Let’s Worship

I’ll clap my hands

I’ll lift my voice

I’ll shout His praise

And I’ll rejoice

The King of Kings

Salvation brings

Let’s worship Him today

He bore the price

For all my sin

So I would have

A way to win

His grace did reign

That fateful day

As on the cross

My debt He paid

He did not balk

He did not fail

He took the whip

He took the nails

He walked the road

He bore His cross

He gave His all

At such a cost

They buried  Him

In borrowed tomb

They sealed it tight

A darkened room

The stone rolled back

The soldiers slept

He rose again

His promise kept

And now He stands

By Father God

He prays for me

He watches out

His love for all

Reached out to me

Now heaven’s home

Eternally

I’ll clap my hands

I’ll lift my voice

I’ll shout His praise

And I’ll rejoice

The King of Kings

Salvation brings

Let’s worship Him today

Praise to Jesus

Praise on high

Lift your voice

Unto the sky

Shout His praise

Oh, shout and sing

Loud Hosannas

To the King

Beneath the Light

The stars shine so brightly at night

They really are quite a sight

I love when they twinkle

My heart feels a sprinkle

Of joy as I watch in delight

Yet as soon as the sun shows it’s face

The stars are all faded away

And though they’re still there

Way up in the air

They seem to be gone out of space

When Jesus came into my life

I faded beneath His pure light

Jesus shines through

In all that I do

I pray that His ligt outshines mine

When to Wake?

Today;s Daily Post challenge was One, Two, Three!  I decided to take the last three days and do a short limerick for each one.  I hope this satisfies the requirement

images

Two days ago sleep was real easy

I woke up to sun shining through

I couldn’t believe

That late I did sleep

I was happy I’d finally slept through

earl-morniing-dark

Yesterday I woke up real early

Couldn’t go back to sleep

So I got in my chair

At computer I stared

Until I was fast asleep

one-light

I woke up this morning in darkness

One light on in the house

So I went back to bed

And I laid down my head

Never even waking a mouse

It’s All About Your Heart

I watch the news each morning

And what do I often see

Our cullture seems to be amidst a change

So many feel their slighted

And the balance is not fair

They think the way their treated is quite strange

I have news for each of them

Who feel entitlement

To have their own way be the way of life

It wonlt make any difference

What laws are put in placed

Unless you work to make your heart just right

The only way to change a heart

Is to give yourself to God

Let Him repair that broken heart with love

Jesus died uopn that cross

To take your sin away

You will find His grace is quite enough

So stop the demonstrations

And the murders and the hate

Let’s bring out culture back to moral ground

The heart is all that needs to change

To make our country great again

Today’s the day to let His love abound

Chasing The Blues

Sometimes I just don’t feel like

Lifting up my voice in praise

My mood is down and dreary

And My hands don’t want to raise

There’s  no joy in my heart

My peace has been disturbed

I just want to jump back into bed

Where my moans will not be heard

But something deep within me

Starts to stir my spirit ‘round

And from somewhere in my being

A song begins to sound

It’s not a song of mourning

Or of grief or deep despair

But it’s a song of praise

That struggles to find air

Hallelujah, He is Lord

He rules the heaven and earth

Hallelujah, He is Lord

I’ll praise His matchless worth

I’ll sing a song of worship

As I lift my voice to Him

Hallelujah, He is Lord

To Him my praise I bring

Now I feel much better

My mood has turned around

I feel the peace of God

Praise fills my heart with sound

It’s the sound of heaven’s angels

As they praise the Lord with me

I’m no longer down and dreary

My spirit’s been set free

The lesson here today

Is that moods can be erased

Just open up and praise Him

And your blues will leave when chased

Your heart is ready always

To lift His holy name

So, prepare yourself for worship

Let’s lift up Jesus Name!

Hallelujah, He is Lord

He rules the heaven and earth

Hallelujah, He is Lord

I’ll praise His matchless worth

I’ll sing a song of worship

As I lift my voice to Him

Hallelujah, He is Lord

To Him my praise I bring

What? I Have Cancer?

March was a tough month for me

I was told I had cancer, you see

Now my vigor is gone

And I still have long

To rid  myself of this disease

But nothing will change my mind

I will still praise the Lord all the time

He has been good to me

As He gives me mercy

And I know that I’ll end up just fine

Maybe you have some disease

You’ve been praying down on your knees

He hears your cry

And he wil supply

As you praise Him, He will bring peace

In response to the daily prompt Vigor

Grace is Enough

Though my body is worn and feeble

And I have trouble walking at all

I know that you hear all my prayers

And your grace is enough

Though my spirit is troubled with worry

And I can’t seem to muster much faith

I know that you walk beside me

And your grace is enough

When all else fails

Your grace comes through

It reaches me

In all I do

There’s nothing else

That I can plead

Because your grace

Is all I need

Though my world has been turned upside down

And I can’t seem to find solid ground

I know that you still love me

And your grace is enough

Though my enemy keeps getting closer

And I feel surrounded and lost

I know that you’ve won the victory

And your grace is enough

I don’t need everything to be perfect

I don’t even need to know why

I just need to know you’re near

For your grace is enough

And no matter what comes I will praise you

I will worship your almighty name

Because you are seated in heaven

And your grace is enough

When all else fails

Your grace comes through

It reaches me

In all I do

There’s nothing else

That I can plead

Because your grace

Is all I need

Unthinkable Stink!

If you had a choice

To have one simple smell

That would be with you for all time

Would you choose something pungent

That makes you quite sick

Or a sweet smelling savor divine?

I’m here to tell you

You do have that choice

It must be made while you’re alive

Because hell is a place

Of unthinkable stink

While heaven has scents so sublime

To avoid the bad stink

And eternity’s flames

One choice is all you must make

Accept Jesus Christ

As Lord of your life

And you’ll pass through those heavenly gates

Ten Lepers

Ten lepers heard that Jesus Christ

Was coming soon their way

He was passing by their camp

It could be most any day

They knew that He had healed the sick

And made the lame to walk

He opened eyes and ears for some

And made the deaf to talk

So they thought perhaps if He would pray

Their leprosy would go

The called out to Him as He passed

And He turned around real slow

Walking over to them, Jesus smiled

And reached out with His hand

He prayed, and touched them one by one

And their sores dried up again

Jesus sent them to the priest

And he’d pronounce them clean

Their lives would be restored

They’d return to family

Rejoicing, they all went

Down the road to their new lives

But one of them turned back

And came to Jesus side

He told the Master thank you

Then Jesus smiled and said

My son, you are made whole

Your body is no longer dead

All your sores are vanished

Your skin again does shine

Now go your way rejoicing

But where are the other nine?

The former leper turned to Him

And said I do not know

He thanked Him one more time

And headed down the road

You see that simple thank you

Made quite a difference

Instead of only being cleansed

That leper was made whole

No more scars to show His plight

No more nasty skin

He had a new life now to live

Again He would begin

The lesson for us all in this

Is to always be aware

When Jesus comes and touches us

That Thank You should be said

Which Way?

When it comes to heaven or hell

It is not really easy to tell

Which ones will be going

Without really knowing

Who sits on the liminal wall

You see you can’t sit in between

And hope to make heaven your scene

If Jesus is Lord

Then Heaven is yours

So make sure from sin you are clean

His blood washes whiter than snow

If you ask Him in you will know

He wil set you free

From sin’s dread disease

And Heaven will be your new home
