Worthy is the Lamb

Almighty, most holy

Majestic He reigns

Eternal Creator

He’s always the same

My refuge, my fortress

In Him I am safe

My comfort, my Savior

I lift up my praise

Worthy are you, Worthy are you

Lamb upon the throne

Worthy are you, worthy are you

You called me as your own

I’ll lift my voice and sing praise all my days

Worthy is the Lamb

My healer, deliverer

Hope for the lost

Provider, supplier

You always love us

Peacemaker, Joy giver

Fills my heart each day

My guide and my comforter

Shows me the way

Worthy are you, Worthy are you

Lamb upon the throne

Worthy are you, worthy are you

You called me as your own

I’ll lift my voice and sing praise all my days

Worthy is the Lamb

Wonderful Counselor

God only wise

Father forever

You transform our lives

Magnificent splendor

The ancient if days

My rock, my defender

You’re with me always

My voice will arise from the depths of my heart

And lift up your praises to heaven

In word and in song I will worship your name

For you are my Savior forever

Worthy are you, Worthy are you

Lamb upon the throne

Worthy are you, worthy are you

You called me as your own

I’ll lift my voice and sing praise all my days

Worthy is the Lamb

In One Piece

My life was out of control

Sin abounded

Trouble lurked on every side

Emotions were fragile

Mind wandered endlessly

I felt as if I was falling apart

Piece by piece

But then

A friend

Introduced me to

His friend

Whose name us Jesus

He rook all my broken pieces

Put them together in His love

And now I feel whole again

One piece

I have peace

In Jesus

In response to the daily prompt Fragile

No Fairy Tale

Once upon a time I was a sinner
Caught up in a world of shame
I didn’t have much hope
And I really couldn’t cope
With the fact that I just could not change

Then I heard about a man named Jesus
They said He was the only Son of God
Because of His great love
He came down from above
And sacrificed His life upon a cross

They told me if I’d just accept His mercy
And ask Him to come in my heart
He’d wipe away my sin
And give me peace within
And I would have a brand new start

I cried out and I asked Him to forgive me
And told Him I would make Him Lord
And now I have new life
‘Cause Jesus made things right
I’ll live hap’ly ever after evermore

Precious Gifts

When I came to Jesus and asked Him to save

I knew I had little to give

He took what I had, and washed it away

And gave in return precious gifts

I gave Him my sorrows for all of the things

That I never seem to do right

He gave me His joy, unspeakable joy

Oh what a sheer delight

I gave Him my troubles, and many they were

They compass me every day

He gave me His peace, a peace so complete

Too wonderful to explain

I gave Him my doubts, and the fears in my life

They buried me in deep despair

He gave me His faith, so that mountains would move

If I’d call to Him in prayer

I gave Him my hurts, my aches and my pains

It seems they’re new every day

He gave me His healing, complete and secure

He heals me in every way

I gave Him my thoughts that the future was bleak

That nothing was there in the end

He gave me His hope, eternally sure

Now I know I will see Him again

I gave Him my life and my heart and my soul

It seemed I had messed them all up

He gave me salvation, and new life began

I’m free from all that can corrupt

These precious gifts, and so many more,

His mercy and grace has supplied

I just go to Him, and lay them all down

And He gives to me a new lfe.

Unperplexed

Perplexed is a word that we often use

When seeing the plight of this world

There seems to be conflict on every side

And everything’s up in a swirl

If we could just reach out in love and not hate

As Jesus would have us to do

Perplexed is a word that would soon disappear

As we follow the golden rule

In response to the daily prompt Perplexed

Nature’s Praise

As I wake up in the morning

And the sun is breaking through

I sit in awesome wonder

At the good things that you do

You fill the air with sunshine

You bring the evening rain

You light the stars at night

And then you bring the sun again

You start the birds a chirping

In the early morning light

And as sunset rolls along

You give them sleep into the night

The animals all trust you

To provide their daily care

They go about their daily tasks

And know you’re always there

The trees uplift their branches

In praises unto you

They know their source of life

And they give praise where it’s due

All of His creation

Is a song of simple praise

I think I’ll try to be the same

When I proclaim His name

No more murmuring or whining

No more wishing there was more

No more wondering if He hears me

No more doubting His dear word

No more thinking it is my time

No more sulking in my woes

No more worries in my trials

No more angry at my foes

If nature can just praise Him

For the good things that He gives

Why should I be any different

In the praise that I uplift

Far From a Winner

It may seem irrational

Or even quite radical

That one man could make such a change

But I’m here to tell you

That this change is quite true

Through Jesus life was rearranged

From a dirty, ugly sinner

I was far from a winner

When I found out that He really loved me

I asked Him to come in

My life was cleansed from sin

And now I know He’ll meet all of my needs

So if you need a change

And life needs rearranged

Why don’t you cry to Jesus Christ today

He’ll gladly save your soul

And make your spirit Whole

Then guide you as you travel in His way

In response to the daily post Radical

I Praise You Jesus

I set my eyes on you this morning

My gaze was looking for the light

The morning came upon me quickly

And now the dawn has taken flight

I rose out of bed and looked up

Toward the heavens high above

Then I stretched my hands above me

And I started shouting out

I praise you Jesus

For this day you’ve given me

I praise you Jesus

Foe the breath inside of me

I praise you Jesus

You have granted me just one more day

I praise you Jesus

My eyes are open wide

I praise you Jesus

You are always by my side

I praise you Jesus

For the gift of life you send my way

There’s nothing that can keep me

From lifting up your name

No matter what this day brings

You are still the same

My wonderful redeemer

My Savior and my friend

You have my life in your hands

You’ll keep me ‘til the end

I praise you Jesus

For this day you’ve given me

I praise you Jesus

Foe the breath inside of me

I praise you Jesus

You have granted me just one more day

I praise you Jesus

My eyes are open wide

I praise you Jesus

You are always by my side

I praise you Jesus

For the gift of life you send my way

Lonely People

I walk into the church here in Iowa
Waiting for the choir to begin
I settled into the back of you as I always do
As an elderly gentleman walks in

I have seen him here before, but it had been a while
His appearance seems to drive some folks away
I was sitting on the pew on the other side
As the congregation starts to sing God’s praise

Why are there so many lonely people
In a country where so many claim to know
That Christ came for the Lost
And He paid such a cost
Now our mission is His love to show

As I sang I couldn’t help but notice him
Tears were welling up with in his eyes
His feeble voice did lift his praise to Christ the King
I sensed His heart was breaking inside

The worship service came to a mighty end
In the sermon was inspiring to all
As the pastor gave an altar call prepared that day
The old man slowly rose and went aisle

Why are there so many lonely people
In a country where so many claim to know
That Christ came for the Lost
And He paid such a cost
Now our mission is His love to show

A sudden urge came over me to join him there
So I went and knelt beside him for a while
He was weeping as he bowed his head in silent prayer

Then he turned and looked at me with a smile

He said “Son, my wife passed on 5 years ago

And I was blaming God that she was gone

But this morning I awoke and felt the Holy Spirit call

And I knew that God had loved me all along

I hadn’t been to church

For all those many years

And when I heard the choir sing, I was so blessed

For God to still love me

When I had turned on Him

Overwhelmed me and brought me to His rest

We left the church that morning as friends

And vowed that we would keep in touch through time

I thanked the Lord He’d given me this day to realize

That a simple deed can change a person’s life

Let’s all try to look for lonely people

And ask the Lord what he would have us do

His mission is the same

His love will never change

He desire is to reach them through you

Remember

This day we remember an enemy lurks

Who would love to harm us much

He has looked at our land and despises the fact

We’ve been blessed by the Master’s touch

As our morals decline and our streets fill with hate

He slowly creeps in like a fog

We better stand up and shout from the roofs

This enemy must be stopped

We love America

Land of the free

Brave soldiers bled and died

For liberty

Let all who threaten us

Be brought to dust

By the Mighty hand of God

In Him we trust

In this year of great division

All across our land

It is time we come together

And make a bold new stand

One that says we are united

And our country’s standing tall

When we rise up as a nation

We can never fall

So let us boldly lift our voices to the sky

And pray that God will hear our heartfelt cry

When we bow down on our knees

And Him only do we seek

He will come and heal our land that very day

We love America

Land of the free

Brave soldiers bled and died

For liberty

Let all who threaten us

Be brought to dust

By the Mighty hand of God

In Him we trust
