Take Time

Since Jesus Came Into My Heart

I wandered through darkness for so many years
My life had no joy as I looked out in tears
I had many doubts and thought many fears
Then Jesus came into my heart

He gave me a hope that is steadfast and sure
For all of my worries He had a cure
The love that he had for me was so pure
The day he came into my heart

Since Jesus came into my heart
I never want Him to depart
He gives me peace
My life is complete
Since Jesus came into my heart

Now I am walking with Him every day
He guides my path and shows me the way
I know that forever in His love I’ll stay
I’m blessed to have Him in my heart

If you do not know the Savior today
I hope you’ll consider what I have to say
Please know there are people who constantly pray
That you’ll allow Him in your heart

I never want Him to depart

His Perfect Plan

I was tired and worn out
I faced the world with doubt
I didn’t know what was in store for me
I looked up to the sky
And my soul began to cry
God why have you allowed these trials for me

Then I heard His gentle voice
He said son you have a choice
The way you choose determines how you’ll do
You can face them with your doubt
Or you can lift your voice and shout
From the joy you feel that I am here with you

In the middle of the test
I will never rest
I will always walk beside you through the fire
So just trust me do not doubt
For I will bring you out
This trial has a purpose in your life

I listened to His words
And knew life could be worse
So I rose up from my feeling of despair
With God close by my side
I decided to abide
With Him until this trial disappeared

He will bring His perfect will
As He does I will be still
And see His plan begin to come about
For He will walk beside me
His Spirit is within me
There’s nothing that can stop His endless love

Until That Day Comes

I want to be close to Him
Walking the streets of gold
In Heaven

I want to be free
From the pain and tears
Living a life of peace
In heaven

But until that day comes I will serve Him
Until that day comes I will give Him my all
Until that day comes I will follow His word
And do my best to do His will

Sweet anointing
Fall on me
Help me see
Your glory
Holy Spirit
Fill my heart
With your love
Each day

I want to know Him
Hear every word He says
Know that He hears my prayers
Right now

I want to be all
He has asked me to be
Until that day He comes
Back for me

But until that day comes I will serve Him
Until that day comes I will give Him my all
Until that day comes I will follow His word
And do my best to do His will

At Calvary

To deliver me
From all dis-ease

He took the time to come to me
To be with me
For eternity

He took the time to some to me
Down from His seat
In heavens retreat

He took the time to come to me
Will I take the time to come to Him

To come to Him down on my knees
With all me please
For others needs

To come to Him with arms raised high
To give my life
A sacrifice

To come to Him first every day
To give Him praise
To seek His face

To come to Him for all my needs
He gives me peace
Sets me at ease

He came to you

As you rise from sleep today
I see you as you kneel down
And start to softly pray
You whisper words of caring
For friends both far and near
I’m glad to answer every prayer
That you bring to my ear

Please walk with me today
I’ll guide you and protect you
While you walk in my way
I’ll give you strength and power
To do what you must do
I’ll see to it that every trial
Will only strengthen you

Tell me your troubles and your fear

There He was standing before me
With arms that were opened wide
I ran to feel Him embrace me
Then I stayed there right by His side

I felt His sweet peace overtake me
I breathed an aroma of joy
My heart leapt inside with a shudder
As His love swept right into my soul

Forever His presence is mine

As I stayed there in His embrace
Each moment I felt reassured
Forever His love would be with me
And the hope He gives will endure

His voice spoke silently
As I awoke from my night’s sleep
Words that filtered to my soul
Words of peace and joy and hope

I knew that He was there with me
To tell me He has set me free
Free from worry doubt and fear
Free from sorrow with its tears

Oh what mercy then I felt
I stooped down and there I knelt
Quietly beside my bed
Slowly bowing down my head

Lord I don’t deserve your grace
I don’t deserve your warm embrace
I haven’t done all that you’ve asked
I’ve been too lazy in the task

As I bowed with weeping eyes
He spoke to me with words so wise
My child I paid the price for you
And now my child it’s you I choose

I choose to love you more each day
I choose to guide you in my ways
I choose to show my word to you
No matter what it’s you I choose

I wept there as I knelt in prayer
I felt His spirit in the air
He chose me to be His child
All my sins He reconciled

Because He’s done so much for me
From now on it’s my heartfelt plea
To do all that He asks me to
So now my question is will you?
