A Resting Place

I stand here thinking if my life 
And all the things I do
I realize that I'd be lost
If I did not have you

I was a soul just wandering 
Through darkness and disgrace 
Then one day I saw the light
When I came to know your grace

No more do I wander
No more do I roam
I have found a resting place
In you and you alone

What a blessed hope I have
What joy now fills my soul
A peace that calms down all my fears
Your love has made me whole

Our Deepest Need

I was determined that my prayers would reach to heaven
I waited patiently to have the answer come
Then in the stirring of my heart I felt assurance
As the peace of God came rushing like a flood 

In that moment no more worry was within me
I know that Jesus had received my heartfelt plea
I lifted up my eyes to see the heavens open
As the Holy Spirit came to rest on me

What a joy then filled my heart to overflowing 
I felt a laugh deep down within my seeking soul
My mouth flew open and the laughter came in torrents 
My heart had found a place where I could just let go

I didn't care if those around me heard my laughter 
I didn't even recognize that they were there
And it was then I realized the blessed freedom
That could only come from Jesus loving hand

Then I remembered this all started in my prayer life 
I'd been seeking things I thought I truly need
But as it turned out all those things were not the answer 
Jesus brought an answer deeper than my plea

Now I share with you this heartfelt lesson
Always remember Jesus knows our deepest need
And if the answer to our prayer seems long forgotten 
There is something more He's given us indeed

Can you hear me?
I am calling you
In my still small voice 
Will you hear the words 
I long for you to hear

Can you hear me?
I am calling you
To perform my words 
Will you do the things 
I ask you to do

Heal the sick 
Set the captives free
Make the lame to walk
In my name all is possible 
If you just believe

Open blinded eyes 
Make the deaf to hear
Raise the dead to life
Greater things will you do 
In my name

For I have given you
Power over all
Your enemies
Take authority
And hear the will of God

I want you to pray
All throughout your day
When I ask you to
Do not be afraid
For I will be with you

Can you hear me
Calling out to you
In my still small voice?
You can do all things
In Jesus name!

None More Glorified

From the heavens above I can hear the sound
Holy is the Lord
From the earth below all creation groans
Holy is the Lord
The stars in the sky proclaim Hi name
Holy is the Lord
The beasts and birds sing His praise
Holy is the Lord

There is none more Holy
None more righteous
None more magnified
There is none more worthy
None more honored
None more glorified

So I sing holy, holy, holy is the Lord

Are You Alive?

Are you alive?
Is blood flowing through your veins?
Is your heart beating?
Are you breathing?
Then praise the Lord!
That is all that matters
No trial should keep us from praising Him
No test,
No sickness
No injury
No heartache
No setback
No hurt
Nothing should keep us from Praising Him
Not because He blesses me,
Not because He saved me
Not because He delivers me
Not because He heals me
Not because He guides me
But just because He is!
Let everything that hath breath
Praise the Lord!

I Come

I come to seek your mercy, Lord
I know it’s there for me
You displayed it mightily
When you died upon that

I come to seek your healing, Lord
I know it’s been fulfilled
You took care of al disease
When your blood you freely spilled

I come to seek deliverance, lord
I know you set me free
The crown upon your head declared
That you’ve become my peace

I come to seek forgiveness, lord
I know you made a way
When you spoke those words upon the cross
They still are true today

I come to seek your grace, Oh Lord
I know you give it all 
The blessings you pour out on me
Are more than I recall

I come to give you praise, Oh Lord
For all you’ve done for me
You died and rose again to give me
Life Eternally

AT the Mighty Name of Jesus

At the mighty name of Jesus 
Demons have to flea
Sickness goes on holiday
And words will calm the sea
At the mighty name of Jesus
Death is swallowed up
Mountains have to run away
And wounds will all dry up

At the mighty name of Jesus
Faith is now released 
Joy unspeakable is found    
And trouble turns to peace

At the mighty name of Jesus
Water turns to wine
Sins are washed away for hood
And victory is mine 
So I will shout His name out loud
For all the world to hear
Jesus Christ has saved my soul 
My heart is filled with cheer

His name is Wonderful Counselor 
His name is Prince of Peace
His name is Lion of Judah
Emmanuel we seek

His name is Everlasting Couselor
His name is Son Of God
His name is Alpha, Omega
Messiah, Lamb of God

But most of all is one name 
I lift above all others
The name of Jesus,  oh so sweet
My friend, my loving brother
Jesus,  oh Jesus 
How I love that name 
Jesus,  dearest Jesus 
It's you I'll always praise.

Greatness out of This Great Mess

This was written back in 2017 when I was still undergoing Chemo treatments. I never did get it posted on this site

Riddled with cancer
Shoulder just quits
Neuropathy covers my feet
Two stem cell transplants
Weakness ensues
God will make some greatness out of this great mess

Jesus the master healer 
He supplies all the strength that I need
I fill all my days
With words of His praise
As His healing starts working in me

First I walked with a walker
A cane followed closely behind
I walked just a block at a time
But my drive just kept up
With my faith in my Lord
Now a mile a day isn't long

My shoulder would not move at all
The doctors could not understand
They said maybe never would heal
Movement came in ten months 
Therapy started at once
Now full range of motion is here

Jesus the master healer 
He supplies all the strength that I need
I fill all my days
With words of His praise
As His healing starts working in me

God will make some greatness
Out of this great mess
Cancer is no longer found
I'm healed from above
With doctors involved
In the therapy of Jesus love

Awe And Wonder

I sit here in awe and wonder
At our God who reigns above
I can't comprehend why He rescued me
Then showered me with His love

He made all the stars in heaven
One by one He calls them by name
Yet He still finds the time to hear my prayer
When I lift up my voice with praise 

He parted the sea by His power
Fed manna and quail from on high
Still, He cares for me every day I live
And he never passes my by

He brought down the walls with a shout
And He stilled the wind and the waves
In the midst of my storms, He brings comfort
With my hand in His I am brave

From the cross He forgave my transgressions
With His blood wiped away all my sin
So, I sit here in away and wonder today
At the grace I receive from Him
