
For I was always lonely
And was closed off deep inside
Now I try to make myself an open door
The change He made in my life
Didn’t happen overnight
In fact He still has so much work to do
But one thing that I know
Is when I asked Him in my heart
My life became much better through and through

Homeward Bound

I’m waiting for the trumpet sound
When dead believers leave the ground
They rise to Him
Free of their sin
And will go with Him, homeward bound
Then those of us who still remain
And confess the Lord, Christ Jesus name
Will leave this earth
And rise with mirth
And join Him in the clouds that day
But all who do not know the Lord
Will stay here on this earth forlorn
The judgment day
Will soon take place
And they will weep, and cry and mourn
The book of Revelation comes
God’s wrath us poured out on everyone
Though some get saved
That will be spared
The rest will suffer pain unknown
And when the final battle ‘ s won
Christ’s victory will all be done
If we’re with Him
We also win
And heavens home for everyone
But those who lose this fateful day
Will with their last breath surely pay
The Lake of Fire
Is their last pyre
Hells’ torment is where they remain
You must tell those around you now
That Jesus soon is coming down
Please get them saved
So they’ll evade
The judgement coming in the clouds

God Covered It

God formed man from dust
Breathed life into him
And when he chose to disobey
God covered it
God asked Abram to obey
By giving his own Son
When God saw he’d follow through
God covered it
David had Uriah killed
Just to take His wife
When Nathan pointed out his sin
God covered it
Man has sinned throughout time
He prefers to disobey
But when his cry goes out to God
God covers it
Finally God saw that man
Would never get it right
So He set His plan in motion
A covering for all time
Because God So loved to world
He sent His only son
To die upon across
To cover all my wrong
So now when I do wrong
And disobey His law
I look up to that cross
And God covers it all

His Perfection

I used to try and do it all

Not wondering if wrong or right

But it wasn’t long before I’d fall

And get lost in the fight

 

I wanted to be perfect

To impress all of my friends

But I soon found the difference

To gain any respect

 

Because I can never be perfect

In this human flesh I have

The only chance at that aspect

Is to call on Jesus name

 

Because when He comes to live in me

His Spirit makes me whole

And His perfection dwells in me

Forever in my soul

The Celestial City

I can’t wait to get home to glory

Where my precious Jesus I’ll see

I;ll walk through those pearly gates

And onto the celestial sea

 

Golden streets will welcome my footsteps

Trees of healing will line the street

And I’ll sit at the feast He has made me

And then my Jesus I’ll meet

 

Oh what singing there ll be in that City

The Celestial City of God

All praises to Him will be lifted

I will stand before Him in awe

 

I urge you to make sure your ready

By making Jesus your Lord

And one day you’ll enter to heaven

The Celestial City of God

There are times in life when I get turned around

From the path the God has chosen just for me

But when I realize

The troubles that arise

There’s only one way that will set me free

 

Every time I turn around, there’s Jesus

He said if I’ll repent, He’ll forgive

So when I fall to sin

Or trouble deep within

I turned to Him and he will help me live

 

If my life has turned to pain or sickness

And I start to fear that this will be the way

If I turn to the cross

And see his precious blood

That blood will heal me every single day

 

If I find that fear and doubt has crossed my path

And I simply don’t believe I’ll ever win

I turn to read His word

The promise of my Lord

He fills with up with faith deep within

 

If I find myself in weakness or despair

And I feel like I just can’t go on

I turn my trust to Him

And he comes flowing in

And tells me He’s been with me all along

 

So if you find yourself

In trouble, and need help

I trust you now know what to do

Just simply turn around

And Jesus will be found

He will always see you through

What have you been building

All throughout your life?

Is it wealth and admiration

That you exchanged for strife?

Is it power and your passions

That does your soul ignite?

Or maybe its the things you do

To enjoy the party Life?

 

I was that way so long ago

I went after all those things

But  found them to be empty

They didn’t lead to anything

So I decided to tear down the old

And rebuild my life into one that sings

 

I build upon the Love of God

A foundation true and strong

I built upon His mercy

And His grace just came along

I built upon His sacrifice

His final ending sigh

I built my Life on Jesus Christ

The Building Block of Life

Rebuild

He Satisfies

From sun raise

To evening blaze

He satisfies

From night of dark

To morning lark

He satisfies

 

No time of day

Can slip His gaze

He satisfies

He always gives

What makes us live

He satisfies

 

The air I breath

The light need

He satisfies

The bird that sings

The rain in spring

He satisfies

 

The flowers bloom

The blessings loom

He satisfies

The food we eat

The grows at His feet

He satisfies

 

But more than all these things above

He satisfies us with His love

His peace and joy does fill my soul

He satisfies and makes me whole

 

His healing flows to every part

His deliverance is for my heart

His salvation, pure and free

He satisfies my ever plea

 

There’s nothing I can ever need

That my God doesn’t fill with glee

So I am here to testify

That my God always satisfies

Jesus is His mighty name
All the earth sings out His praise

Jesus who has set us free
