My Warrior King

He comes riding on the clouds

Dressed in brilliant white

His robes flow free behind Him

As He breaks upon my sight

With crowns upon His head

Flames of fire in His eyes

The Word of God rides in

As a warrior in the skies

He is the King Almighty

Faithful and True

Coming in the last day

To rescue me and you

His armies ride behind Him

Clothed in robes of white

Their horses match the color

As they gallop with the Light

On His thigh, His name is written

King of Kings and Lord of Lords

A sharp sword in His mouth

To smite the nations with His word

He is the King Almighty

Faithful and True

Coming in the last day

To rescue me and you

An angel cried through heaven

Come and gather for the feast

And the birds all came to answer

Time to rid earth of the beast

The feast was set before them

Kings and armies of the earth

The battle waged and finished

The King of Kings the victory earned

He is the King Almighty

Faithful and True

Coming in the last day

To rescue me and you

His name is high above

Every other name or sound

Jesus is the Lord of all

He wears the royal crown

I’ll sing His praise forever

My mighty warrior King

He fights my battles for me

He rules o’er everything

A New Catch

When I was a kid, the water

Was one place I liked to play

Catching bullfrogs, skippping rocks

Was how we spect our day

And one more thing consumed our time

And sent us ’round the town

The thirll of catching one big fish

That I could call my own.

Iit wasn’t easy work too do

Those fish would fight real hard

To be quite honest, I was not

A fishermann at heart..

So fishing is a memory

That I don’t live today

The thought of stannding, waiting

Just doesn’t make my day.

However there’s anothe kind

Of fishing that I know

This kind is something I  can do

Wherever I might go

Jesus came to save me

And to set me free indeed

But He alos had a plan for me

To help find those in need.

He said I’d be a fisherman

The lost would be the catch

So now I fish ’bout every day

And hope someone to bless

Goal S etting 101

For years I’ve been a salesman

And done quite well indeed

They say that setting lofty goals

Can bring success to me

So I have always set my sights

On goals hard to attain

It makes me work much harder

Until that goal I’ve gained

But lofty goals are on thing

When they reach for worldly gain

I also  need to set my sights

On goals that don’t bring fame

Love my fellow Christian

And even more the lost

Bring joy to all I meet

Leave peace at all costs

Never say an unkind word

Never criticize

Be a friend to all around

Until the day I die

These are goals that I should have

Every single day

So set your sights on lofty things

And be a friend today.

Ode to America

Beautifully said by Susan Irene Fox. America is indeed a wonderful country, and she captures it well in this piece.

Between our Ocean coasts

are the most varied people

on the planet.

We are from every country

(whether or not we

chose to be here).

We are from every religion,

culture, color of skin

education level, economic class

and point of view.

We are like a family who

argues so passionately

spittle shoots out of our mouths.

Yet should anyone else insult us,

we defend each other

with all our might.

We love each other deeply,

but understand our frailties and our failures

even if we are loathe to admit them

to ourselves.

America is a country of

slow progress and

individual overcomers.

We take two steps forward

and one step back and

embrace new ideas with difficulty.

At the same time,

when push comes to shove,

we learn, we grow, and eventually

we move forward.

As we lean into hope,

into integrity, unity, grace and God,

we hold…

Don’t Get Burned

I love to camp in the summer

And cook on the open flames

The food is so delightful

When we cook that way

Once in a while I’ll slip up

And get too close to the fire

I feel the heat on my hand

And I know that’s not my desire

I just can’t imagine the suffering

Of eternity spent in Hell

The heat of those flames unceasing

For all who who missed Christ and fell

So today put your trust in Jesus

And ask Him into your heart

Avoid the flames of that fire

And make a brand new start

Dear Father  . . .

Thank You for forming me,
in my mother’s womb
thank You for being
my future Bridegroom.

Thank You for comforting me,
for always being near
thank You for calming
my deepest, darkest fear.

Thank You for being my song,
my strength and my salvation
thank You for saving me
from everlasting damnation.

Thank You for giving me,
Your Word to live by
thank You for collecting
all the tears that I cry.

Thank You for satisfying,
my hunger and thirst
thank You leading me
to seek Your kingdom first.

Thank You for loving me,
for Your mercy and favor
thank You for the gift of grace
through Your Son, my Savior.

Thank You for making,
my paths straight
thank You for showing me
to the narrow gate.

Thank You for Your Spirit,
who lives inside of me
thank You for the trust
I have placed…

Who’s Your Hero?

Would you rather have a hero

Whose skill was off the charts

He’d wow you with his game

He’d wow you as a star

But this hero only showed up

On this earth, and not near you

And the length of time he lived

Was just about as long as you

OR

Would you rather have a hero

Who died do give you life

And one that would be with you

Until the end of time

He will hear your every prayer

And walk beside you every day

Jesus is the hero

That I choose for all my days

What A Friend

What a friend, an awesome friend

He’s with me all my life

He promised He won’t leave me

Or forsake me for all time

We have in Jesus, wonderful Jesus

Came to earth, God’s only Son

Gave His life, His precious life

Now the victory has won

All our sins, every one

Are washed as white as snow

Now I walk free and complete

Each day He shows me how

And griefs to bear, h\He gives me peace

And joy has filled me heart

His blessings overwhelm me

They flow when day does start

What a privilege, an awesome right

Has mercy will always be

It’s amazing I can approach Him

King of Kings and Lord to me

To carry. bring to Him

As He’s seated on His throne

Up in heaven, ruling all

The universe is His alone

Everything, every little thing

All my worries and my doubts

When I give them all to Him

I can know He cares about

To God in prayer, heartfelt prayer

To the King of Kings on high

He hears every word I pray

And He answers in His time

Oh, what peace we often forfeit

There’s no need be distressed

When we call out to the Savior

He will always give His best
Oh, what needless pain we bear

There’s no need for suffering

When we cry in heart felt worship

He will come and mercy bring

All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer

I’m Not Into That!

I’m not really into digital

Or even much on vegetal

They just seem to leave my mind at such a loss

But I am into Jesus Christ my Lord

For He is the one that I adore

He freed me from sin forever at such a cost

For He gave His life at Calvary

To make away for you and me

To share in His soul salvation for all time

So please won’t you ask Him in today

He’ll hear you when you humbly pray

And you will make heaven yours with eternal life

Wonder or Wander?

When I was young I’d wander

Through life with little hope

The many days I squandered

Kept me on a slippery slope

My soul was caught in trouble

My mind was bent on fun

I sought drink on the double

I thought my days were done

I had no cares of future

I partied day and night

Then I became a searcher

And wandered toward the Light

The Light, I learned, was Jesus

I learned He died for me

I asked Him for forgiveness

From sin, I was set free

Now I wonder at His mercy

I marvel at His grace

One day to heav’n He’ll take me

And I will see His face

From wandering to wondering

This change brought peace and joy

There is no more meandering

My life I now enjoy

fI you are wondering through life

And wonder what to do

Why not give Him all your strife

And new life He’ll give you?
