This Is my Plea

I am not able to stand without your mercy.  

I am not able to walk without your grace

I cannot see beyond the dawn of each new day.  

Without you as my guide and my strength



I am not strong enough to face the challenge

I am not brave enough to fight the fight

I cannot understand the trials that come my way

Without your mercy and your grace



This is my prayer. This is my plea

I come before you down on my knees

Waiting and watching, hoping you'll see

How much I need you.

How much I need you, Lord



I cannot see the end of this trial

I do not know how it all will turn out

I can only trust in you, my God

To walk me through this fight

By my self I am lost in this world of unknowns

Desperately trying to figure life out

Then your Spirit comes in and calms my soul

And I can rest in your embrace

Hungry for your Word

Hungry for your Spirit

Hungry for a touch from you

Hungry for the bread of life

Hungry.



So I wait on you Lord

Patiently I wait

Determined I wait

Expecting I wait

I wait on you.



I am thirsty.

Thirsty for that living water

Thirsty for the latter rain

Thirsty for the water turned to wine

Thirsty for your mercy

I am thirsty.



So I wait on you Lord

Patiently I wait

Determined I wait

Expecting I wait

I wait on you.



I know you will hear

I know you will answer

I know your answer will be good

Even if it's not the answer I desire

I know you seek only my good



I love you, Lord.  

I praise you, Lord.

 I honor you, Lord 

I adore you, Lord

I wait on you.

This day and every day

You are worthy of my praise



When I open my eyes 

And arise from my sleep

You are worthy of my praise

When I prepare for the day

And take my morning meal

You are worthy of my praise



When I arrive at work

And begin my daily tasks

You are worthy of my praise



When I stop for my lunch

From the bounty you provide

You are worthy of my praise



As i continue through the day

And finish my days work

You are worthy of my praise



As i sit down at home

And rest from a long day

You are worthy of my praise



As I lay my head to rest

And close my eyes in sleep\

You are worthy of my praise

.

It matters not if the sun is shining

It matters now if t's dry or wet

It matters not if I'm healthy or sick

It matters not if I'm rich or poor

It matters not what the day brings to me

It matters not what others my do or say

You are always and forever

Worthy of my praise.

Just before the dawn

All is quiet and calm

I sit and think 

About the things

That God has done for me



He has saved me from the depths of sin

Given me new life within

Washed my sins as white as snow

Buried my shame below

Sanctified me, made me whole

Oh what an awesome God I serve



Just before the dawn

Before my clocks alarms

I can't believe

The strength I feel

Knowing God is here



He holds me in His loving arms

Keeps me safe from all concerns

Gives me health when my strength wanes

Never leaves me with my pains

Hears my every thought and prayer

Oh what an awesome God I serve



Just before the dawn

I sit here and I yawn

I know He's here

He hears my prayer

And answers every time

Oh what an awesome God I serve

I Exalt You, Lord

I exalt you, Lord.

I lift up your name with my whole heart.

I honor you with my first words every morning

And until my last breath at night.

You watch over me from on high.

You keep me safe in times of trouble.

You provide my every need.

You bring me help when I am weak

And strength when I am weak.

I look to your word to guide m

And I trust your Holy Spirit to show me which way to turn. 

He keeps me safe from all harm.

Thank you, Lord for looking over me.

Thank you, Lord for looking over my family.

Thank you, Lord for looking over my grandchildren.

Thank you, Lord for abundant blessings and friends.

May I continually lift your name on high

And make my presence known to those around me.

May I never be shy or bashful about my faith.

I exalt you, Lord.
Trust in God

I Can Trust in Him

The goodness of the Lord

Is watching over me

Keeping me from harm

Holding back the enemy

He holds me in His arms

And always holds me close

I know I can trust in Him



The mercy of the Lord

It covers all my sins

It cleanses my iniquities

And makes me whole within

His mercy overwhelms me

Each time I go astray

I know I can trust in Him



The grace of the Lord

Is what I love the most

He gives me all His treasures

And He never lets me go

I bask amid His riches

As they are so freely mine

I know I can trust in Him

May your thoughts be my thoughts

May your dreams be my dreams
May your words be my words
May your faith be my faith
May your patience be my patience
May your love be my love
May your compassion be my compassion
May your desire be my desire
May your joy be my joy
May your peace be my peace
May your righteousness be my righteousness
May your faithfulness be my faithfulness
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever

And you're feeling so alone

Shine on!



When the day starts out in misery

And clouds obscure the sun

Shine on!



If you cannot see tomorrow

If your yesterday was sad

Pick your chin up off your chest

And Shine on



If the darkness overtakes you

And the outlook seems too bad

Leave all bad things in the past

And shine on!



Shine on in the darkness

Sine on in the light

Shine on when the enemy

Seems strong in the fight

Shine on through the storm

Shine on through the night



Shine on even when you think

Your smaller than your plight

You have the light within you

For all the world to see

Let it shine like the candle

On the hill so all can see.



Shine on through the battle

Shine on to lead the way

Shine on so others know that God

Is in their life to stay

And when others see your light

Give the glory all to God

So that others turn to Jesus

And now they can Shine on!

Who stands beside me each day I'm alive

Who makes me smile and gives me life

Who stirs the wind and brings a sunrise

Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords



Who holds my hand in the midst of a storm

Who walks beside me and keeps my heart warm

Who comes to comfort when I am alone

Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords



Who has my back when trouble comes 'round

Who keeps me safe when I'm out of town

Who Knows my past and still calls me His own

Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords



He comforts me, He keeps me

He loves me, He guides me

He leads me, He teaches me

He talks with me and walks with me

Jesus King of Kings, and Lord of Lords



He's not some monarch far away

He walks with me each and every day

He Hears every word when I take time to pray

He's Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords



I will lift up my voice to praise Him today

And my life I owe Him every day

For He saved my soul and showed me the way

He is Jesus King of Kings and Lord of Lords

If I Should Lose My Wife Today

If I should lose my wife today

My life would be in disarray

I don’t know what I’d do instead

If God should take her home



She’s more than just a wife to me

More than friend or family

She’s heaven sent from God to me

Beside her I belong



Her smile is what I’d long to see

Her loss would leave a vacancy

My heart would suffer desperately

Without her by my side



Her laugh, her look, her favorite show

Would daily in my memory grow

Until the tears began to flow

Because she’s not here to share



I‘d miss the way she played those keys

I’d miss the way she’d scowl at me

I’d miss her most amid the pleas

Of grandkids wondering why



She has more friends than I can count

Her laugh fills up a room, no doubt

Her life was always all about

How she could lend a hand



If God should take my wife today

I’d bow my head and say a prayer

Help me be strong and peaceful stay

‘Til you should call me home.
