Worship the King
Honor and glory we bring
This is our offering
For the King
Worship the King
He provides everything
This is the song we sing
For the King
Worthy. You are worthy
Jesus you are worthy
Worthy, oh so worthy
Worthy is the King
Worship the King
Honor and glory we bring
This is our offering
For the King
Worship the King
He provides everything
This is the song we sing
For the King
Worthy. You are worthy
Jesus you are worthy
Worthy, oh so worthy
Worthy is the King
Honestly
I don’t know why you love me
Why you care so much for me
Why you gave your life for me
On a hill called Calvary
Honestly
I try to do my best for you
I try to live my life for you
I try with all my heart and soul
To give you all I have
And give you all my praise
All that is within me wants to worship you
Wants to lift your name on high
Every minute
Everyday
I lift your name
I lift your name
Jesus, Son of God
You came to free me from this sin
That dwells so deep within
Jesus, Lamb of God
You became my sacrifice
Giving me eternal life
All that is within me wants to worship you
Wants to lift your name on high
Every minute
Everyday
I lift your name
I lift your name
I rise to greet you Jesus
I rise to give you praise
I rise before the dawning
To lift your holy name
I rise to read your word
Which satisfies my soul
I rise to intercede
For friends to be made whole
I rise to thank you Jesus
For your amazing grace
I rise to honor you
Your mercy I embrace
I rise this day with worship
Streaming from my heart
I promise you Lord Jesus’
I never will depart
I rise and sing Hosanna
Hallelujah to your name
Glory power and honor
I rise to give you praise
I heard a bell this morning
It sounded out aloud
And then I saw an angel
Descending in a cloud
He said my name is Gabriel
I come to bring you news
Jesus Christ the Son of God
Is coming back real soon
He will come here suddenly
No warning will be given
In one blink of an eye His children
Will join Him in heaven
From this day forward rest assured
The time is coming near
So let your voice give witness
For all the world to hear
They must all confess their sins
And turn from their foul ways
They must accept Him as their Lord
And do good all their days
A trumpet sounded loud and clear
Then Gabriel spoke these words of cheer
May peace and joy rule all in your heart
And from His grace do not depart
With that He vanished in the air
The clouds he came in disappeared
I bowed my head and said a prayer
That I’d be faithful to declare
The King is coming soon my friend
Make sure your heart is right with Him
Over and over and over again
I try to find peace in this world of pain
I look all around and what do I see
But the devil surrounding and hindering me
He snorts and he glares to make me fear
He brings me more troubles than I can bear
And just when I feel he is making me doubt
I dry out to Jesus and He pulls me out
There’s nothing the devil can do to me
That Jesus won’t fix and give me peace
If I’ll just come to Him down on my knees
He’ll hear my prayers every time
That old enemy just keeps coming back
Hoping my faith is broken and lax
But I have a surprise waiting for him
Jesus has built up my strength within
He raises up His Holy Spirit
Then I feel a surge of powerful word
Get thee behind me you scrawny old beast
I live with Jesus and he has you beat
There’s nothing the devil can do to me
That Jesus won’t fix and give me peace
If I’ll just come to Him down on my knees
He’ll hear my prayers every time
If I was a king I would make a decree
That all of my kingdom would bow down to me
The all would be servants to meet all my needs
If I was a king on this earth
If I was a king I would have all the riches
The crops and the flocks and all of my wishes
I’d make sure that all would fulfill my petitions
If I were a king on this earth
If I was a king all power would be mine
All things would be subject to my chosen time
I would not allow anyone to decline
If I were the king on this earth
If I were a king I’d fulfill all my lusts
Nothing would be kept from me or my trust
All of my kingdom would mind me or bust
If I were a king on this earth
But Jesus came not as this type of king
Yet He was the highest King of all Kings
He came not demanding I do anything
Yet He was the King of heaven
Jesus was born as a babe in the hay
He walked on this earthy with meekness and grace
He gave up His life and took on my place
Yet he was the King of heaven
This great King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Only came to give His live on the cross
Not to rule and reign while here on this earth
But to give His life away
He was humble and meek, mild and kind
He showed love and compassion to all of mankind
What a lesson He showed us in so little time
A sacrifice of love
So let us not be a burden to others
Let us show grace and love to each other
It’s time to display His love to our brother
So we will join Him in heaven
We buy our gifts and presents
It seems more every year
And then in one quick day
They quickly disappear
Once opened some will vanish
Like candy for a child
Others will be cherished
And worn for quite a while
But nothing can compare
To the gifts that God does give
He will splurge on all of us
The things that help us live
Joy and peace and hope that lasts
Grace and mercy too
All of heaven opened
Blessings all for you
In response to the daily prompt

When look back on this year
And all God’s done for me
I just cannot get over
His generosity
First there was my cancer
Which was destined to go
I am in remission
I saw the end of chemo
In spring we got a puppy
It’s been years since we have one
The joy that he has brought us
Just cannot be outdone
He had me write a book
From notes made long ago
It started early in the year
It’s published now you know
My granddaughter was sinking
Under weight of troubled life
She came to live with us
And now is free from strife
To have a teenage girl
Again in this old house
Has brought a sense of peace
To me and my spouse
There are so many ways
That this year has been blessed
I pray that you have found
His mercy you possess
He died to take your sins
And free you from your pains
Will you please give Him praise
And make Him Lord again
I write what the Lord gives me
Each and every day
I often wonder if it reaches
Folks along the way
Because I have a responsibility
To share what God’s done for me
Hoping that each word will touch
Those who come by to read
So let your story be told
For the word of God plainly says
We overcome by the blood of the Lambhttps://onedailyprompt.wordpress.com/2018/12/29/your-daily-word-prompt-responsibility-December-29-2018/
And by our testimony of grace
In response to the daily prompt
Hallelujah to the one who died for me
Hallelujah to the one who set me free
He washed away my stains
Made me right with God again
Hallelujah to the one who died for me
His name is Jesus, Jesus
He’s the one that I adore
Jesus, Jesus
My Savior and my Lord
