My life was so easy
When I was a sinner
I didn’t know better
Than drinking or lust
One day I realized
My future was fragile
I was not so agile
To freely live on
I then met the Savior
Who sought me forever
He would fail me never
If He was my Lord

Now peace is internal

My life was not always so joyful
Peace has just recently come
I could not find rest
Until I was blessed
By knowing that Jesus had won
Before I knew Him I was lonely
Forlorn in my sinful ways
His mercy found me
His grace set me free
Now I’ll have Him all of my days
Do you know that Jesus loves you
That He died on the cross for your sins

It’s Christmas Eve
The day before
We celebrate
The newborn Lord
I hope all’s well
With you today
Have you asked Him

When Jesus came
That fateful night

On this December
Christmas Day
I was walking down the street
In Bethlehem one day
There were crowds of people all around
And I found no place to stay
I walked a little further
To find a place to lay
And what did I discover
But a baby in some hay
The mother was so happy
The father was in awe
Then shepherds came and worshiped
And I just sat and thought
Who is this little child
That Shepherds came and saw
I asked them why they came
And their story hit me hard
They said they saw an Angel
And He said they should not fear
That a child had been born
The Messiah had appeared
And then a band of Angels
They sang be of good cheer
Go and greet the child
You will find Him really near
When I heard their story
I bowed my head and prayed
If this is the Messiah
I had to change my ways
I knew that He was coming soon
And He will come to save
When I prayed for Him to touch me
He forgave me by His grace
He’s coming back again my friend
And it could be any day
If you have not accepted Him
Be sure you’re not too late
Ask Him in your heart today
A prayer’s the only way
And He will wash your sins away
Be born again today
When I was young I went to church
I got to know my Bible
I went through confirmation class
Then faith became my rival
Once out of school I turned away
From lessons I had learned
I followed sin instead of God
And righteousness I spurned
In the middle of this frolic
When I thought I was free
You will not believe
What Jesus did for me
The spirit started drawing me
So gently deep inside
I didn’t know His voice back then
I faintly heard His cry
I found out that He loved me
Despite all of my sin
I found out that he died for me
To give me peace within
I turned my life around one day
He saved me through and through
Ever since that day occurred
I’ve tried to learn His truth
He’s healed me many times since then
Delivered me from evil
He walks with me from day to day
He shields me from the devil
His hope is ever in my soul
His joy is so abundant
His peace brings calm in every storm
Why was I so reluctant
Perhaps today your wondering
If Jesus is for you
If you want peace inside your soul
Then this is what you do
Just ask Him to forgive your sin
Ask Him to be Lord
Accept His grace and mercy
He’ll give you so much more
You will not believe
What Jesus did for me
Until you have received
His love that sets you free
What if I knew
today
was my last day on earth
How would my day go
I’d wake up praying
for guidance from God
Who should I talk to Lord
Give me boldness Lord
Go before me
And touch them with your spirit Lord
Cause them to be ready
For my witness
Then I would break out
in praise
and worshp
Lifting His name
Thanking Him
for His mercy and grace
thanking Him fr preparing hearts
to hear my words
thanking Him for walking with me
giving me the words to say
and the spirit to say them
wisely
I would leave my house
and go business to business
declaring
His sacrifice
offering
His salvation
to all I see
Compelling them
to enter the Kingdom of God
Then
I would go door to door
pleading with them
to give their lives to Him
today
At the end of the day
I would be with my wife
loving her
consoling her
assuring her
That we will see each other
again
Then
I would sleep
Now
I need to make that day
today
I still remember where I was when Jesus set me free
I still remember who was there the day He rescued me
I remember the reaction that all those friends could see
On that happy day when Jesus saved me
I’d traveled out to Iowa to visit with my friend
My life was full of drink and drugs I partied without end
The plan was to enjoy the stay and party long with him
Things took quite a change soon when I arrived
The second night of stay my friend took me to church
I heard a message that convinced me I was truly lost
I raised my hand for prayer but was frozen in my seat
I knew I didn’t want to go to hell
Later in the week that pastor came to visit me
He said he saw my hand and asked if he could pray with me
I prayed a prayer of sorrow for the sin that was so deep
I asked God for forgiveness and asked him to save me
I sat on my friends’ couch as that prayer came forth that day
Suddenly a cold sweat started coming out of me
It felt as if my sin was being cleansed from inside out
My clothes were drenched in sweat as I wept at His great love.
That day set things in motion for who I am today
My mind and soul and heart all long to walk along His way
I live as pure as I can in this fallen world each day
Giving praises to my Savior for His mercy and His grace
Now that’s my testimony of the day He set me free

The stone then rolled away
The guards fainted in fright

Sometime in the night
The morning dawned the third day
The women came anointing
He has risen angels told them
They went away rejoicing
Once upon the cross
He gave His life for me
All my sin He took
So I could be set free
Oh the blessed mercy
Displayed for all to see
