The Angels Song

Quiet night. Stars shine bright
Giving light to all below
Shepherds watching. Sheep all grazing
All not knowing what’s in store

Suddenly, from the heavens
Angel saying fear thou not
Unto you today is born
A Savior, Christ the Lord

Then angelic host starts singing
Glory to God in highest heaven
Still proclaiming peace on earth
Goodwill to man. Go see the child

They went to see Him in the manger
Quiet babe among these strangers
Knelt to worship, Saw no danger
Praising Christ, the Lord

Glory to God, The Angels sang
Great is the Lord our God
Peace on earth, good will to all
Is the Angels song above

When we bow down to Christ the Lord’
For the first time the Angel chorus
Sings out a song in joyful glee
That one more has entered heaven

Will that be you this Christmas day?
Will you ask Christ to be your way?
Will you invite Him in to stay?
Accept His gift today
And then angels will sing again

Glory to God, The Angels sang
Great is the Lord our God
Peace on earth, good will to all
Is the Angels song above

What A Mystery

What if I had a million stars to put in place?
What if I knew them all and called them all by name?
I’d pick a special one to put up in the sky
Over the place where soon the Savior would arrive

What if the angels came to me with wondrous praise?
What if they asked me who should hear the news they gave?
I’d pick the ones who would be humble and obey
Shepherds out in the field who kept watch every day

CHORUS
Oh, what a mystery. Oh, what great love
The Son of God left His throne above
Oh, what compassion on sinners like me
He left His royal throne to die for me

What if the shepherds brough their flocks to see the King?
What if three wise men travelled far their gifts to bring?
There in a manger lay the Savior of the world
Today He’s just a babe but He’ll be Lord of Lords

CHORUS

BRIDGE
What if He had not come? I’d still be lost.
No hope to look for, all peace is gone
Joy would be sorrow, True love unknown
If Jesus had not come this Christmas morn

CHORUS

What A very Special Night

What a night, what a night, what a very special night
See the star in the sky shining oh so bright
See the shepherds watching their flocks
See the wise men follow the star
Knowing not what’s to come this very special night

Mary and Joseph travelled oh so many miles
They awaited the birth of their first child
Looking for a room at the inn
There was no room for them within
A stable would be there room for the night

The shepherds were startled by an Angelic light
Do not be afraid echoed through the night
I bring good tidings of Joy
Peace on earth for girls and boys
And a host of Angels Loud Hosannas sing

What a night, what a night, what a very special night
See the star in the sky shining oh so bright
See the shepherds watching their flocks
See the wise men follow the star
Knowing not what’s to come this very special night

They came with their flocks to find that babe
Wrapped in some clothes and laid in the hay
They knelt down to worship Him
 Assured He’s the coming King
Then for a while they would worship and stay

Mary and Joseph knew their child was special
They’d both been told of His coming arrival
 But they held their peace
 When the shepherds did speak
And asked why they were summoned by angels

What a night, what a night, what a very special night
See the star in the sky shining oh so bright
See the shepherds watching their flocks
See the wise men follow the star
Knowing not what’s to come this very special night

The wise men arrived from the east they had come
They knew that the star was a sign from above
 Their gifts they did bear
 Gold, incense and myrrh
They knelt down to worship this child filled with love

 Thus, the scene was set
 No one would forget
That the Son of God came as a babe
 And for many years
 Mary shed her tears
For she knew what a price he would pay

What a night, what a night, what a very special night
See the star in the sky shining oh so bright
See the shepherds watching their flocks
See the wise men follow the star
Knowing not what’s to come this very special night

Bethlehem

What yonder star is shining bright
What wonder in this dazzling light
That splits the sky and stills the night
 The star of Bethlehem

It shines down on a manger’s hay
Where just a small newborn does lay
His  mother and his father pray
 This night in Bethlehem

An angel comes to fields afar
He tells the shepherds of the star
The leave their flocks and travel far
 To little Bethlehem

This world will never be the same
Since the night this baby came
 The call Emmanuel His name
 This day in Bethlehem

And he will reign o’er all the earth
For all creation knows His worth
We all rejoice to praise His birth
 Way off in Bethlehem

So lift you’re voices high this day
Give Jesus Christ all of your praise
He came down this world to save
 To chosen Bethlehem

Glory to God

In the quiet of night they waited
For the breaking of the day
The long night was cold and lonely
As they tended the sheep in their care

The stars were brilliant above them
A cloudless sky gave them a view
The campfire was warming their bodies
As the mist settled down as a dew

Then suddenly up in the heavens
A bright light appeared to their sight
And the form of an angel was seen next
The shepherds leaned back in their fright

Glory to God, glory to God
Glory to God in the Highest
Peace and good will, peace and good will
Peace and good will to man

“Do not be afraid” said the angel
“I come to bring news of good cheer”
For a child is born in a manger.
Bringing great joy to all who will hear”

You will find the babe laid in a manger
With swaddling clothes keeping him warm
Go to Bethlehem and greet the Savior
Who will be the Lord of this world”

And suddenly great light was shining
A great heavenly host filled the air
Singing “Glory to God in the highest
Peace on earth and good will to man”

Glory to God, glory to God
Glory to God in the Highest
Peace and good will, peace and good will
Peace and good will to man

The Good News

Have you heard the news?  It came out today.
How a child was born and in a manger lay.
Have you seen the star shining oh so bright?
Right above our heads, making day of night.
How can all this be?  What can these things mean?
Is it coincidence or a miracle we see?

 Where is this little child?
I hear he’s meek and mild.
I hear he’s come to save the world.
How can a baby boy bring all the earth such joy?
Is he the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

Shepherds keep their watch In a quiet field
When a host of angels in the sky appear
They sing highest praise, saying do not fear.
A child is born this day – he’s in a manger near
How can all this be?  What can these things mean?
Is it a vision, or have we just dreamed a dream?

 Where is this newborn babe?
 The angels told the way.
They said he’s come to bring us peace
How can a baby boy bring all the earth such joy.
Is he the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

Mary lifts her head.  Joseph lifts his arms.
The sing praise to God for the wondrous thing he’s done
Shepherds join in song.  Wise men sing along.
Hosanna to God’s precious Holy Son

He is the King of Kings.  He is the Lord of Lords.    Sing Emanuel to the Lord
He is the King of Kings.  He is the Lord of Lords.    Sing Emanuel to the Lord
Sing Emanuel to the Lord.  Sing Emanuel to the Lord.  Sing Emanuel to the Lord

Glory to God in the Highest

I see the star, brightly shining, in the calm and dark of night
I see the shepherds, as they’re warming, by a fire with dimming light
I see the sheep, gently gazing, in the shepherds watchful sight
I see a scene, oh how serene, on this holiest of nights

Suddenly the sky is parted by an angel glorious
Singing praise and peace on earth, sounding quite victorious
Fear thou not, the Savior comes, in a manger in a hush
Then an multitude arrives as shepherds watch the chorus

Glory to God. Glory to God
Glory to God in the highest
Peace on earth good will to men
Glory to God in the highest

Shepherds leave their flocks by night to find the lowly manger
They arrive and see the babe. They do not feel like strangers
They bow before the child and sing the song the angels gave them
The highest praise to Christ the King as he lay in the manger

Glory to God.  Glory to God
Glory to God in the highest
Peace on earth.  Good will to men
Glory to God in the highest

The highest praise to Christ the King
 The shepherds pledge Him everything
They leave and tell the world they’ve seen
 The Savior of the world

Glory to God.  Glory to God
Glory to God in the highest
Peace on earth.  Good will to men
Glory to God in the highest

The Gifts of Christmas

I see them buying Christmas gifts everywhere I go
They’ll wrap them all real nicely and tie them with a bow
Underneath the Christmas tree they’ll make the children smile
What a chance to share the love of Jesus with a little child

He was born in a manger so many years ago
Shepherds called by angels came to Him, bowing low
Three kings came there to greet Him by following a star
They brought gifts of great significance from afar

One brought gold that shone like the noonday sun
This gift was meant to show He was a king, a chosen one
The riches He possessed were greater than that gold
His victory on the cross is there for all to behold

The second brought some myrrh, a gift of somber tone
The anointing of the dead was how this gift was known
It signified that He would die to take our sins away
The fragrance of His sacrifice is still alive today

The third gift was a vial of frankincense, oh so sweet
It was used in the anointing oil of all the priests
It signified that Jesus was a priest above them all
And that our life would do well to answer to His call

So this year when those gifts are underneath the tree
See it as a moment of golden opportunity
To tell the world of Jesus and how He is enough
He came, He lived, He died to show us His great love

He Came Down

 Down from above
 Bringing His love
The Savior came on Christmas day
 Babe in the hay
 Quiet He lay
 While angels proclaimed His praise

 Shepherds rejoiced
 They heard Angels voice
To Bethlehem they made their way
 Bowing in honor
 Glory forever
To Jesus who came as a babe

He came down to save us
He came down to free us
 From sweet little babe
 To sacrifice made
He came down and gave us His grace

 I cannot imagine
 His love I can’t fathom
That He would give up His throne
 His birth was obscure
 His life was a blur
Only three years was this earth His home

 From lowly beginning
 To triumphant King
He had to give all he had
 His death on the cross
 Was such a great loss
But victory came in the end

He came down to save us
He came down to free us
 From sweet little babe
 To sacrifice made
He came down and gave us His grace

 Emmanuel
 God with us
 The form of a babe
 The Lord of Lords lay
 Ready to redeem us all

He came down to save us
He came down to free us
 From sweet little babe
 To sacrifice made
He came down and gave us His grace

A Little Hole In Heaven

 A little hole in heaven
 Opened up that Christmas day
 When Jesus Son of God
Came to earth as a little babe

When He left His throne above
 He traveled through that hole
 A host of angels followed
 And one His story told

He told it to some shepherds
Out in the field that night
 They trembled at the Angel
For he shone with heavenly light

He told them that a Savior
 Was born in Bethlehem
 The full angelic choir sang
The shepherds went to greet Him

That hole let out the brilliant light
 That surged from Jesus throne
It looked as if a giant star
 Above the manger shone

Three kings from far off countries
Saw the brilliant star so bright
They set off on a journey
With gifts for the promised child

Yes a little hole in heaven
 Opened up that Christmas night
 Through it came our Savior
Coming down to give us Light

He shone the Light from heaven
So that we could see our sin
Then He died as our redeemer
If our hearts would now repent

Open up your heart to Jesus
 On this blessed Christmas day
He came down from heaven’s glory
So He could light your way
