My Source

When I thirst I need a fountain

When I am sad I need more joy

When I’m in turmoil peace will comfort me

When I have doubts I turn to faith

When I seem lost I can’t lose hope

When I feel down, love is what I need

There are times my life gets dry and hard

I just wallow in the dust

It is in these times the living water flows

You’re my source for strength in battle

As you quench my thirsting soul

I can feel the Holy Spirit in me grow

When life brings situations

That bring sadness to my life

I can count on you for overwhelming joy

You’re my source for inspiration

When the burden gets to hard

I can count on you to make my spirit soar

In days of great confusion

When I don’t know where to turn

I know that your sweet peace will comfort me

You’re my source for calm assurance

That all things will turn out good

And I’ll rest in the abundance of your peace

There are times my doubts take over

And I wonder where to turn

Then I read your word and faith is lifted high

You’re my source for truth and wisdom

In the times I trust my flesh

You renew the faith that gives eternal life

In this world of greed and power

It is easy to get turned

From the hope you have instilled within my heart

You’re my source for all the future

I can know heaven’s my home

And forever my abode will not depart

Your love is so amazing

Your love is so divine

It sought me out when I was full of sin

You’re me source for loving others

The way that you loved me

Help me, Lord, to keep your love within

He Watches Over Me

He watches over me

Takes care of all my needs

I can depend on Him

He’s always at my side

When in Him I abide

His love will always win

When the storms of life do gather

And the wind and waves seem tall

I can trust in Him to never let me fall

And when I need a fortress

‘Cause the battle is too hard

He becomes my refuge from it all

When all my friends desert me

Because I live according to His word

I know that He’s a friend who’ll stand by me

And when it seems I’m all alone

He’ll come and let me know

He’s right there with His arms upholding me

When my body lets me down

And pain of sickness has set in

I know He is my healer and my strength

It’s now that I must trust Him most

To heal me in His time

The stripes upon His back provided health

No matter what the circumstance

Or what my life will bring

Each day I need to rise from sleep and sing

His praises should adorn my lips

And worship guide my tongue

As I give Him thanks for everything

I thank you Lord, you’re watching over me

I thank you Lord, you won’t abandon me

I lift my highest praise

To you my hands are raised

I think you Lord for saving me.

The Requirement

What does the Lord require of me?

How can I know His will for me?

What does He ask that I should see?

Lord, help me know your plan

First we must do the things that are just

So that others will know we are men of trust

For our principles we will not adjust

Just to win one more friend or two.

Then we show mercy to all we meet

For Jesus showed mercy to us in our need

We must pass on His mercy to all that we greet

To be what He wants us to be

And last but not least, the most difficult part

We must walk with a humble and lowly heart

Putting others before self in all regards

So His light will shine through me

These words are not new, but from ages past

The old prophet Amos did speak them first

And for these three things we all should thirst.

As this is the will of God for me.

I pray you will heed these words this day

Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly I pray

For these are the words that the prophet did say

Are requirements of our God.

Heal Our Land

I sit amidst the chaos

Of a lost and dying world

And I wonder when they’ll come to realize

That the softening of morals

And the sin they now condone

Is truly a reproach in God’s eyes

But I also wonder when the church

Will rise up and start to pray

That this world will turn away from all their sin

For it is our duty and our task

To know what the Bible says

And to pray from very deep down within

I must first humble myself

And know that I am no better

We are all the same in the sight of God

And if I lift my neighbor
As I would like to be lifted

My prayers will soon be heard in heaven above

And once I humble myself I pray

For the lost soul deep within

Everyone who has followed the devils’ lies

I do not judge nor condemn

But pray the light will shine through

And open the sinner’s eyes

Then I seek God’s grace

To know how to pray

For the Holy Spirit will give me the words

I must go to Him

To pray righteously

And not have my own thoughts be heard

And last but not least

I put my sin aside

If God is to answer my prayer

For If I regard

Sin in my heart

The Lord will not hear what I say

After all this

His promise is true

He says He’ll forgive our sin

And then, only then

Will our country revive

For He says He will heal our land

Lift Him Up

I sing Holy is the Lord

Holy is the Lord

Seated on the throne in heaven

Holy is the Lord

Holy is the Lord

High and lifted up

He is Holy

I sing worthy is the Lord

Worthy is the Lord

Savior and Messiah to the nations

Worthy is the Lord

Worthy is the Lord

King of Kings forever

He is worthy

I lift my voice

In highest praise

To Jesus Christ

And His sweet name

Emmanuel

He’s God with us

I’ll lift Him up

I’ll lift Him up.

I sing precious is the Lord

Precious is the Lord

Gave His life for mine because He loves me

Precious is the Lord

Precious is the Lord

Highest sacrifice

He is precious

I lift my voice

In highest praise

To Jesus Christ

And His sweet name

Emmanuel

He’s God with us

I’ll lift Him up

I’ll lift Him up.

Jesus, You Are

Jesus, what a wonder

You put the stars in place

Separated earth and sky

Set the sun in space

Brought up food from fertile ground

Spoke and animals abound

Jesus, what a wonder you are

Jesus, your incredible

Came to earth a babe

Left your throne in glory

In a manger lay

Shepherds bowed in worship

Wise men brought great gifts

Jesus, how incredible you are

Jesus, your amazing

Ministered three years

Walked among the people

Joy flowed out in tears

Lowly men would hear Him

Learned men turned from Him

Jesus, how amazing you are

Jesus, you are mercy

Died upon the cross

Gave your life so freely

Paid such a big cost

Ransomed me from all my sin

Then you brought me peace within

Jesus, you are mercy to me

In all the ways of time and space

There’s no one who can take your place

I long to be in your embrace

Safe from any harm

So I will praise your mighty name

You ransomed me, Your name I’ll raise

For all the marvels you have made

Your worth is more than life

Surrounded

You surround me with your peace, Oh Lord

I am resting in your arms, I’m yours

All my worries gone away

I am calm throughout the day

Since your peace is nestled in my heart

You surround me with your joy, Oh Lord

I can face the trials that reach my door

Nothing causes me dismay

As I trust in you each day

Since your joy is nestled in my soul

You surround me with your hope, oh Lord

My future is secure, this I know

While the world is running wild

I remain both calm and mild

Since your hope is nestled way below

You surround me with your victory Lord

The enemy’s defeated by your word

All I have to do is speak

And the enemy retreats

Since your victory is mine for sure

You surround me with your love, Of Lord

I will seek you as it’s you I adore

My I never cease to praise

Your wonderful, sweet name

Since your love is mine and so much more.

More of Him

This world goes after power

Fame and fortune is their goal

They often buy things they cannot afford

And in the end they’re empty

None of these can satisfy

The emptiness that lives within their soul

I have found that living

In this world is quite a test

Day to day the choices are a chore

But this one thing I realize

Can settle my heart down

All I need is more of my Lord

More of Him in the morning

Before the breaking dawn

When darkness rules the skies in all the land

The silence is so quiet

I can listen for His voice

I can hear Him whisper all of His sweet plans

More of Him at daybreak

When morning gilds the skies

Golden beauty lines the clouds above

The sun peeks out in splendor

Reminding everyone

That this day will be filled with God’s love

More of Him in the daytime

As I work to earn my way

He guides me step by step in my pursuits

I honor Him and praise Him

From the bottom of my heart

He keeps reminding me of His great truths

More of Him at sunset

When day is growing short

He paints His awesome clouds so brilliantly

I want Him to draw closer

As the light fades into dark

The picture in the clouds goes quietly

More of Him at nighttime

When I lay my head to rest

His spirit holds my heart so tenderly

Every day I’ve spend with Him

The more I come to know

That more of Him is all I really need

You’re Welcome

There are so many times

I say Thank You Lord

For the wonderful things you have done

But oft I’m so busy

Giving Him thanks

That I don’t listen to His response

I think, if I’d listen

To hear His soft voice

The words He would say would be clear

He would once again

Tell me of His great love

As He whispers these words in my ear

Your welcome to my peace

More peace then you’ve ever known

I’ll shower it on you each day

So you’ll never feel alone

Your welcome to my joy

That bubbles up from deep within

Though trials may come in your life

My joy will help you to win

Your welcome to my healing

For sickness and heartache and pain

You no longer have to suffer

My healing will touch you again

Your welcome to my mercy

I extend it to you each day

I paid the punishment for your sin

So you can be free from your shame

Your welcome to my grace

I desire to bless you so much

By faith take the gifts that I give you

Allow me your life to touch

I feel He would go on and on

Welcoming me to His love

The list of His blessings is endless

He showers them down from above

So the next time I thank Him, I’ll listen

To see if these words He will say

And then I will take time to praise Him

Day after day after day

So Much More

What can I bring as an offering
To Jesus, who gave His all?
What is the proper expression
That would not be considered too small?
How can I even begin to show
The depth of my grateful heart?
There’s only one way I can think of
That’s to give Him my praise from the start.
I’ll open my lips and sing
The praises of Christ the King
He’s given me everything
And so much more
I’ll lift up my hands to His throne
Adoring the love He has shown
He made me His very own
And so much more
I’ll lift up my eyes to His face
His beauty I will embrace
He keeps me safe in this place
And so much more
One thing above all I must bring
My life as an offering
I must give Him everything
And so much more
