I Am Forgiven

I was happy
I had no regrets.
I had lived the way I wanted to
And no bad happened yet
But then I met a man who had more joy
Than I had ever seen
I knew I wanted some of that
So he told me where he’d been

I‘ve been forgiven
My sins are gone.
He bled and died to take away
All my guilt and shame
He stretched his arms out wide
On Calvary’s tree
That I might live
Eternally

Well I was baffled
At what he said.
I never heard of a man and a tree
So I asked him to explain
Then he told me the story of Jesus
And my soul was filled with pain
I knew that I was heading wrong
And it was time for a change

So I knelt down
On my knees to pray:
Dear Jesus please forgive me
And help me find my way
I put my trust in you dear Lord
To guide me day by day
And then I knew down in my spirit
I would never be the same.

I am forgiven
My sins are gone.
He bled and died to take away
All my guilt and shame
He stretched his arms out wide
On Calvary’s tree
That I might live
Eternally

If you kneel down
On your knees and pray
Dear Jesus please forgive my sins
And help me find my way
I put my trust in you dear Lord
To guide me day by day
Then He’ll come into your heart
And you will never be the same

You’ll be forgiven
You’ll be set free
He bled and died to take away
All your guilt and shame
He stretched His arms out wide
On Calvary’s tree
So you could live
Eternally

I was a sinner
Dazed and confused
Just barely getting through life
My life was spiraling
Out of control
Drugs and booze helped me survive

I finally came
To a fork in the road
I heard of a Savior above
They needed no mallet
To beat into me
That I needed this Saviors love

I bowed on my knees
And prayed a short prayer
I felt a change come over me
And since that great day
I truly am saved
And I long to be all I can be

If your life is headed
Down similar paths
And you’d like a way of escape
Call out to Jesus
Give Him your life
Trust Him before it’s too late

The Roaming Heart

I’ve been the one who appeared to be good
Singing and praising the Lord
I’ve been the one who all thought was meek
Knowing a lot in the word

But inside my pride was boiling up
I made real bad choices alone
I put on a mask of being so good
But deep down inside my heart roamed

Then God brought me low before His great cross
I realized the depth of my sin
I started to live an authentic faith
Where Christ reigned supreme within

Today I watch daily that pride does not rise
My wife helps my eyes to behold
My Savior is there to help me along
I thank Him that He brings me low

Great Practice

I love to watch gymnastics
The athletes are superb
They balance on a little beam
And fly above the earth

Between the bars called parallel
They toss themselves and swing
They vault and spin and land so fair
They do most anything

Great practice and long years are spent
To learn the feats they do
Just as anything in life
It’s really up to you

What do you take the time to learn
What is your chosen path
If you would choose a Godly life
It’s His word that will last

The Bible is our source of strength
Where all the truth is heard
So take the time practice great
In God’s most Holy word

He loves us always
Yes it is true
Forever His love
Abides with you

Through sunshine and rain
His love abides
Through sorrow and pain
His love does not hide

When difficult times
Come in like a flood
His love will be there
Always enough

When i feel defeated
When my hope is gone
His love will hold me
And bring me along

When heartache has touched me
When life disappoints
His love will uplift me
His spirit anoints

There’s no situation
His love will not win
Forever His love
Is settled within

I Dream of Genie was a favorite show
For all my kids when on the grow
The laughed at how she folded arms
Providing good but sometimes harm

Aladdin was a movie name
The genie there was all but tame
He made us laugh and wish that we
Could have a genie just like he

But genie’s will not bring us peace
Joy and hope they can’t release
If you need these and also love
The place to look is God above

He may not fold His arms and blink
He may not work as you would think
But He will fill your life with good
More than a genie ever could

I received this song as a tune this morning and was then given the words. I felt an urgency to record it right away and post it today. This rarely happens, so I feel from the Holy Spirit that someone really needs this today. I pray you will be blessed by this rough recording. May the words minister grace unto the hearers! Glory Abounds

They turn up the volume
When driving their car
The music blares loudly
The ground trembles hard

That bass beat repeats
As the sound echoes on
I try to zone out
But I’m deaf from the pound

Then I have an idea
I turn up the sound
I roll down the window
The music comes loud

High and majestic
Holy is He
Lord of Creation
Full of mercy

High Hallelujahs
Worship the King
Crank out the praises
His glory we sing

This world can’t compete
With that heavenly sound
When we sing His praises
His glory abounds
