From Sad to Glad

My wife and I are planning
To reside here many years
But fact is we are aging
And we do not like the stairs

We changed a season room
Into some closet space
And moved my wife’s whole bedroom
To take our dining place

The bathroom was expanded
And our future plans are made
We’ll renovate the living room
Open concept will invade

I wake up daily thinking
That the task is way to grand
For a guy who can cause trouble
With a hammer in his hand

Many years ago I thought the same
About my wayward life
I was sinking mighty fast
Into a cesspool of delight

I had to do some changing
And I needed help with that
So I asked the Lord to help me
Gave my life to Him at last

He started transform my life
And renovate my mind
It happened as I read His Word
Now I praise Him all the time

Perhaps your trapped this day
In a place that makes you sad
Ask Jesus for some help today
And He will make you glad

Effective Prayer

Please Hear My Prayer

I come to you down on my knees
Hoping that you’ll hear my plea
This sin has taken hold of me
Oh Lord please hear my prayer

I’ve tried so hard to let it go
It’s deep inside and does not show
But You can see it this I know
Oh Lord please hear my prayer

It seems you are so far away
My words are lifted everyday
Yet this old sin just seems to stay
Oh Lord please hear my prayer

No longer do I feel your hand
No longer do I understand
Am I still walking in your plan
Oh Lord please hear my prayer

The suddenly your voice I hear
You say my son be of good cheer
My blood has washed away that fear
For I have heard your prayer

Rise up and know my grace is more
My mercy does your heart implore
Now leave your sin there on the floor
Take up your bed and walk

I cry oh thank you Lord and King
Thanks so much for everything
This joy will cause my heart to sing
For you have heard my prayer

Glory to God’s only Son
Jesus Christ the risen one
Praise His name for He has won
Victory over sin

Tune of Life

Every day I sound a tune
With all I say and all I do
What others see
And hear from me
Will tell them who I did choose

I used to sound a party song
And all my friends came right along
A song of doubt
My heart did shout
My life style made me feel alone

Now I sound out praise and joy
Every day I am employed
By His sweet grace
I have been saved
I now belong to Christ my Lord

We all are instruments in life
We play a tune from deep inside
I hope God holds
Your heart and soul
So you will play a tune of life

Little Mercies 2

Little mercies day by day
Little mercies all the way
God provides them one by one
Through the love of His own Son

Came to die that I might be
From my sin and shame set free
Leads me by His gentle hand
Guides me to His loving plan

All the way gives joy and peace
Causes me to be at ease
Always stays right by my side
Just in case I fall or slide

I will praise His love and grace
As I worship every day
For the mercies He has shown
To all of us He calls His own

Lord of Lords I love you so
On your path I’ll always go
I will lift your name on high
I will raise hands to the sky

Glory glory to the Son
For all the wonders He has done
He is holy just and true
Helping me and helping you

Little mercies day by day

No Longer Silent

Too often
I am too private
With my witness for Jesus Christ
I don’t share His message
Or speak of His love
Or pray for the sick
Or visit the ones in need

It’s time to go public
To be more upfront
To tell of His goodness and love
To pray when I see a need
To visit my neighbor
To offer help
No longer be silent
But bold in His witness
Uplifting the name of the Lord

Forever You Shall Reign

Jesus Lord of my salvation
King of Kings forever
Lamb upon the throne

Savior of the world redeemer
Lord of Lords eternal
Forever you shall reign

I will lift my hands in worship
I will lift my voice in praise
I will sing of your majestic name
You are worthy of the highest
Praise and adoration
You are Lord forever you shall reign

Cherubim and Seraphim
Dance around the throne
Singing eternal praises to you

Four and twenty elders
Bow before the your majesty
Worshiping and singing

All of heaven worships
All bow down before the Lamb
All will praise forever more
Christ Jesus son of God

I will lift my hands in worship
I will lift my voice in praise
I will sing of your majestic name
You are worthy of the highest
Praise and adoration
You are Lord forever you shall reign

To praise my Savior
It’s a glorious day
To worship Him
Its a glorious day
To follow Jesus
Let us rejoice on this glorious day

It’s a wonderful day
To seek His mercy
It’s a wonderful day
To live in grace
It’s a wonderful day
To know He loves me
Let us give thanks on this wonderful day

Lifting my voice in praise
To Him my hands i raise
Hallelujah, hallelujah
He is my Lord and King
I owe Him everything
Blessed be the name of the Lord

One Path

I’ve traveled many roads
While living on this earth
Some led to a party
While others had not worth

It seemed I’d often end up
On a dead end in my life
I saw many ways to turn
But never could decide

But now my life is easier
The labyrinth is gone
There is now just one path
That I want to be on

It is the straight and narrow one
That leads to heaven’s gates
Are you now walking on that path
Come now and don’t be late

For Jesus Christ will soon return
To take the saved away
There’s only one path leading there
Accept His cross today

Safe in Jesus Arms

When the storms of life are gathered
He will keep me from all harm

When I don’t understand
I will reach for His hand
I am safe in Jesus arms

Constant abiding
Peace and be still
Joy everlasting
Hope that’s a thrill
Love overwhelming
Keeping me warm
I am safe in Jesus arms

When an illness tries to harm me
His healing comes along

I am safe in Jesus arms

When I dreary days
I just call on His name

Constant abiding

Keeping me warm

Time for a Choice

Oh what pleasures this world gives
Of what happiness I can live
Oh how silly is all of this
When you think of eternity

Life here on earth is time for choice
Ephemeral earth will be destroyed
We all will end with the sound of one voice
The judgment of God will arrive

And all who have chosen Christ as their Lord
Will end up in heaven their crowns will adorn
But those who rejected the one I adore
Will spend all their days in hell

I beg you today to make up your mind
Because this life determines life for all time
Once dead there is chance to change your mind
Choose Jesus and you will be saved
