Crossing Over

I was drowning

A mountain of sin  encompassed me

And I had no way out

Then I heard about Jesus

And His love for me

And His sacrifice to take away

my sin

And I took the jump

From sinner to saint

From sorrow to joy

From turmoil to peace

From doubt to faith

From worry to hope

From guilty to forgiven

From Hell to Heaven

Crossing over was easy

Won’t you take the jump?

I’ve already taken that jump, too. Thanks for this poem. I daily pray for and often speak to individuals about taking the jump. I told one man, who is the owner of the corner store near our church, (I’ve been talking to him off and on for more than 5 years), I told him, “Look, I’m not going to Heaven without you.” I pray often that he will take that jump, too. Have a wonderful day.
