It’s All About Your Heart

I watch the news each morning

And what do I often see

Our cullture seems to be amidst a change

So many feel their slighted

And the balance is not fair

They think the way their treated is quite strange

I have news for each of them

Who feel entitlement

To have their own way be the way of life

It wonlt make any difference

What laws are put in placed

Unless you work to make your heart just right

The only way to change a heart

Is to give yourself to God

Let Him repair that broken heart with love

Jesus died uopn that cross

To take your sin away

You will find His grace is quite enough

So stop the demonstrations

And the murders and the hate

Let’s bring out culture back to moral ground

The heart is all that needs to change

To make our country great again

Today’s the day to let His love abound

What? I Have Cancer?

March was a tough month for me

I was told I had cancer, you see

Now my vigor is gone

And I still have long

To rid  myself of this disease

But nothing will change my mind

I will still praise the Lord all the time

He has been good to me

As He gives me mercy

And I know that I’ll end up just fine

Maybe you have some disease

You’ve been praying down on your knees

He hears your cry

And he wil supply

As you praise Him, He will bring peace

Unthinkable Stink!

If you had a choice

To have one simple smell

That would be with you for all time

Would you choose something pungent

That makes you quite sick

Or a sweet smelling savor divine?

I’m here to tell you

You do have that choice

It must be made while you’re alive

Because hell is a place

Of unthinkable stink

While heaven has scents so sublime

To avoid the bad stink

And eternity’s flames

One choice is all you must make

Accept Jesus Christ

As Lord of your life

And you’ll pass through those heavenly gates

Which Way?

When it comes to heaven or hell

It is not really easy to tell

Which ones will be going

Without really knowing

Who sits on the liminal wall

You see you can’t sit in between

And hope to make heaven your scene

If Jesus is Lord

Then Heaven is yours

So make sure from sin you are clean

His blood washes whiter than snow

If you ask Him in you will know

He wil set you free

From sin’s dread disease

And Heaven will be your new home

Are You Prepared?

This time of year is thrilling

As Christmas lights get lit

Anticipation fills the air

As Santa has his list

The children are all smiles

Awaiting the big day

It couldn’t come to fast

For they’re prepared to play

Much like the signs of Christmas

Are the signs of the end times

Calamity throughout the world

And loss of civil minds

The church awaits the coming day

With great anticipation

Are you prepared for Christ’s return

Do you have His salvation?

If not we can take care of that

Right now if you don’t mind

Just ask Jesus to forgive your sins

And make Him Lord of your life

Acknowledge that He died for you

And that he rose again

To give eternal life to you

Forever up in heaven

Changing Words

I used to think sarcasm

Didn’t matter much to most

I use to use it every single day

But then I found my words

Were hurting all my friends

Like an arrow from a bow, a mark they made
Then one day I met Jesus

And His gentle voice called out

In a way that did elicit my response

I knelt down on my knees

And I asked Him in my heart

I knew my life was changed from that day on
The first thing my friends noticed

Was the changing of my words

The sarcasm and cursing was all gone

I told them I’d met Jesus

And you should do the same

You’ll be glad you did your whole life long.

Avoiding The Fire

I have to admit, I’m a sinner

I’ll never be perfect down here

Try hard as I can

I never will stand

As a sinless man, that’s for sure

But I made a choice long ago

To avoid being scorched for all time

I asked Jesus in

And He covered my sin

Now heavens my home for all time

I am sure that you don’t intend

To burn in hell when your life ends

Why not ask Him today

To take your sins away

And you can have peace in the end

Is It True About You?

Yes, in my youth I was vulgar

Ostentatious and loud

My life was a blur

Of drugs, booze and girls

And my words would make no one proud

But then I met Jesus, the Savior

And I asked Him into my heart

He set me free

From sins dread disease

And He gave me a brand new start

Now I sing praise to Him daily

My words are uplifting and true

I’m sober at last

And my wife is a blast

I sure hope this is true about you!

No Filter Now!

I’ve always enjoyed a cup of coffee

When I rise up in the morn

It used to be I would percolate it

But now Mr Coffee’s the norm

I used to percolate things of God

I’d filter out what I opposed

That left me wondering if God was real

Or if he was just a big hoax

But then I met Jesus one fateful day

And my whole attitude was changed

Now I take in the whole word of God

And I’ll never be the same

He Holds My Heart

I love to just bite in

To a pastry filled with sweet

It makes my face to smile

Oh, a tart is such a treat.

But better yet is Jesus

The sweeest name I know

He fills me with His Spirt

My heart is all aglow

We all have a choice today

Between Jesus and a tart

I choose Jesus every time

Because Jesus holds my heart
