Who tells the sun when to rise each day
Who tells the moon when to shine or fade
Who moves the stars from place to place
Only our God. Only our God

Who starts the wind and commands it to blow
Who steers the clouds where they should go
Who rises temperature or sets it low
Only our God. Only our God

Who gives the birds a song to sing
Who rises flowers from seeds each spring
Who allows bees to buzz and sting
Only our God. Only our God

Who brings the leaves upon the trees
Who changes their color before the freeze
Who has them fall in autumns breeze
Only our God. Only our God

Who sent His only Son to die
Who rose Him up to bring new life
Who loves us more than we realize
Only our God. Only our God

Who wants us for His own today
Who hears us when we bow and pray
Who blesses us in every way
Only our God. Only our God

So Many Things

Eggs in the fry pan
Bacon being nuked
Coffee brewing slowly
Pouring out the juice
Toast in the toaster
Eggs need turning now
Multitask for breakfast
Sometimes I wonder how

But all the while I’m running
My spirit is alive
I’m praising my dear Savior
He’s always at my side
And as He brings some people
To rest inside my mind
My prayers go up unceasing
That they will all be fine

There are so many things
To do when morning calls
The best way is to contemplate
How to best do them all
When finally it’s over
And all the food is gone
I sit and write this poem

Let My Words

Let my words be graceful every day
That whoever hears is blessed
Let me speak only what edifies
That the hearer will lift up his eyes

Let my words bring peace to troubled souls
Comfort in their darkest times
Let me speak only what soothes their pain
So that they might lift your name again

Let my words bring joy where sorrow lurks
That will bubble up inside
Let me speak only what brings a smile
To their saddened face for just a while

Let my words bring hope to those in doubt
That will build their confidence
Let me speak only what their souls need
So that once again through faith they’ll see

Let my words bring love to everyone
That they’ll know my Savior’s heart
Let me speak encouragement to them
That they’ll lift their praise to Him again

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

At Last

Trapped within a mine
With no food or water
Darkness settle sin
This scary small enclosure
No escape is seen
Then someone moves a boulder
Daylight streaming in
You’re free to live at last

Trapped within your sin
With no path to escape
Jesus comes to earth
He forgives by His grace
Then angels move a boulder
Now you can see His face
Forever you can praise Him
He made the way at last

When lightning is flashing you’ll feel no alarm
When you’re in a battle He will bring calm
Find peace in Jesus safe in His arm

Find joy in Jesus that bubbles inside
When life brings a test His joy will not hide
When all seems so wrong He will always abide
Find joy in Jesus He stays by your side

All that you need
All you desire
All that your heart
Will ever require
All that you long for

Find hope in Jesus that never will die
When all seems lost He’ll lift up your eyes
When darkness comes His light will shine bright

White as Snow

I’ve made a lot of messes in my day
I’ve spilled a lot of stuff
That caused some massive stains
Industrial strength cleaner
Was the only way
To clean up all the messes I have made

But there is one mess that I cannot touch
No cleaner in this world
Can cleanse this stain enough
It is the sin stain that is left
Upon my heart
Whenever I far away from God

However there is one way that I know
To take this sin stain out
And make it white as snow
The blood of Jesus Christ was shed
To cleanse my soul
He takes my sin stains out and makes me whole

Today if you are wallowing in sin
All you have to do is ask
And Jesus will forgive
Don’t let the sin stain in your life
Remain within
Give up your sin today and ask Him in

I come to you with just one plea
That you would listen close to me
It’s not that I am all that smart
I just have something to impart

This life can be a lonely place
Time seems to vanish as we race
Friends come and go as years pass by
There is no rhyme or reason why

We all need one to walk us through
The valleys that our steps don’t choose
When storms arise we’ll have that friend
That will be with us to the end

Jesus Christ is just that way
He’ll walk alongside us each day
If you have made Him Lord of all
His strong arms will not let you fall

Ask Him to take your sin away
Ask Him to live in you today
Then follow Him with all your heart
You’ll find that life has hit restart

He God commanded the Light to shine
The first day of creation
The fourth day the Sun moon and stars were made
He placed each in their station

So what was the Light that He made first
The one that He spoke into being
It was the Word of God come to illuminate all
From the darkness that had been reigning

Still today the sun moon and stars do shine
Dividing the day and the night
The first Light is still there to show us the way
From hell fire to heaven’s delight

Look to the Light of the World today
Jesus Christ the Word made flesh
He’ll take all your sorrows and sins away
And cover you with His grace

The Believers Walk

In His Image

He guides me by His hand
To walk within His plan
Day by day
He shows the way
To follow His command

He holds me in His arms
I never feel alarm
Tight and secure
I’m always sure
I’m safe from earthly harm

In His image He made me
To walk these daily steps indeed
But not by earthly form
His grace I do adorn
His mercy flows through me
His love to others seeps
This is the image He had planned for me

He walks beside my way
So I won’t go astray
He’ll pick me up
If I get stuck
He’ll make sure I’m okay

I am His hands and feet
I am His mouth and heart
I am His messenger
Through me He does impart
His mercy and His grace
Must flow through my embrace
So may I always know
His image I must show

In His image He made me
To walk these daily steps indeed
But not by earthly form
His grace I do adorn
His mercy flows through me
His love to others seeps
This is the image He had planned for me

 

Let Your Prayer be Heard

I pray today that you be healed
Of sickness you may carry
Take up your bed
By God be led
Don’t let this sickness tarry

I pray today that you be free
Of finance that does bind you
Ask wisdom from
The Lord above
He’ll tell you what to do

God does authorize our prayers
Over all the power of the enemy
Nothing can stand against His word
He overcome the world for me

I pray today that you be free
Of sins that haunt your life
He died that day
On Calvary
Accept His sacrifice

I pray today that faith will rise
Within your new creation mind
And you will know
He loves you so
And will for all of time

No matter what your prayer may be
He authorizes you to speak
To quench the power of the enemy
So let your prayer be heard

God does authorize our prayers
Over all the power of the enemy
Nothing can stand against His word
He overcome the world for me
