Ponder These Things

 Lord of the Heavens
Seated on the right hand of God
 Four and twenty elders worshipping
Sing glory and honor and power and might
To the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
 Exalted above all others
 Since the beginning of time
 Glorious and majestic
 Full of awe and wonder
 All things created by Him
 All things created for Him
 Beautiful beyond description
More precious than silver or gold
 Merciful and gracious
 Longsuffering and full of goodness
 Worthy of all praise
Son of the most high God
 Holy is He
 King of heaven and earth
 Left His heavenly place
Left the splendor and the glory
Left the right hand of God
 Left His Father
 Left His power and authority
 Left His throne
 To come to this earth
 Disrobed of His glory
 Clothed in rags
 A baby in a manger
 No honor bestowed Him
 No welcome of royalty
 But animals in the stable
 A star announcing His birth
 Brightly shines above the city
Wise men from afar witness the star
 They start their journey
Angels announcing His birth to shepherds
 Not to kings
Sing glory to God in the Highest
Say the Savior, Christ the Lord, has come
As a babe in as manger
Beckon the shepherds to go and see
They come and tell Mary their tale
And bow before the King of Kings
 Little baby in the hay
Mary ponders these things in her heart
We should so ponder these things
 His humility
 His love
 His sacrifice
 All for us
 All for you
 All for me

It Is Well With My Soul

I pray a blessing on you today
May all your desires come your way
May you hear the sound of your spirit say
It is well with my soul

I pray that mercy will fill your heart
That grace may be what you always impart
That your song of life will always start
It is well with my soul

I pray that life brings you joy today
And that peace will follow you all the way
I pray that His love will cause you to say
It is well with my soul

 Let your heart rejoice
 Let your praise be heard
 Lift your loudest voice
 To our awesome Lord
Bringing honor and glory to God above
He’s the Savior of your soul

He will be with you each and every day
He will guide your life and show you the way
He died on a cross just to hear you say
It is well with my soul

Emmanuel Has Come

Emmanuel has come to the city
Emmanuel has come to the town
Emmanuel has come to the nation
Praise the Lord.  Emmanuel has come

Emmanuel has come to your children
Emmanuel has come to your home
Emmanuel has come to save us from our sin
Praise the Lord.   Emmanuel has come

Hallelujah He brings honor and glory
Hallelujah He brings mercy and grace
Hallelujah He brings joy and everlasting life
Praise the Lord. Emmanuel has come

Honor and glory.  Sing His praises
 Power and Majesty to Him
Worship forever the King of all Kings
Praise the Lord.  Emmanuel has come
Praise the Lord.  Emmanuel has come
Praise the Lord.  Emmanuel has come
Christmas Poetry

Amazing

 Wouldn’t it have been amazing
To be there on that morn
When shepherds came to greet Him
 The Savior that was born

 Wouldn’t it have been amazing
 To see the newborn babe
As wise men knelt before Him
 Sleeping on the hay

 Wonder of wonders
 God’s only Son
Came down from heaven that day
 We stand before Him
 Lord of all time
 We gratefully praise His name

 Emmanuel, Emmanuel
God has come down to save
 King of all Kings
 Lord of all Lords
Came to us as a babe

 Isn’t it truly amazing
That God loved us all so much
He gave His own Son to redeem us
His blood reaches each one of us

 Isn’t it truly amazing
That on this blessed Christmas day
We can sing of our precious redeemer
With hearts full of grateful praise

 Wonder of wonders
 God’s only Son
Came down from heaven that day
 We stand before Him
 Lord of all time
 We gratefully praise His name

 Emmanuel, Emmanuel
God has come down to save
 King of all Kings
 Lord of all Lords
Came to us as a babe

Still on the Throne

When I’m weary and worn I should praise Him
When I’m tattered and torn I should [praise Him,
 When I have many doubts
Or my should is worn out
I should lift up my hands and praise Him

He is still on the throne, still on the throne of my heart
He is Almighty God creator of heaven and earth
When is seems there’s no reason
That’s the best time to praise Him
Give to God the glory that’s due to His name

For He is worthy, worthy, worthy of all my praise
He is worthy, worthy, worthy of all my praise

Music To My Ears

When I think about the fact
That He left His royal throne
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the fact
In a stable He was born
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the star
That led the wise men there
 And the great angelic choir
That the shepherds saw in fear
When I think about His love
To become a babe so dear
I can’t help but praise His name

Bless His name.  His mighty name
The name of Jesus is so sweet and so fair
Bless His name.  The matchless name
The name of Jesus is music to my ears

When I think about the fact
He bore the stripes for me
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the fact
That He died to set me free
I can’t help but praise His name
When I think about the pain
 That He endured for me
How He gave His life for all
 That day at Calvary
When I think about the grace
That He poured out for me
I can’t help but praise His name

Bless His name.  His mighty name
The name of Jesus is so sweet and so fair
Bless His name.  The matchless name
The name of Jesus is music to my ears

 I’ll sing His praise
 Every day
 With Loudest voice
 And hands up-raised
 I’ll lift Him high
 With all my might
 The wondrous name
 Of Jesus

Bless His name.  His mighty name
The name of Jesus is so sweet and so fair
Bless His name.  The matchless name
The name of Jesus is music to my ears

Meek and Mild

She came riding on a donkey
 From many towns away
Ready to give birth to her first child
The ride she took was rugged
 The trail sometimes was steep
Her journey would go on for many miles

Joseph walked and held the reins
 Guiding her along
Wishing he could ease the pain she felt
 When they reached their destination
 Relief did fill their souls
They sought a room to settle for the night

The innkeeper did all He could
To find for them a room
But a stable was the only place he had
Mary's child was born that night
In a manger filled with hay
Wrapped in rags the blessed Savior lay

 Meek and mild
 Mother and child
 Filled all prophecy that night
 Angels praised
 Shepherds gazed
 Below the star so bright

 Shepherds watching flocks that night
 Were summoned by the angels
Go and see the babe in Bethlehem
He us Savior Christ to all
 Peace is what He brings
Glory be to God in the highest

 As they knelt before Him
 They realized their place
As all of history would mark this day
 Simple lowly shepherds
Were called to be the ones
They were the first to bow to Him and pray

 Not the rich
 Not the mighty
 Not the ones in power
 He calls us in humility
 To worship Him this hour

 Meek and mild
 Mother and child
 Filled all prophecy that night
 Angels praised
 Shepherds gazed
 Below the star so bright

The Gifts of Christmas

I see them buying Christmas gifts everywhere I go
They’ll wrap them all real nicely and tie them with a bow
Underneath the Christmas tree they’ll make the children smile
What a chance to share the love of Jesus with a little child

He was born in a manger so many years ago
Shepherds called by angels came to Him, bowing low
Three kings came there to greet Him by following a star
They brought gifts of great significance from afar

One brought gold that shone like the noonday sun
This gift was meant to show He was a king, a chosen one
The riches He possessed were greater than that gold
His victory on the cross is there for all to behold

The second brought some myrrh, a gift of somber tone
The anointing of the dead was how this gift was known
It signified that He would die to take our sins away
The fragrance of His sacrifice is still alive today

The third gift was a vial of frankincense, oh so sweet
It was used in the anointing oil of all the priests
It signified that Jesus was a priest above them all
And that our life would do well to answer to His call

So this year when those gifts are underneath the tree
See it as a moment of golden opportunity
To tell the world of Jesus and how He is enough
He came, He lived, He died to show us His great love

He Came to Die

 At Christmas time we celebrate
 The Birthday of our Lord
 Born this day in Bethlehem
 A stable His abode

 Shepherds came to greet Him
For an angel told them where
They bowed before the little child
 While Mary looked on there

 He grew and started preaching
 Repent for God is nigh
He healed all that would come to Him
He taught them with no lies

His message made the rulers made
The planned to take His life
But He knew all about their plans
 The prophets all were right

 We celebrate His birth today
 And rightfully we should
But more important is the fact
He came to die for you

His purpose from the very start
Was to give His life away
Please don’t forget the price He paid
 On this Christmas day
