Safe In Your Arms

I can’t imagine what I’d do without you
You fill up all my days with Joy and peace
And when I am afraid
You send your precious race
To give me rest and set my mind at ease

I never will go anywhere without you
Your Spirit guides me down the path of life
And if I go astray
You gently show the way
To get me back where I can walk the line

This is my story
How God came from glory
To save an old sinner like me
He gave His life
As my sacrifice
So from sin I would be set free

Now I rejoice
For I hear His voice
Guiding me every day
His peace goes with me
His Word I believe
From His plan I never will stray

Wonderful Savior
Glorious Lord
Keep me in your loving arms
Grant me your grace
So I’ll see your face
That day when the trumpet alarms

I lift up my praise
To your merciful name

I’m amazed at what God can do
He can calm the wind and the waves
He can turn night into day
He can drive all the clouds away

I’m amazed at what God can do
He can make all the flowers bloom
He can cause the leaves to change hue
He can make seasons to be true

I’m amazed at what God can do
He can dry all the tears in my eye
He can bring peace when I question why
He can bring joy when sorrow is nigh

I’m amazed at what God can do
He can take all my sins away
He can heal all my aches and pains
He can stop all my guilt and shame

I’m amazed at what God can do
I will worship Him every day
He’s my Lord and my King
I owe Him everything
That is why I will give Him my praise

I’m resting in Jesus
Though trails may come
I know He will help me
I’ve already won
He gave me the victory
There in the cross
So I rest in Jesus
He paid the cost

Through every storm
The weaves may get high
But He will bring calm
The wind may be blowing
In troubling seas
But He’ll say be still
And bring me His peace

When my health goes bad
He paid for my healing
With stripes on His back
I’ll lift up my hands
I’ll give Him by praise
For I know my healing
Rests in His grace

When sorrows loom large
My world may be troubled
Yet He is in charge
When I can’t explain
The pain in my soul
He comes flooding in
And fills me with joy

Won’t you rest today
In His wonderful arms
He died for your sins
He died to bring calm
He died on that cross
So long ago
So that you can have rest
Wherever you go

I was shackled
Bound with chains
Heavy chains
They wrapped around me like a serpent
My mind was in a prison
A prison of sin
Of shame
Of doubt and sadness
I looed good on the outside
But these chains bound my spirit
My mind
My soul
My being
There seemed to be no escape
I could not loose the chains
I could not pick the lock that held them
I could not free myself
I was stuck in darkness
Solitude loomed over me
I sank deeper
And deeper
Into the depravity of my sin’
My thoughts
My actions
I felt surrounded by a force
Too strong for me to fight
It beat me down every day
I became weary
And depressed
I was ready to just give up

Then I met Jesus
I met the Savior
The Redeemer
I learned he died for me
For my sin
To take away my shame
And doubt
And guilt
He came to loose the chains that bound me
He came to fight my battle for me
He came to bring victory
All I had to do was call His name
Confess my sins
Repent of my ways
Put on His yoke
Make Him my Lord
And follow Him
The rest of my days
He would free me
He would fight for me
He would give me strength
And joy
And peace
He would guide me safely through life
He would teach me His ways
He would become my friend
Always with me
Always helping me

Jesus, I’m yours
I’, all yours
I trusted in you
And you set me free
Free from my shackles
Free from the chains of sin
You set me feet on solid ground
Turned my life around
Gave me all this by grace
A free gift
No charge
You just want me
All of me
Every thought
Every action
Every word
For your glory
I thank you Lord
For your mercy
And your grace
On a sinner such as I
I didn’t deserve any of it
‘Yet you loved me anyway
You sought me out
You pulled me out
I’m forever grateful
Forever grateful to you

The Lord is with me
Wherever I go
He is before me and behind me
He is to my right and to my left
He is above me and He guides my steps
If I should turn
He turns with me
And guides me back on the path
If I should stumble
He steadies my feet
And gently holds me up
Even if I fall
He is there to pick me up
And set me on my feet again
And if I tire
He is there to carry me

The Lord is with me
He knows my every thought
Whether good or bad
His Holy Spirit helps me see
When I have not thought right
He guides me to the truth
His wisdom comes from above
He helps me understand
Where I went wrong
Then He gives me His word
Which transforms my mind
So that I might speak with grace
To build up those around me
I listen for His voice
To tell me the words to say
Day in and day out

The Lord is with me
He knows my every deed
He knows when I do good
He knows when I do wrong
He forgives me when I mess up
Then he shows me the right way
The way to ask forgiveness
Of those I may have wronged
He keeps me from being offended
Then I ask forgiveness
When I have wronged others
He shows me the needy
So that I might help them
He shows me the sick
So that I may lay hands on them
Then He will heal them

The Lord is with me
Thus I will praise Him
I will lift my voice
I will raise my hands
I will look for His face
I will sing Hallelujah
Hosanna in the highest
Honor glory and power
To the Lamb upon the throne
Holy is He
High and lifted up
Worthy of my praise
Worthy of all honor
Forevermore
I will praise Him
For the Lord is with me
