The Fog Lifted

I used to live life in a fog

My mind was always cloudy

And smoke swirled ’round my head all day

My life was kind of rowdy.

But then I met my Savior

Jesus is His name

The fog lifted

Life was changed

i’ll never be the same

Now I’m free from sin and shame

I have reason to live

I’m free at last

From troublled past

My praise to Him I give

In response to the daily prompt Smoke

Now I’m Weclome

There was a time that I was not welcome

Banned is a better word

I had not accepted criteria

For eternity with the Lord

But then I asked His forgiveness

For all of of the  sins of my past

And He washed me whiter than whitest snw

And said enter into my rest

Now I’m not banned any longer

I’m welcome for all of time

I sure hope that you know the Savior

So you can share in my rhyme

From Lost to Found

Changes come and changes go

You never know what’s next

Hairstyles, fashion, colored toes

It’s hard to know what’s best

But all these changes just don’t last

They make no difference

And when the change has come to pass

Most people could care less

I know one change that is for real

A brilliant transformation

For when I came to Jesus Christ

He gave me Salvation

My life was changed in every way

His Word becamse my ration

As I applired it to my life

It gave me inspiration

From weak I now became strong

From poor He filled me up

I  was a sinner, shame throughout

He cleaned my inner cup

My life was bound for hell that day

But now I’m heaven bound

The transformation Jesus brought

Chnaged me from kost to found

Looking for Real

Reality is hard to come by

In today’s old, mixed up world

Who knows what to believe

In the new cycle whirl

Artificial stories

Making headlines pop

One will never know

When the rumor stops

But nothings artificial

About God’s love for you

If you want something really real

He’ll always be the truth

In response to the daily prompt Artificial

It’s His Time Now

I must admit that I don’t give

My time away a lot

There’s only so much in a day

I treasure all I’ve got

Invitations come and go

To volunteer my aid

But mostly I just pass them up

To do things that will pay

But when I was asked by Jesus

To volunteer for Him

I looked at that he offered me

A and found out it’s all win

He starts by taking sin away

And filled me with His love

Then He gave eternal life

When He rose up above

He gave me peace and joy and hope

He caused me to rejoice

So now I’ll volunteer each time

He calls me with His voice

Look to the Son

Long time ago

He put them in place

Millions of stars

Hung up in space

All bright and shiny

Twinkling above

Telling us nightly

Of His great love

Here on this earth

Millions of us

Looking above

Hoping for love

God loves you more

Thank you’ll ever know

Gave His own Son

His love to show

Don’t look at thee stars

To show you the way

Look at the Son

He loves you today

I Was Ready to Quit

I was once steeped in sin

And I had no way out

I was ready to quit

And then I heard about

How Jesus had died

On a cross long ago

To pay off my debt

Wash my sins white as snow

Now my sins ancient history

And I’m free from my shame

I know that my life

Will not be the same

Maybe you need some

Relief in your life

Just cry out to Jesus

He’s right by your side.

Make the Right Choice

I used to listen to music

That was considered underground

Acid Rock, gross in lyrics

Revolution and dissent all around

I didn’t know how it had shaped me

And the attitude I would live by

For I definitely had a bad spirit

And the music it just multiplied

Now I have changed all my music

Christian is the name of the game

And my thought life is oh, so much better

I can tell since music has changed

So if you find your thoughts are struggling

Maybe a change will help clear

Come up from those negative kyrics

And try Christian to bring you good cheer

The Greatest Victory

I’ve been waiting all day to write this

Fresh home from a visit to Doc’s

Now I can sit down and write it

Good news from the doctors report

I’ve been taking a med that brings trouble

Neuropathy bad in my feet

So the doctor is switching me off it

It’s a verdict that is oh so sweet

But  the greatest of victories I have

Is what I found in Jesus Christ

He paid all the debt for my sin

And gave me eternal life

So stop waiting for something better

Like a  very good doctors report

Today give your life to Jesus

His love will never fall short

In response to the daily prompt Waiting

The Hope of Heaven

It may seem far away to you

So your not in any hurry

Your lie is going on just fine

So you don’t need to worry

But Jesus said the hour is near

And no one knows the day

That He will come with trumpet sound

To take His own away

So if you don’t know Him as your Lord

It’s urgent that you ask Him

To come into your heart today

If you ask, He’ll come in

And you will have that peace of  mind

That you are not alone

He’ll give you hope for all of time

And heaven will be your home
