I See The Lighthouse

I’ve been wand’ring in this ship of mine for many years
I’ve been tossed from stormy sea to stormy sea
I cannot seem to find safe harbor anywhere
There is no rest for wicked men like me

The fog comes rolling in so thick I cannot see the bow
And I hear the splashing of the billowed waves
I know the land is close and I fear a crash ahead
When a light breaks through to guide me safe

I see the lighthouse
Standing tall and strong
Guiding me to safety from the storm
I see the lighthouse
The light shines on me
Now I’m safe into the harbors arms

In life we have these stormy days come all too much
We wonder if we’re strong enough to bear
By ourselves it seems we struggle from one day to the next
Often we’re not getting anywhere

When the storms of life surround you. there’s a lighthouse here for you
That shines a light to guide you on your way
His name is Jesus Christ, He died to give you life
And to help you through your struggles everyday

He is the lighthouse
Always there for you
Ask Him now to shine His light on you
He is the lighthouse
He will save your soul
His arms will be safe harbor just for you

In high school I took languages
French and Spanish you know
Today I may still know some words
But to translate I’d be a no show

Now I can open my Bible
I read the words of my Lord
And His Spirit helps me to know
What blessings He has in store

I do not need a translator
To know what He has to say
Because He is living inside me
He speaks to me every day

My Hope For You

I hope you can hear what I hear
When the Spirit speaks to me
The sweet gentle sound of His voice
Like a heavenly melody

I hope you can see what I see
When I look to see His face
The glorious beauty of heaven
Makes me lift up my voice in praise

Oh Lord you are so magnificent
So merciful and wise
I want to be in your presence
Every day that I’m alive

I hope you can feel what I feel
When He takes me in His arms
His touch comforts me in my weakness
Gives my mind a sure sense of calm

I hope that you say what I say
When all my senses sense Him
My heart leaps out to sing praises
To my wonderful Lord and King

Oh Lord you are so magnificent
So merciful and wise
I want to be in your presence
Every day that I’m alive

I’ll praise you with a loud voice
I’ll open my ears to hear
I’ll open my eyes and behold you
As I feel you drawing near

I’ll lift up my hands towards heaven
My worship will reach to your ears
I’ll never stop singing your praises
Through all of my coming years

Oh Lord you are so magnificent
So merciful and wise
I want to be in your presence
Every day that I’m alive

Full Of Fruit

The  gossip mills were churning
In my younger years
They said all kinds of nasty, juicy things
Most of them were true
As I was quite a wreck
I deserved the words their gossip brings

But then I met the Savior
Who took away my sin
And set me on a course to new life
Now I’m full of fruit
The Spirit gives to me
My juicy life is much more sweet and nice

My Payers Go Up

A faint light
Escapes from the kitchen
As I awake this morning
And my prayers go up

There are those
I know who are hurting
As I petition God for them
And my prayers go up

There are those
Who need His salvation
As I intercede for their souls
And my prayers go up

He hears my every word
From His throne on high
As in Jesus name I pray
The answer will come
In His time

I ask God
To give them strength
As they wait for relief
And my prayers go up

I ask God
To give them peace
In the midst of the battle
And my prayers go up

I ask God
To give them joy
To replace their suffering
And my prayers go up

He hears my every word
Before His throne I bow
As in Jesus name I pray
The answer will come
now, it will come now

God will see you
Through the heartache
Through the pain
Through the suffering
Through every battle
Until the answer comes
Just trust Him

I am awake
My prayers have ceased
And my praise goes up
To the God
Tho answers prayers
My praise goes up
 
For I know
That He has heard me
And the answer’s
On the way
 
I will praise Him
I will worship
I will bow
Before His throne
As my prayers go up

For All Eternity

My life was such a mess back then
I gave death little thought
I always lived my life down here
Like I didn’t give a squat

But then I learned there was a hell
And it was not for me
I didn’t want to burn down there
For all eternity

So I accepted Christ as Lord
And the price He paid for me
And I will live in heaven above
For all eternity

Now That I Know

There was a time
When I knew not
What Jesus did for me
I hadn’t heard
About His love
Or death on Calvary

I didn’t know
His sacrifice
Was given in my place
I hadn’t heard
Of His mercy
Or His amazing  grace

But now that I know I’ll praise Him
From the dawn ’til setting sun
I’ll lift my voice and hands up high
For all that He has done

I’ll praise Him for His goodness
I’ll praise Him for His love
I’ll praise Him for the mansion
He has built for me above

Now that I know
What Jesus did
To set me free from sin
Others must hear
About His love
And all He’s done for them

I’ll let them know
The price He paid
That He died to set them free
I’ll share the word
And testify
The He would die for me

I will worship Him on high
And I will praise His name
I’ll tell the world of His great love
I’ll tell them how I’ve changed

And when I gt the chance to pray
For someone to be saved
I’ll celebrate with the heav’nly host
And lift His name in praise

Oh, glory to the Son of God
Glory to His name
His love has saved us all from sin
I’ll lift my voice in praise

What A Wonderful Father

Oh what a wonderful Father
Oh what a marvelous friend
He’ll keep me in His loving arms
Until the very end

I wandered through my younger years
My path was growing dim
I didn’t know which way to turn
Until I turned to Him

He set my face to better things
He turned my life around
He took my feet from sinking sand
Placed me on solid ground

Oh what a wonderful Father
Oh what a marvelous friend
He’ll keep me in His loving arms
Until the very end

I’m resting in His promises
And when the trials come
I turn to His great mercy
He saves me by His love

One day He will come back for me
And take me to His throne
I’ll worship Him forevermore
In my eternal home

Great And Wondrous Love

How can God begin to know a little worm like me
How can God begin to hear the prayers that I speak
How can God begin to plan the future that I seek
When all the universe is Hs domain

How can God begin to bring the healing that I need
How can God begin to cause deliverance in me
How can God begin to send His Spirit to guide me
When all creation cries to Him each day

The answer to these questions
Is found inside His word
It’s really very simple
But to logic it’s absurd
That the God of all creation
Would care about just one
And hear his every cry
Because of His great love

Yes, it’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brings Him to do all these things for us
It’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brought Him down to earth and to a cross

It’s so hard to understand it
But by faith we take His hand
As He carries us through trials
And He shows us His great plan

I’m in awe of His great mercy
I’m so glad for His great grace
I will trust in Him forever
And one day I’ll see Hs face

Yes, it’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brings Him to do all these things for us
It’s His love
His great and wondrous love
That brought Him down to earth and to a cross
