The Pharisees knew the law
And they all looked good
Dressed in holy garb
Prayer fully they stood
But Jesus looked inside of them
Beneath the pure facade
And saw the tomb that was inside
And told them it must fade
I was once a Pharisee
Everyone thought I had it good
But inside my mind and heart
I was full of bad, not good
But Jesus loved me so much
He came and rescued me
Cleaned me up and set me straight
Now I am a brand new me!

There are times when I can hear Him
Whisper softly in my ear
And I listen so intently
Yes, my Lord, I am here
There are times when I can feel Him
Reaching out to touch my pain
Warmth flows through His hand of mercy
And my hurt will not remain
There are times when I can sense His
Holy Spirit by my side
He’s protecting me from danger
As His presence there abides
There are times I see His power
Working miracles for me
With amazing grace providing
All that I will ever need
There are times His peace comes flowing
Like a river over me
It is always overwhelming
To be covered by His peace
There are times joy comes in bubbling
Like a fountain in my soul
Even when my heart grows weary
In His joy I can be whole
There are times His love surrounds me
With a presence oh so sweet
And I know that I must share it
With each person that I meet
His love is the life blood
That fills up my veins
It is through this great love
That His fruit remains
His joy overwhelms me
It’s unspeakable
My heart bubbles up
Like an overflowed well
His peace calms my thoughts
And drives out my fear
It passes my knowledge
And dries every tear
The patience He gives me
Through trials and tests
Helps me to witness
To all of the rest
The gentleness He gives
Softens my speech
It helps me to reach more
When others I teach
The goodness He puts in
My oft evil heart
Helps me touch others
Who may have it hard
The faith that He grows
By His marvelous word
Gives me the courage
To stand and be heard
His meekness brings awe
And humility
It beats down my pride
And helps me to see
And finally temperance
Keeps me in line
So I don’t indulge
Too much at a time
The fruit of the spirit
I love them so dear
They keep me in line
As I travel this earth
Are you finished telling me that you don’t want to hear
About the love of Jesus, the friend I love so dear?
How He died to take your place so that you won;t have to fear
Where you will up up for eternity?
Well, I’m sorry, but I really have to ignore your request
Because i am unfinished in showing how your blessed
So I will keep on planting seeds whenever I assess
That you need Jesus just as much as me
He died for you, and took your sin
He provided peace and joy within
And one day you can enter in
To heaven’s wondrous doors
So won’t you come to him today
And He will wipe your sin away
He’ll brighten up your darkest day
With His wondrous love

My God is mercy
More than enough
To wipe away all of my sin
He gave His own Son
To die in my place
So I could have peace deep within
My God is grace
Amazing and True
He places His Spirit in me
Each day He guides me
Into His truth
As I grow to what I’m made to be
He’s more than enough
More than enough
More than enough for me
And when I lay down
To sleep, I have found
His peace washes over me
My God is love
Compassion abounds
He loved me before I knew Him
And each day he sends
This wonderful love
Into my heart once again
My God is holy
Purer than gold
His holiness Is what I yearn
He calls me to be
As holy as He
He is patient and kind as I learn
He’s more than enough
More than enough
More than enough for me
And when I lay down
To sleep, I have found
His peace washes over me
My God is faithful
Day after day
He’s always right there by my side
When I call on Him
He hears every word
And answers when it’s His time
All of these things
My God is to me
He says that’s how I ought to be
I must spread the word
Of my wonderful God
To all that He brings close to me
I long to be broken before my God
Poured out and empty inside
Because when I have lost all of myself
His spirit will transform my life
I long to be humbled by His patient hand
To lose all myself and my pride
Because when I have lost all me selfishness
His spirit will transform my life
I long to be lost
Lost to myself
Lost in His love divine
For when I am weak
He makes me strong
And I grow in Him every time.
I long to be led ever day just by Him
Not by my own selfish pride
Because when I yield up my will to His
His spirt will transform my life
He’ll carry me through every trial
He’ll lead me through every hard test
And then, in the end, I will know
He has always done what is best
I long to be lost
Lost to myself
Lost in His love divine
For when I am weak
He makes me strong
And I grow in Him every time.
I see a lot of people
Who panic at the news
That fills our ears and eyes most every day
It seems the world’s in chaos
And nothing comes out right
Killings, bombings, protests are the way
But I know a secret
To rid myself of fear
And every time it works just like a charm
I simply trust in Jesus
And He fills me with peace
He says He’ll always hold me inHis arms
So when you’re feeling panicked
And your trouble way to much
Why not turn to Jesus Christ for peace
He always is the answer
And He will never fail
To calm your soul and fear will be released

This one thing I know
Is that God always bestows
His gifts to all of those
Who love His son
The list s oh so long
Of gifts that now belong
To those who now belong
To Jesus Christ, God’s son
His love and His forgiveness
His joy and His sweet peace
His mercy and His grace
His hope and healing too
His deliverance and love
His Spirit and Eternal Life
The list goes on and on
Because He’s generous to us
He gives more than enough
To show us His strong love
He’ll always be right there
To hear my every prayer

For the Lord is coming
Riding on the clouds to take His children home

The day is fast approaching
Don’t be left behind and all alone
I love the way He loves me
And fills me with His joy
It keeps me singing every single day
I love the peace He gives me
Way down deep inside
It fills my heart with calm along the way
He gives me hope that lasts
Through the good times and the bad
I can depend that He will care for me
And then He grows my faith
For He always guides my life
Through every single trial that I see
He’s always right there with me
And He hears my every prayer
I know He’ll answer when the time is right
He also has a plan for me
A plan that’s good for me
So II can always know the future’s bright
But nothing will compare
To the day that He arrives
It will come in the twinkling of an eye
And those who have accepted
His loving sacrifice
Wil join Him as they rise up to the sky

A mountain of sin encompassed me
And I had no way out
Then I heard about Jesus
And His love for me
And His sacrifice to take away

From doubt to faith
From worry to hope
From guilty to forgiven
From Hell to Heaven
Crossing over was easy
