Shout to the Lord

Sing out His praise

He is magnificent

In all of His ways

 

Dance for the Lord

With a heart full of joy

He is Amazing

And, Oh so much more

 

He formed the earth

Divided the seas

Set up the sun

He created the trees

Brought up the beasts

And birds of the air

Then He made man

His image He shared

And when He was done

He said all was good

Creation was done

It is wonderful

 

Give to the Lord

All of your praise

Worship His holiness

Lift up His name

 

Raise up your hands

Lift up your eyes

He is exalted

God only wise

 

Came down from heaven

Gave up His throne

Suffered and beaten

Left all alone

 

Forgiving my sin

Washing it white

Filling my life

With His glorious light

Placed in the tomb

Sealed with a stone

Rose up to life

Will soon take me home

Taking my shame

My quilt and my fear

Filled me with peace

He dries every tear

 

I will rejoice

In Jesus my Lord

Day after day

He’s the one I adore

 

Forever and ever

I’ll praise His name

For He is worthy

Of all of my praise

It’s His Time Now

I must admit that I don’t give

My time away a lot

There’s only so much in a day

I treasure all I’ve got

 

Invitations come and go

To volunteer my aid

But mostly I just pass them up

To do things that will pay

 

But when I was asked by Jesus

To volunteer for Him

I looked at that he offered me

A and found out it’s all win

 

He starts by taking sin away

And filled me with His love

Then He gave eternal life

When He rose up above

 

He gave me peace and joy and hope

He caused me to rejoice

So now I’ll volunteer each time

He calls me with His voice

I couldn’t ask the Lord for more

Of His amazing grace

Or His everlasting mercy

Or His loving soft embrace

 

I couldn’t ask the Lord for more

Of His abiding peace

Or His overwhelming joy

Or His Spirit of release

 

He gives and gives then gives some more

And all He asks of me

Is to follow in His footsteps

And His disciple be

 

I couldn’t ask for blessings

Because He gives me oh so much

I couldn’t ask for miracles

I’m surrounded by His touch

 

But I can ask for guidance

That He lead me every day

And I could ask for wisdom

That I follow in His way

 

I can ask forgiveness

When I wander from His plan

And I can ask protection

In the palm of His hand

 

He gives and gives then gives some more

And all He asks of me

Is to follow in His footsteps

And His disciple be

 

There’s nothing He won’t do for me

To follow in His ways

He’ll walk with me and talk with me

For all my coming days

 

So I will lift my praises

To my Savior and my Lord

Because He’s with me forever

He’s the one that I adore

Look to the Son

He put them in place

Millions of stars

Hung up in space

All bright and shiny

Twinkling above

Telling us nightly

Of His great love

 

Here on this earth

Millions of us

Looking above

Hoping for love

God loves you more

Thank you’ll ever know

Gave His own Son

His love to show

To show you the way

Look at the Son

He loves you today

I Was Ready to Quit

I was once steeped in sin

And I had no way out

I was ready to quit

And then I heard about

How Jesus had died

On a cross long ago

To pay off my debt

Wash my sins white as snow

 

Now my sins ancient history

And I’m free from my shame

I know that my life

Will not be the same

Maybe you need some

Relief in your life

Just cry out to Jesus

He’s right by your side.

It’s hard to find the words to say
How much I love my Lord
Every day that passes by
I love Him more and more

He’s with me everywhere I go
He never leaves my side
I know I can depend on Him
For in me He abides

He talks to me with loving word
He tells makes me feel so calm
Whenever I am feeling low
He lifts me in His arms

Wonderful He is to me
Marvelous His ways
I will praise His mighty name
Every single day

He comforts me when times are hard
He sends the Spirit in
I can feel His awesome touch
As He dwells deep within

His peace does overwhelm me
Every time I turn around
There’s nothing like the peace of God
To make you safe and sound

His joy is so unspeakable
Even when times aren’t good
I feel it flooding to my soul
Like a rapid running brook

Wonderful He is to me
Marvelous His ways
I will praise His mighty name
Every single day

His mercy and His grace come last
But certainly not least
They’re always there protecting me
From the enemy
And I can so depend on them
To carry me each day
I can’t imagine life without
His mercy and His grace

Make the Right Choice

I used to listen to music

That was considered underground

Acid Rock, gross in lyrics

Revolution and dissent all around

 

I didn’t know how it had shaped me

And the attitude I would live by

For I definitely had a bad spirit

And the music it just multiplied

 

Now I have changed all my music

Christian is the name of the game

And my thought life is oh, so much better

I can tell since music has changed

 

So if you find your thoughts are struggling

Maybe a change will help clear

Come up from those negative kyrics

And try Christian to bring you good cheer

Note:  I wrote this back in 1978 when I was preparing to move from Massachusetts to Iowa to begin a new life serving the Lord.

Thank you, Jesus,

For the love you share with me –

For the love that’s always in my heart.

That I’ll always have you inside of me

How many days go by

When I seldom hear a sigh;
