The Angels Cry

 I had a dream the other night 
 Of waking in a field
 Twas a chilly night and stars shone bright
 The silence was surreal 
  
 Then I heard a distant noise
 Like bleating from a sheep
 I followed it and heard a voice 
 Saw shepherds shunning sleep
  
 They gathered round a dim lit fire
 To keep their bodies warm
 I asked them if they might be tired
 They said sheep mist be warned
  
 I sat with them this quiet night 
 I felt my dream was done 
 When suddenly an angel choir
 Came shining like the sun
  
 We all stood there in great fright
 Not knowing what to do
 An angel said we should not fear
 Then the angels call rang out
  
 Glory glory to our God
 Glory in the highest
 A child is born in Bethlehem
 A King for all the ages

God Is With Me

 God is with me In the morning
 When the sun begins to rise
 God is with me in the evening
 When I lay and close my eyes
 God is with me while I’m working
 Giving wisdom for the day
 God is with me when I’m walking
 Guiding me along His way
 God is with me when I’m resting
 Giving peace at the right time
 God is with me when I’m troubled
 Let’s me know He’s right beside
 God is with me when I’m shaken
 By the troubles of this world
 God is with me as a refuge
 When the darts of doubt are hurled
 God is with me all day long
 God is with me in the night
 God is with me in the darkness
 Giving me His guiding light
 God is with me when I’m sleeping

 All alone and out of place

 Through His word
 Through His Spirit
 Through other people
 He cries out for me to listen
 Listen to His voice when I read the word
 He will speak wisdom to me
 He will speak knowledge to me
 He will show me truth
 The truth of His word
 The truth that will set the captive free
 Open the blind eyes of my heard
 Open my deaf ears
 Bring me back to life
 Help me to walk again
 If only I would listen
 If only I would take time to hear.

 His ear inclines to me

 I don’t have to wonder
 What tomorrow may bring
