I’m not sure why you put up with me
I am not always following you
I turn to the left
Or I turn to the right
I’m ashamed of the things that I do

Yet in the midst of my wandering
Your Spirit still seems to work
He straightens my steps
Puts me back on the path
So I’m running right back to you

Your mercy never gives up on me
Never rests on my behalf

In your wonderful love
To draw me closer to you
