The enemy gathers daily

Just before the dawn

To plan a way to take you down

They gather up the gossip

Rumors and lies

And start a chain to spread it all around

 

Wording carefully crafted

And very neatly spun

Their web of deception knows no shame

The little minions gather

One by one they flee

To the human destination with their name

 

The saints of God gather

Just before the dawn

To plan a way to lift you to the King

They sound aloud their prayers

For healing and strength

To fight the battles this day’s going to bring

 

Interceding Prayers

And praises to our God

Their voices sing a song of victory

The angels gather round

To protect the saints of God

From any and all attacks of the enemy

 

With which of these groups

Do you work today?

The one lifting up?

Or the one breaking down?

 

Because as Christians we seem

To take both sides in stride

One minute we tear up

And the next we edify.

 

This ought not to be

In our lives as His church

We ought to be always

Lifting up those who hurt

 

Gossip and tale bearing

Have no place in the body

Putting others down for fun

Is an affront to our Lord

 

So come on church, rise up

Let the good words win out

Let the body of Christ

Rise up with a shout

Encourage each other

Pray for the sick

Help out the lonely

Make your faith stick

 

If all of us would

Take the time for this plan

The church would rise up

And restore this land

I will praise Him
No matter how I feel
I will give Him glory
Because His love is real
I will praise Him
Every single day
Worship Him forever
Lift His Holy name
If I praise Him just for blessings
My praise will oft fall short
Because some days just bring trials
It’s a promise from His word
If I praise Him just for healing
There’ll be times I’ll not sing out
Because illness can be lingering
And it may just steal my shout
But when I praise Him just because
He’s the Lord of heaven and earth
There is nothing that can blind me
To all that He is worth
He is more than blessings
More than healings,
More than life.
He’s the great creator
Of the earth
And all the skies.
So the next time tour day isn’t
What you planned for it to be
Just lift your hands and praise Him
And His glory you shall see
And all your trials and troubles
Will soon seem oh so small
The God of all creation
Is the master of them all.p

Let’s face it, life is difficult

We struggle just to live

Sometimes the trials get so hard

We wonder when we’ll quit

 

But This in only true

If we have not yielded control

To the God who owns the universe

He can satisfy our souls

 

If He’s the center of our lives

Then He will pour out grace

Mercy follows close behind

And then His joy and peace

 

Faith comes rushing into us

Hope is center stage

Healing and deliverance

Are with us every day

 

So if you’re having problems

And struggling to survive

Just put your trust in Gd above

And never be deprived

Triumph in Trials

I sit here in the hospital

And my thoughts go out to those

Who question why they’d be in such a place

And I can’t help but realize

That many of us choose

To think that these things come through lack of faith

 

I will beg to differ though

When trials and tests do come

That lack of faith is not the cause at all

I have a loving Father

Who knows His plan for me

At every turn I’m asked to hear His call

 

I know beyond a doubt He has a plan for me

And I know His plan is always for my good

So if He’s decided I should go through cancer in my life

Then I know He’s the one who’ll see me through

 

You might ask why a loving God would bring this upon me

How can good come out of something that can kill

Well let me take a moment to tell you what He’s done

In this short time while He has kept me still

 

Prayers have been answered all over the world

From friends I have both here and overseas

Building up their faith for battles that will come

Battles that by prayer will see defeat

 

The poems I have written have reached around the globe

Thousands upon thousands have been touched

This ministry is growing to edify the church

It witnesses of His great love for us

 

The testimony that this trial will one day give to me

I will share with everyone I know

Because of His great mercy, that spared me from the worst

TI can shout that He has carried be right through

 

And last is the fact that healing will come

And the glory will all go to Him

And others will be lifted up in their faith

And our enemy will never win

 

So sing out His praises when trial arise

Lift up His name and look to the skies

Your redeemer will help you and faith He’ll supply

As you rest in His loving arms

I can see it in your eyes

I can hear it in your voice

You have heard the Savors call

You have finally made the choice

 

There are so many things

That will now come about

Your life will be different

There is not any doubt

 

He’ll first give you peace

More than you’ve ever known

It will fill up your soul

And then it will grow

 

Next is the awesome joy

That comes up out of your heart

It is so much more than the happiness

This world can barely impart

 

Then there’s the hope of tomorrow

Knowing His plans are all good

And our heavenly home awaits us

That is clearly understood

 

You then start to see His mercy

Intervening in trials and tests

You realize He’s there with you

And He never, ever rests

 

Then His grace becomes part of us

And we gain the desire to forgive

And our heart reaches out to the lost

As we beg them to be saved and live

 

Finally His love rises deep from within

A love greater than man ever knew

It compels us to reach out to all that we know

And try to give them life renewed

 

The radical change that takes place

When we make Jesus our Lord

Is only a starting point in our lives

A time to give others that choice.

I Stand Amazed

There are many thing in earth

That take my breath away

Every day I can observe

The marvels  that come my way

 

From the brilliant sun at dawn

To the colors of sun set

The birds melodious song

And the flowers powerful scent

 

Then I think about my body

And the way it’s carefully made

There is no other copy

Unique in all it’s ways

 

All these things bring wonder

To my big imagination

I marvel as I ponder

The vastness of creation

 

It’s awesome, Oh, so awesome

That God would care so much

To give us this great earth

So He could stay in touch

 

But even more than awesome

Is the love He has for me

That He would give His son

To take my sin from me

 

So now I stand amazed

At all that He has done

But I truly am in awe

It’s a blessed day
I will sing His praise
Loud hosannas raise
To His Holy name
He has blessed my life
Saved me for all time
He’s my Lord divine
For the rest of time
No matter what the day brings
Or what trials come my way
He’s always there beside me
To guide me with His grace
If I should fall and stumble
He’s there to pick me up
If my faith should go weary
He’ll come and fill my cup
His mercy is amazing
He spares me all the time
His love is neverending
I can’t believe it’s mine
It’s a blessed day
I will sing His praise
Loud hosannas raise
To His Holy name
He has blessed my life
Saved me for all time
He’s my Lord divine
For the rest of time

I can’t imagine

What God will do today

Every day is a new miracle

When I trust His way

 

Nobody ever knows

The blessings that will come

When I yield to His spirit

And trust in His love

 

Today might bring trials

That challenge my faith

Designed so I’ll run

To His awesome grace

 

Sickness may come

In the midst of the night

Will I trust on His healing?

To end my plight?

 

Friends might desert me

And ruin my name

It’s then I need Jesus

To weather the pain

 

Days are not always

Blessings and joy

There are times in the valley

When we need to grow

 

So God allows these things

To strengthen our faith

If we’ll only just trust

In His awesome grace

My Heavenly Father

I once had a Father on earth

Who I barely knew at all

He left us when I was young

And He hardly ever called

 

We would get a gift at Christmas

And a visit here and there

But through time I grew bitter

And didn’t even care.

 

The anger inside grew mighty

As I reached my teenage years

I got into things angered my mom

And had her often in tears

 

I could not find my way through life

I struggled just to survive

The time had to come to turn around

Or I might take my life

 

Then a friend from a long time ago

Came and told me a story I knew

But He told it in such a different way

I listened and heard the truth

 

I have a heavenly Father

Who loves me very much

A heavenly Father up above

Who came my heart to touch

 

He gave His own son

To die in my place

And covered my sin

With amazing grace

 

His mercy is greater

Than all my shame

He’ll live in my heart

And call me by name

 

And one day he’ll come

And take me home

To a life everlasting

Around His throne

 

I love my heavenly Father

He takes care of all my needs

My heavenly Father

He’ll always be there for me

Hard times hit us all
Even happy people fell
Even we have days that cause us harm
But when we get real low
We know just where to go
Back to our Father’s loving arms
He holds His arms out wide
He’s ever at my side
He’s there to pick me up when I fall down
And if I bruise my soul
He heals me ’til I’m whole
And sets my feet on solid ground
He loves me
More than anything
He loves me
So amazing
He loves me
Even when my love grows cold
He loves me
Through my troubled days
He loves me
When I’ve lost my way
He loves me
I cannot escape His love
His grace will cover me
Whenever I’m in need
His blessings come in every size and shape
His mercy overflows
My selfish, prideful soul
And helps those things to quietly escape
His sweet perfection slides
Into this heart of mine
Without me even knowing it’s His hand
And then one day I see
His humility in me
And I realize that this is what He planned
He loves me
He fills me with joy
He loves me
His peace is employed
He loves me
More than I can ever know
He loves me
I will sing His prsise
He loves me
I’ll worship His sweet name
He loves me
I cannot escape His love
