Depend on You

When I am in sorrow
And I am discouraged
I know you will see me through.

When I’m disappointed
And I am downhearted
I know I can trust in you

When my heart is broken
And trials are heavy
I know I just need to pray

When I think I’m lost
And storms swirl around
I know that you’ll make a way.

You are the answer
To all of my needs
You are my strength
When I’m on my knees
You’re the supplier
Through every storm
I can always depend on you

Rescue

Every week it seemed we would watch it
They brought tears to our laughing eyes
Archie and Edith went at it
“Stifle yourself” was his cry

We all have some traits in our lives
That we’d like to get rid of each day
But the only real way we can do that
Is to stifle it in every way

For me it was sin that detered me
Then I heard Jesus paid the price
He died on the cross for my pardon
Now I offer to you this advice

If you’re wand’ring through life without hope
And it seems you can’t stifle your fear
Just call out to Jesus for rescue
If your honest you will catch His ear

Ask Him for His forgiveness
For the sin that has plagued our past
Ask Him to be the Lord of your life
Then enter His rest at last

Ungoverned

I once discovered
That I’d been ungoverned
My life had been such a disgrace
Now I have an inkling
You know what I’m thinking
When I tell you that I’ve found my way

My best friend had gumtion
He made introduction
For me to find Jesus my Lord
Now I’m singing praise
To that glorious name
My life is now safe evermore

Down the Trail

I started down the trail
On a bright sunny day
Blue sky dotted with clouds
White and puffy
Like cotton balls floating by
It was autumn
Trees lined the path
Yellow and orange leaves
Fluttered down from above
Floating on a gentle breeze
The path sloped downhill
A gentle incline
Leading to a brook below
Lush moss lined the older trees
Undergrowth filled the ground
With green leaves
As I neared the brook
It babbled to me
Letting me know it was there
The growth got thicker as I neared it
The path became more obscure
There was much growing
In the valley
Near the brook
I crossed the small brook
Heading up the other side
Steeper and steeper was the climb
The sky started clouding up
Darker clouds hiding the sun
Darker below the trees
The fragrance of rain filled my nostrils
The climb became even more difficult
Then the rain started
Gentle rain
Filtering through the leaves
Showering down upon me
As I continued upward incessantly
Desiring to reach the summit
The trees grew scarcer
The passing rain grew lighter
The clouds started to part
I came out of the trees into open air
Rocky ground was all around me
The sun started to peak through the distant clouds
Lowering on the horizon
The air was clean and clear
A I reached the summit
Watching the sunset
Brilliant reds filled the sky
As clouds were gilded gold
Extraordinary colors
Bade the setting sun goodbye

Reflecting on my trip that day
I realized
That every step was a joy
The valley had its pleasures
As did the summit
The rain was refreshing
The climb invigorating
The ending beautiful
Then I realized
That life is so like this walk of mine
Filled with ups and downs
Clear skies and rain
Valleys and mountains
It is all joy
It is all good
It is all a blessing
It is all a gift from God

The Heavenly Chorus

I hear the heav’nly chorus
Singing ‘round the throne
Angels sound their trumpets
As they worship God alone

Cherubim and seraphim
Flying as they sing
Join the gathered elders
Praise to God they bring

To the Lamb we sing blessing
Glory and honor
Power Forever Amen

My heart is lifted upward
To heavenly heights I climb
As I sing the angel chorus
With all my heart and mind

To the Lamb I sing blessing
Glory and honor
Power Forever Amen
To the Lamb I sing blessing
Glory and honor
Power Forever Amen

Holy is He
Holy is He
Holy is the Lamb
Holy is He
Holy is He
Holy is the Lamb

To the Lamb I sing blessing
Glory and honor
Power Forever Amen

The Masterpiece

It’s hard for me to fathom
How the master forms the clay
While it’s spinning so quickly on the wheel
I have watched Him use the water
As He forms and shapes the clay
The pressure that he gives must be ideal

When he finishes he looks
At the masterpiece he made
As it casts a silhouette upon the ground
In his image he created
Each one of us unique
There is not another one of you around

One by one he fashioned us
On the spinning wheel of life
The pressure of his hands through trials felt
The water of His cleansing word
Shapes and molds our lives
‘Til before His cross we solemnly have knelt

The master knows you better
Than you even know yourself
He always has the best for you in mind
He formed you to be his
Won’t you give your life to Him
Make Jesus the Lord of all your life

He Loves Me

He sees me when I’m smiling
He sees me when I frown
He sees me when I’m up
He sees me when I’m down
He sees me when I’m lonely
He sees me when I’m full
He sees me when I’m happy
He sees me when I’m blue

He not only sees but He cares for me
He looks down and sends His mercy for free
When I cannot feel Him and don’t hear his voice
He is still watching me

He hears me when I’m crying
He hears me when I laugh
He hears me when I’m solemn
He hears me when I gasp
He hears me when I’m anxious
He hears me when I’m calm
He hears me when I’m peaceful
He hears when I’m alarmed

He not only hears but He answers me
If I’ll only listen I’ll know He loves me
When I am not sure if He hears my voice
He is still list’ning to me

He never will leave me
Never give up on me
Never abandon me
Never ignore me
He always will love me
Always be there for me
Always forgive me
Always have mercy

His love reaches out and captures me
His joy fills me up and He gives me peace
I cannot imagine life without Him
Jesus Christ my Lord

Up and Down

I’m learning the piano
One lesson at a time
It seems my fingers do not move
As fast as I would like

One lesson that I’m good at
Is one they call a trill
My fingers travel up and down
Like hiking on a hill

I find that life is like that
It takes us up and down
Our journeys may be diff’rent
We walk on diff’rent ground

If your life seems uncertain
And you want to start anew
Just give your life to Jesus
He gave His life for you

Ask Him for forgiveness
To be your Lord today
He’ll come and walk beside you
Forever and always

There For Me

I have been sick
I have been bound
I have been lost
I’ve been unsound
I have been worried
I have been sad
Jesus was there for me

I have had doubts
I have had pain
I have had troubles
I’ve had disdain
I have had thoughts
That this was the end
Jesus was there for me

Jesus is always right there for me
When I call out to Him He comforts me
Shows me His mercy so I can see
How much He truly loves me

I have been broken
I have been beat
I have been chastised
I’ve been incomplete
I have been wandering
I have cried out
Jesus was there for

Jesus is always right there for me
When I call out to Him He comforts me
Shows me His mercy so I can see
How much He truly loves me

He loves me more
Then I’ll ever know
He loves me more
Then I’ll ever know
He loves me more
Then I’ll ever know
Jesus is there for me

Jesus is always right there for me
When I call out to Him He comforts me
Shows me His mercy so I can see
How much He truly loves me

Heart Repair

I’ve had my days of power
When selling was my thing
I grew my share of business
By selling stuff with bling

My pride got in the way
Most dominant of traits
I grew too big in my own eyes
Delusion was my fate

My rescue came by mercy
With one big dose of grace
Jesus put my mind on track
A humbling time took place

Now every time my pride will rise
To levels not desired
I place my life into His hands
And He repairs my heart
