Worthy Are You My Lord

As I wake up and rise out of my bed
I remember the words you’ve often said
You said you’d be with me everyday
All the way

So I lift up my hands above my head
I remember the words I’ve often said
I will take time to lift to you my praise
All my praise. All my praise

CHORUS
Worthy are you my Lord
Worthy of all honor and glory
Worthy are you my Lord
Worthy of all power and praise

Each day passes faster than the last
As I listen close to all that you have asked
I will follow you every single day
All the way. All the way

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Not a day goes by that I will not worship you
Not a night goes by without a word of praise
I lift my hands to heaven
I lift my voice up high
All of creation testifies

CHORUS

If you’d like to hear how this goes, I recorded a rough version on my Church Facebook Page  here is the link:

I Will Praise Him

I will praise Him
I will lift my hands and lift my voice
And I will praise Him
Not because of anything He’s done
Not because He healed me
or because He delivered me
or because He provides for me
or because He protects me
I will praise Him because He is
He is the creator of all things
He is the maker and placer of the stars
He is the master of all that lives
He has a plan designed for all of the universe
and for every animal
and for every person
even me
I don’t deserve a thing He does for me
I don’t deserve anything He has already done for me
I don’t deserve the plan He has for me
He does it all because He loves me
So I will praise Him
Not for anything
I’ll just praise Him
In every situation
I will praise Him
Yes, I will praise Him

I read Psalm 68:3-4 this morning and it is the inspiration for this free verse poem. What it says is “Let the righteous rejoice” It does not give a reason that we should rejoice. Just that we should rejoice. We should not need a reason to praise Him. We should just rejoice, day in and day out, in good or bad, in hunger or sorrow, in sickness or pain. These are all times we should praise Him. It’s easy to praise Him when things are going well. But the true Christian should never have to wait until things are good before they praise Him. They should praise Him despite the circumstances. If you truly love Him and are devoted to Him, there should never be a time that you are not rejoicing! There should never be a time you are not praising Him

Psalm 150:6 KJV
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord

Alive In Me

Holy is He
Holy is He
Sweet Lamb of God
Risen Indeed
High and lifted up
For all the world to see
Jesus Christ alive in me

Worthy is He
Worthy is He
Lion of Judah
Victory indeed
Seated on the throne
For all eternity
Jesus Christ alive in me.

There is none like Him. No one came before Him. No one else helped in the creation of our world. No one else formed man with His own hands. No one else breathed life into that man. No one else left His throne in heaven to come to earth as a man. No on else was beaten, bruised, mocked, spit on, received a crown of thorns and was crucified for the sins of the world. No one has ever lived who has risen from the dead. No one has had a larger affect on all mankind. No one has left the legacy He has. No one has touched as many lives as He has. No one else can claim the throne in heaven. No one else will be coming back with His armies. No one else will judge the world. No one else will rule forever and ever. Jesus is the only One.

He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the bright and morning star and the sweet Rose of Sharon. He is the wonderful counselor, the prince of peace and the everlasting Father. He is my Savior, my Redeemer, my deliverer, my provider, my protector and my Lord. He will never leave me or forsake me. He will dry my tears and ease my fears. He will bring peace in the storm and rivers in the desert. He is my rest and my release. He does all things for my good and he turns every trial into triumph. He forgives me and washes me with His love. He is Jesus Christ, God’s only Son.

John 1:29 King James Version (KJV)
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Worship Him Alone

Holy is the Lord
Seated on the throne
Clothed in royal majesty
Worship Him alone

Holy is the Lamb
Worshiped and adored
Let His name be magnified
Jesus Christ my Lord

Jesus, my Lord
Jesus, my Lord
I lift my hands up to the sky
I lift my voice to magnify
Your name is worthy of my praise
Jesus Christ my Lord

All I want to do is praise Him. From the mornings dawn to the setting sun, I lift my hands in praise. As I gaze up at the wonders in the glorious stars, I can’t help but stand in awe of His creation. I lift my voice to magnify His name, His wondrous name. he is not seated on His throne in heaven. He paid the price for my sin and has been raised by His Father, who loved Him. His Father sent Him to show how much he loved each one of us. He loves all of us so much. He loves you more than you can imagine. He loves me more than I can fathom. That is why I praise Him. That is why I glorify His name. That is why I sing this song today, and each song He gives me every day. Because He is worthy of my praise. Not because He provides for me, protects me, delivers me, saves me and does so much for me. I praise Him simply because he is worthy.

Psalm 8:9
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Be Unto You

From the rising sun ‘til the new day dawns,
I lift my praise to thee.

From the mountains high to the oceans deep,
I lift my praise to thee.

All is yours. All I see.
I will bow down at your feet.

Honor, Glory, Power and dominion
Be unto you. Be unto you.
Praise and worship, all my ovation
Be unto you. Be unto you.

There is no one else in this universe worthy of our worship. People worship all kinds of things and all kinds of people. They go to places of worship and sing worship songs. They lift their voices and bow their heads in reverence to a variety of so-called gods. They pledge their allegiance and put their trust in a variety of hopeful ventures and pursuits. Many are so consumed by work, or play, or leisure or even ministry that they miss the whole point of our existence. We were made to worship. We were made to have fellowship with God. He desires to walk in the garden with us and not have us hide our face from Him. He desires that we be honest with Him and not try to shift the blame. He desires that we obey the simplest of rules because there are so few that really matter. Yet we pile on rules and laws just like the Pharisees did in Jesus time. Jesus only said we “must” do two things. Be born again and worship Him in spirit and in truth. Simple truths.

Are you caught up in worshiping something or someone other than Jesus? Are you bound up by rules and laws that say you must do this or that in order to gain your salvation? Did Jesus say you must do it? I implore you today to look to the Lamb of God, slain from the beginning of time for your sins. Worship Him alone!

Revelation 5:13 King James Version
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

I Worship You

With all my heart and all my soul
I worship you. I worship you
With all my mind and all my strength
I worship you. I worship you

You are the truth, the light, the way
You give me hope for every day
Your joy and peace are here to stay
I worship you. I worship you

Holy, holy Lord
Worthy of my praise
Honor, glory power and might
I sing to you. I sing to you

This world worships a lot of gods. In this time of great tribulation due to COVID-19, people are scrambling to find hope. Their gods have been taken away from them. First to go was sports. One by one, seasons were cancelled or postponed, bringing a halt to television sports broadcasts. The idols of the game were set on the sidelines, hoping to one day be back on their lofty perch. Second was entertainment. With sports closing down, Hollywood soon followed. Movie theaters, concerts, zoos, Broadway shows all came to a halt. The stars who people idolized were set on the sidelines. Next was leisure travel. Campgrounds, hotels, theme parks, national parks were all closed. Restaurants closed their doors to become delivery specialists The allure of Mickey Mouse faded in the dust. Even our churches were told not to meet. Then our money was affected as businesses all over closed their doors leaving us all with a sense of fear to even go outside. And lastly our freedom was taken as, state by state, shelter in place orders were handed out. All these things we idolized.

God still sat on the throne. He was always there, will always be there, and is there today. What better time to lift up our voices in praise to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer has not changed. This world around us will slowly get back to normal. I hope and pray that during this time you have come to realize that all you can really depend on is Jesus. He is worthy of our praise!

Revelation 4:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Praise and Worship

Hallelujah to My King

One night while I was sleeping
My pillow soft and warm
I felt the Holy presence of the Lord

I stood with great awareness
That He was there with me
Then I sang Hallelujah to my King

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah to my King
Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah to my King

In the morning I so often hear Him speak to me. It may be through a praise song or in the quiet of the sunrise, but His voice is very recognizable. It may be in the noon day sun or when the stars are sparkling and bright that He would call my name. He often speaks these words to me in rhyme and asks me to write them down. Often He gives me the whole song at once, like He did with this one. As I walk along the old railroad tracks, which have been made into a bike trial, I lift my hands and sing the songs He gives me. Such joy fills me heart as I thank Him for giving me words to share with you.

What is God saying to you today? I can guarantee that He is speaking to you every day, and quite often during the day. Do you hear Him? Do you try to hear Him. Or are you so caught up in this world that the voices here drown out the voice of God. Don’t you hear that voice telling you what is right and what is wrong? Don’t you hear Him whispering which way to turn? He is always there. We too often are not still enough to hear!

Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God

I Will Lift My Praise In Song

God you are holy
God you are righteous
God you are worthy of my praise

God you are mercy
God you are gracious
I will lift up your holy name

So I will lift my hands and lift my voice
To worship you and rejoice
You are my rock and fortress strong
I lift my praise in song

When we look into the heavens we see His glory. When a thunderstorm comes through and the rainbow appears in the sky we see His glory. When the sun starts to set and He paints the sky, we see His glory. From the morning dew to the cool night air, His presence is all around us. Minute by minute, day after day, He never ceases to provide everything we need for life. The air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink all come from Him. The sun that heats, the snow that cools and the wind that dries are all His handiwork. There is nowhere on earth that escapes His presence. There is nowhere His glory is absent. In the deepest depths of the ocean there is beauty man has hardly seen. From the loftiest of mountains spectacular views greet all of mankind. His glory is all around us, His presence surrounds us and His unfailing love will never leave us. We should never cease:6 to praise Him and give Him the glory He deserves. It doesn’t matter what others may say, think, or do. I will praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:6
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord

Jesus Life

Greatest Gift of Love

Holy is the Lamb
Slain for all of man
Came to set us free
Give us victory

He laid down His life
The greatest sacrifice
Then rose again
Rose again to give me life

Holy is the Lamb
Holy is the Lamb
Holy s the Lamb that was slain for us

Jesus Son of God
Greatest gift of love
Came down from heaven
Died on a cross
Greatest gift of love

From the very beginning of time, sin has been covered by a blood sacrifice. When Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and realized they were naked for the first time, they were suddenly ashamed. God was not pleased with their sin and used animal skins to make them a covering. God Himself set a pattern for the covering of sin. We see Abraham almost sacrificing His son before God provided a lamb. When Israel was in Egypt, it took the blood of an innocent lamb, which had to be swiped on the top and sides of the door, to keep the death angel away. In Leviticus, we read of all the sacrifices the people had to make to cover their sin. It’s just the way God planned it from the beginning. “Without the shedding of blood, there is no
remission of sin” (Hebrews 9:22). Man can do nothing about removing their sin except cover it by the blood.

Jesus is the Lamb of God, sent down to this earth to be our sacrifice for sin. His blood covers us, just like the animal skins covered Adam and Eve in the old testament. The difference now is that Jesus removes our sin completely, washes us white a snow, and casts our sin as far as the East is from the West. He is the Lamb of God, seated on the throne in heaven just waiting for us to come home. Do you know Him today? Have you asked Jesus for forgiveness? Have you asked Him to wash away your sin? This is a personal decision. Please make it today!

Romans 10:13 King James Version
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
