Words From My Savior

I open my eyes 
And what do I see
My Blessed Savior 
Looking at me

A smile on His face
His eyes open wide
He takes hold of my hand
And sits down at my side

“Hello Son” He says slowly
“I've so much to say
I want to guide you 
Through all of your days.

I want to tell you
Of my wondrous plans
Drawn up I'm heaven
They'll help you to stand

You see, trials will come
And sorrows you'll know
These things are a part
Of what makes you grow

There’ll even be times
You'll be sick or in pain
But what I allow
Is there for your gain

The problem that comes
And you don’t understand
Is that you think these things
Are not in my plan.

I implore you, my son
When you take time to.pray
That you also take time
To listen each day

So often you fill
Your prayers up with words
That you can't hear me speaking
My soft, gentle words

In my words are your comfort 
Your peace and your joy 
So.please don't miss out
Take time to enjoy

Then He got up and left
And the lesson was taken
When I.pray words don't matter
It's the listening that makes it

Restore The Land

The enemy gathers daily
Just before the dawn
To plan a way to take you down
They gather up the gossip 
Rumors and lies
And start a chain to spread it all around

Wording carefully crafted
And very neatly spun 
Their web of deception knows no shame 
The little minions gather
One by one they flee
To the human destination with their name

The saints of God gather
Just before the dawn
To plan a way to lift you to the King
They sound aloud their prayers
For healing and strength
To fight the battles this day's going to bring

Interceding Prayers
And praises to our God 
Their voices sing a song of victory
The angels gather round
To protect the saints of God
From any and all attacks of the enemy

With which of these groups
Do you work today?
The one lifting up?
Or the one breaking down?

Because as Christians we seem
To take both sides in stride
One minute we tear up
And the next we edify.

This ought not to be
In our lives as His church
We ought to be always
Lifting up those who hurt

Gossip and tale bearing
Have no place in the body
Putting others down for fun
Is an affront to our Lord

So come on church, rise up 
Let the good words win out
Let the body of Christ 
Rise up with a shout
Encourage each other
Pray for the sick

Help out the lonely
Make your faith stick
If all of us would
Take the time for this plan
The church would rise up
And restore this land



I Will

I will praise Him
No matter how I feel 
I will give Him glory 
Because His love is real

I will praise Him 
Every single day
Worship Him forever
Lift His Holy name

If I praise Him just for blessings
My praise will oft fall short 
Because some days just bring trials
It's a promise from His word

If I praise Him just for healing
There'll be times I'll not sing out
Because illness can be lingering
And it may just steal my shout

But when I praise Him just because 
He's the Lord of heaven and earth
There is nothing that can blind me
To all that He is worth

He is more than blessings 
More than healings, 
More than life.
He's the great creator
Of the earth
And all the skies.

So the next time your day isn't
What you planned for it to be
Just lift your hands and praise Him 
And His glory you shall see

And all your trials and troubles 
Will soon seem oh so small
The God of all creation
Is the master of them all.

The Power of Prayer

If you want to touch God
Each and every day
Then all you have to do is pray
If you want to reach Jesus
Each and every day
Then all you have to do is pray

It’s really not too difficult
Or hard to comprehend
Just talk to Him like any other friend
He’s always got an ear
Open to your heartfelt words
He will listen close to every prayer you send

Prayer is the answer
To every earthly need
It’s the way to move the heavens and the earth
Prayer is the weapon
God has given us to use
Whenever there’s a need that we observe

Prayer heals the sick
Prayer frees the captive
Prayer casts out demons
Prayer brings the victory 
Prayer grows our faith
Prayer builds the church

More powerful than lightning
More effective than attack
Prayer stops the enemy cold
So easy to accomplish
So successful to employ
Prayer is a weapon that is bold

Let’s band together church
And really make a difference
Let’s take back this world the devil stole away
Just find a quiet place
And take a little time
To sit before the Lord and pray

His Glory

I have seen His glory 
Shining from above
'Tis the ancient story 
Of abiding love

I have felt His glory 
Filling up my heart
I know He adores me
Never will depart

I have praised His glory 
Worshipped His sweet name 
I will praise Him only 
Age to age the same

I have touched His glory 
With every earnest prayer
He answers His way only
And tells me He is there

His glory is amazing
His glory is divine 
His glory is deserving 
Of every praise of mine

His glory is eternal
His glory is so true
His glory is love's journal 
From heaven down to you.

God Covered It

God formed man from dust 
Breathed life into him
And when he chose to disobey 
God covered it

God asked Abram to obey 
By giving his own Son
When God saw he'd follow through
God covered it
David had Uriah killed
Just to take His wife 
When Nathan pointed out his sin
God covered it

Man has sinned throughout time
He prefers to disobey 
But when his cry goes out to God
God covers it

Finally God saw that man
Would never get it right
So He set His plan in motion
A covering for all time

Because God So loved to world
He sent His only son
To die upon across
To cover all my wrong

So now when I do wrong
And disobey His law
I look up to that cross
And God covers it all

I need Jesus
More today than yesterday

When life takes a turn
And I can't discern
The path to return
I need Jesus

When sorrow arrives 
And I want to hide
From sadness in life

When peace can't be found
And troubles abound
And chaos is loud
I need Jesus

When joy goes away
And I have dismal days
When every smile fades
I need Jesus

And every time I call on Him
He's swiftly by my side 
Bringing His sweet mercy and His grace
I know I can depend on Him

To constantly abide 
He always gets me back to the right place
My need for Him is more than life
It's more than breath or blood 

My need for Him is deep inside my heart
So give me Jesus every time
The storms of life get rough
And every time He'll give me a fresh start

Love Inescapable

Hard times hit us all
Even happy people fell
Even we have days that cause us harm
But when we get real low 
We know just where to go
Back to our Father's loving arms
He holds His arms out wide
He's ever at my side
He's there to pick me up when I fall down
And if I bruise my soul
He heals me 'til I'm whole
And sets my feet on solid ground

He loves me
More than anything
He loves me
So amazing 
He loves me
Even when my love grows cold
He loves me
Through my troubled days
He loves me
When I've lost my way
He loves me

I cannot escape His love
His grace will cover me
Whenever I'm in need
His blessings come in every size and shape
His mercy overflows 
My selfish, prideful soul
And helps those things to quietly escape
His sweet perfection slides
Into this heart of mine
Without me even knowing it's His hand
And then one day I se
His humility in me
And I realize that this is what He planned

He fills me with joy

Today the Lord had mercy on me
He kept away the enemy 
And reminded me that I'm set free
Again

Today the Lord has blessed me much
All day I felt His spirits touch
His presence was around so much
Again

Today His grace filled me with peace
He gave my soul a sweet release 
All day I felt calm and at ease
Again

Again and again He's there for me
He always meets me at me need
He listens to my prayerful pleas
Again, and again, and again

Today He flooded me with love
As vast as all the stars above
And I can know that it will come 
Again

Again His mercy will be mine 
Again His blessing He'll assign 
Again He'll give me grace each time
Again

But high above all these great things
The greatest gift that He does bring 
Is His great love, of that I'll sing
Again, and again and again




High Above

And lift our voice
The King is on the throne 
He Reigns on high 
His glory shines
And He calls us His own.
Lift up His name
Shout out His praise
 
He rules in majesty
He's high above
All other gods
And sets his heart on me
He sends His mercy to my side
Each time I trip and fall
Such mercy is too much for me
I don't deserve it all

His grace pours blessing in my life 
That overwhelms my soul 
I can't contain the gratitude 
That He has made me whole
But greatest of the gifts He shows 
Is His great love for me
He gave His life upon a cross
That day at Calvary

This love is so amazing 
So wonderful and strong
That every moment I'm awake
I sing my worship song
Let's all rejoice
