The Answer is Jesus

What do I know?
What do I feel?
What do I trust in that I know is real
What can I do when Injustice abounds?
I'll trust in Jesus who won't let me down

Where can I go?
Where can I hide?
When mountains of ugliness tear me inside?
Where can i run in my time if distress?
I'll run to Jesus and he'll give me rest

The answer is Jesus whenever i doubt
The answer is Jesus when troubles abound
In sorrow or pain
In sickness or shame
The answer is Jesus for He makes a way

Jesus Is My Pattern

I want to walk with integrity
Leaving behind all my iniquity
Living every day in the promises of the Lord
I want to speak with sincerity
So that giving grace is not a rarity
Help me to live like the one that I adore

Jesus is my pattern
His life I live after
All that I do should reflect His love for me
Help me hear you Father
Living a life that matters
I want to be all that you want me to be

Everything I have is yours
I come humbly to your throne
Surrendering my life to you in every way
I adore you Lord
I will give you more
More than ever before starting today

You Are There

When I wake up in the morning, you are there
When I lie down in the evening, you are there
When I’m walking down the road
Carrying my load
I know that you are there

When my trials get to heavy, you are there
When the storms make me weary, you are there
When I’m sick and need a touch
You are there to lift me up
Every time I know you are there

I don’t need to call your name, but I do
“cause I know that you will always be true
You are always by my side
In your love I will abide
Every day and every hour I need you

I need you in my heartache
I need you in my pain
I need you in my weakness
I need you in my shame
I need you when I’ve fallen
For you help me to get up
Not a moment in my day
Will I ever walk away
For I know that you are always there.

The Overcomer

Has life come unraveled and you feel undone?
Has it given you blows that you can’t overcome?
Life is hard and you think the enemy has won.
But even through trials there is still one

One who’s an anchor in every storm
One who’s a refuge to keep you from harm
One who will lift up into His arms
Come, meet Him today. He’s the Overcomer

Don’t despair. Be aware. This is not how it ends
You’re still here today because He has a plan.
He will bring you to an expected end
Because He loves you more. You’re His dearest friend

He overcomes sickness, pain and disease
He overcomes sorrow and bondages cease
He overcomes doubt, unforgiveness and fear
He overcomes all things and brings victory

He is an anchor in every storm
He is a refuge to keep you from harm
He will lift you into His arms
Come, meet Him today. He’s the Overcomer
Mercy and Grace

Escaping Hell

Once upon a time there was a sinner
His name was the same as mine
The drunkenness and drugs were his lifestyle
He did those things to pass the time

He was a long-haired, dope smoking hippie
He was dirty and smelly and raw
His filthy language matched his appearance
People really got what they saw

He hadn’t ever cared about salvation
Hell seemed liked the perfect place to go
He thought it would be a giant party
And forever he’d enjoy the show

A friend of his took him to church one Sunday
Where a missionary came on stage
He talked about a final destination
But the sinner didn’t recognize the place

He said hell was like a fiery furnace
Where the lost would burn forever and a day
Gnats and ants would run all through their living bodies
And there was only one way you could escape

A man named Jesus died upon a cross
To save all those who walked each day in sin
The sinner heard that he could have this rescue
If he’d confess his sin and repent

Of course, by now you know this is no fable
The sinner mentioned here was surely me
The day I heard that powerful story
Would change my life eternally

I now knew I did not want to go to hell
I knew I needed Jesus in my life
And when I asked for His blessed forgiveness
I knew that His salvation was now mine

Do you think hell will be a great big party?
If so, I have bad news for you today
Just think if you were tossed into a furnace
Where your body would burn up every day

Don’t get me wrong, you would still be living
The fire would not consume your life
But you would feel the fire burn and keep on burning
The blisters and the pain would not subside

Ants and gnats would bite you without ceasing
Demons kicking, clawing, scratching all the time
You’d feel every pain and every ounce of torment
And all the while your flesh would be alive

The end of all our days is drawing nearer
Maybe now’s the time you realize your end
Jesus came to save you from this hell destruction
And make heaven your home instead

Will you, today, put your trust in Jesus?
Will you ask Him for forgiveness of your sins?
Will you make Him Lord of your life forever?
If you will, you can rest assured you’ll win.

It’s not that all your trials will just vanish
But in the midst of them you will find peace
In sorrows you will find a place of comfort
In sickness you will find that He will heal

Joy will always be at your disposal
A joy that no earthly power can quench
And the hope of heaven will always be before you
No more sorrow, no more pain, and no more death

Enclosed

We’ve been enclosed by the goodness of Jesus
Blessing before us and blessings behind
No greater goodness above or below us
Jesus is always good

We’ve been enclosed by the mercy of Jesus
He will forgive us again and again
No greater mercy above or below us
Jesus is merciful

We’ve been enclosed in the great hope of heaven
His resurrection ensured us a way
No greater hope blesses us daily
In Jesus there’s always hope

We’ve been enclosed in the grace of the Father
He gave His Son to die in our place
No greater grace above or below us
He is the giver of grace

We’ve been enclosed by the gift of the Spirit
He goes before and behind us always
No greater peace than to be in His presence
He is here all the time

We’ve been enclosed by the love of the Father
He has adopted us as His own
No greater love in heaven or earth
Oh, how He loves us all

My Resting Place

May I stay in the arms of Jesus. May I dwell in His house today
May the Spirit be my guide forever. May I find my resting place

Only in Him can I find rest. Only in Him can I find hope
Only in Him can I find meaning. Only in Him can I find love

For He is God almighty. Maker of heaven and earth
He gave His life as my sacrifice so now I give my life to Him

Take me Lord, Into your loving arms. Take me into your dwelling place
Guide me by the Holy Spirit. Until I find my resting place

There I will praise you. There I will praise you
There I will worship my Lord and King
There will I praise you. There will I praise you
You have provided everything

You Come

We welcome you today, Lord, into this place
God of wondrous mercy and redeeming grace
We honor you with worship
We honor you with praise
Lord of all the heavens, we welcome you today

Come in awesome power that sickness may be healed
Come with great compassion that hearts would be restored
Come, oh Holy Spirit, come into this house
Bless those gathered here with life that love might flow throughout

As we lift our hands and voices to the sky
Lifting up your praise to the utmost height
We cannot help but wonder why you love us so
Mere sinners who fall at your cross and ask you to restore

Still, you come in awesome power that sickness may be healed
You come with great compassion that hearts would be restored
Now come, oh Holy Spirit, come into this house
Bless those gathered here with life that love might flow throughout

We honor you. We worship you. We praise your holy name.
We lift you high. We magnify your name. The name above all names
Jesus. Jesus. Jesus

Come in awesome power that sickness may be healed
Come with great compassion that hearts would be restored
Come, oh Holy Spirit, come into this house
Bless those gathered here with life that love might flow throughout
