Minister Grace

At the end of the day when I’m weary
And I’m ready to lay down my head
I think back on the things that have happened
And the words that were flippantly said

I don’t know why I spoke things I shouldn’t
I don’t know why my words slipped out wrong
But I know that now when I look back
I ask forgiveness before long

Let the words of my mouth be cautious
Let the thoughts in my mind show mercy
Let my spirit be full of your great great love
So that I might minister grace

As I lay my head down I pray softly
Asking God to help me tomorrow
I desire that my words will flow gently
To help all that they touch see my Lord

Words of love and peace
Words of joy and hope
Words of salt and light
Words of grace thats bold

Let the words of my mouth be cautious
Let the thoughts in my mind show mercy
Let my spirit be full of your great great love
So that I might minister grace
