Turn to Jesus

If you’re struggling today
And you don’t know where to turn
Turn to Jesus

If you’re lost along the way
And it’s hard to understand
Turn to Jesus

He will guide you and protect you
He will light your way
He will set your feet on solid ground
If you’re wandering through life
And you think there’s no return
Turn to Jesus

If you’re sick and in despair
And you have no place to go
Turn to Jesus

If it seems your life’s a wreck
And you just can’t get it right
Turn to Jesus

He will heal your broken body
He’ll restore you’re wounded heart
He will make you feel brand new again
If you’re wandering through life
And you think there’s no return
Turn to Jesus

He is the way when there is no way
He is the truth when you doubt
He is the light when the darkness comes
He is the only way out

If you’re looking for the answer
To the questions in your life
If you’re ready to surrender
All your sin and shame and strife
If your heart is truly broken
If your words are faintly spoken
If you have just one last prayer
Turn to Jesus

The Final Call

Sometimes it’s nice to be on time
Be sure you mark the date
Big appointments can be very hard
We don’t want to be late

If circumstance would cause delay
The company might blink
But if it’s just me being me
My interview will stink

We all have a date coming up
When we will meet the King
Not thing can make you tardy
He controls everything

If we should not be ready
To accept His final call
The day He comes will be too late
Today give Him your all

Weary Soul

Weary soul
Can you not find peace
Look to the one
Who calms the seas

Weary soul
Can you not find joy
Look to the one
Who frees your soul

Weary soul
Can you not find rest
Look to the one
Who says your blessed

Weary soul
Can you not find hope
Look to the one
Who helps you cope

Weary soul
Can you not find love
Look to the one
Who lives above

Master of Everything

I’ve wandered through darkness and trouble
I’ve lived through the good times and bad
So far I’ve survived
By keeping my eyes
On the one who died in my place

The road has not always been easy
At times I just want to give up
Then I realize
That it’s just my pride
That tells me I don’t have enough

He’s blessed me beyond good measure
He’s brought me through every trial
I just can’t escape
His mercy and grace
He’s been with me all the while

From now on when I’m in the battle
When it seems like there’s no way out
I’ll call out to Him
My Savior and friend
Then I’ll lift up my voice and shout

Glory to God in the highest
Praise to the King of Kings
Worship His name
Honor and praise
Master of everything

I Rise

Out of the ashes
Out of the mire
Out of the dark
I rise

Out of my sin
Out of my guilt
Out of my shame
I rise

He lifted me up
Set my feet on the rock
I am washed by His blood
Forever

He guides me each day
His word lights my way
I’m safe and secure
In Him

Out of despair
Out of my past
Out of the lies
I rise

Out of bondage
Out of sorrow
Out of anger
I rise

He lifted me up
Set my feet on the rock
I am washed by His blood
Forever

He guides me each day
His word lights my way
I’m safe and secure
In Him

Jesus mighty Savior
Jesus lifted me
Pulled me up from darkness
I’m free
I’m free

Into His joy
Into His peace
Into His hope
I rise

Into His arms
Into His care
Into His love
I rise

Jesus mighty Savior
Jesus lifted me
Pulled me up from darkness
I’m free
I’m free

Far Off

Far off

Past the fields filled with snow

and dirt

and the residue from the harvest

Past the river

winding through the countryside

seemingly aimlessly

Past the tree lined river bed

that marks it’s path

through the fields

Past the small town

just east of here

small and quaint

nestled in the quiet earth

still asleep

There is where I see beauty

Streaming rays of beginning dawn

show on the horizon

clouds gilded with gold

others shimmering red

orange

yellow

As I watch the splendor

I am aware

acutely aware

God has graced me with one more day

There is Still Time

Sometimes it seems very slow
Sometimes it goes too fast
Sometimes we don’t want any more
Sometimes we hope it lasts

Our time is one possession
We all have just the same
No matter what you do each day
There’s none that will remain

One day soon the Lord will come
He will come in a blink
If we have not accepted Him
Our life will really stink

I pray you’ll take a little time
To think about this fact
When you really think it through
I pray you will react
