The Way is Now Open

Man once lived in a garden

That was pure and full of life

They had their choice of fruit

And berries brought delight

But one tree was forbidden

The tree of knowledge called

Good and evil it would show them

But God said don;t eat at all

But man was way to curious

And he ate forbidden fruit

So God blocked the way to life

From the garden man did go

Generations later

Jesus came to die

He’s the only way

To eternal life

The tree of life is open

To all who call on Him

So open up your heart

And ask Him to come in.

The Road Less Traveled

I’m not one to take a big chance

Or go out on a limb

Or venture into unknown waters

I tend to take the road more traveled

One that I know

That i’m comfortable with

That I’ve traveled before

I was at home in my unbelief once

Easy life down an easy road

No responsibility

No worries

Then I learned that road went

Where I did not want to go

It was a road well traveled

Going the wrong way

I heard about another road

One that took daring to travel

It led the right way

And it was much less traveled

I decided to choose the less traveled road

I accepted Jesus Christ

As Lord and Savior

Now I am on the right road

Won’t you come along with me?

Greatest Value Ever!

I like to find bargains

In the grocery store

It’s a challenge to find he best deal

And when I choose one

That seems like the best

I feel good that the bargain is real

Now groceries are one thing

We need them each day

To strengthen our bodies and minds

And the value we get

From the food that we eat

Is essential to everyday life

But the best value ever

Was the price that we pay

To have all our sins be wash away

Because it costs us nothing

The price has been paid

And I’m fee from my sin every day

Jesus gave His blood

There on the cross

And bore all my burden away

Now I can walk

In freedom and hope

Because Jesus blood made a way

Passing Grades

Every day we face them

Tests to help us grow

Hopefully were ready

With what we need to know

Because passing grades define you

In the eyes of this old world

Each test will bring us closer

In the end we reach our goal.

More important then the testing

Is the subject we have picked

There’s one topic that we must pass

If we want to fully live

Four questions, answered right

Will a passing grade be given

Four questions that will change you

And ready you for heaven

Is Jesus Christ your Savior?

Have you asked Him to forgive?

Have you turned away from your sin?

Are you living to please him?

If you answered yes to all

Your salvation is assured

then you get the passing grade

And eternity in heaven

Will be your resting place

A Brand New Me

The Pharisees knew the law

And they all looked good

Dressed in holy garb

Prayer fully they stood

But Jesus looked inside of them

Beneath the pure facade

And saw the tomb that was inside

And told them it must fade

I was once a Pharisee

Everyone thought I had it good

But inside my mind and heart

I was full of bad, not good

But Jesus loved me so much

He came and rescued me

Cleaned me up and set me straight

Now I am a brand new me!

Are You Finished?

sowing-gospel-seeds

Are you finished telling me that you don’t want to hear

About the love of Jesus, the friend I love so dear?

How He died to take your place so that you won;t have to fear

Where you will up up for eternity?

Well, I’m sorry, but I really have to ignore your request

Because i am unfinished in showing how your blessed

So I will keep on planting seeds whenever I assess

That you need Jesus just as much as me

He died for you, and took your sin

He provided peace and joy within

And one day you can enter in

To heaven’s wondrous doors

So won’t you come to him today

And He will wipe your sin away

He’ll brighten up your darkest day

With His wondrous love

More Than Enough

This one thing I know

Is that God always bestows

His gifts to all of those

Who love His son

The list s oh so long

Of gifts that now belong

To those who now belong

To Jesus Christ, God’s son

His love and His forgiveness

His joy and His sweet peace

His mercy and His grace

His hope and healing too

His deliverance and love

His Spirit and Eternal Life

The list goes on and on

Because He’s generous to us

He gives more than enough

To show us His strong love

He’ll always be right there

To hear my every prayer

Crossing Over

I was drowning

A mountain of sin  encompassed me

And I had no way out

Then I heard about Jesus

And His love for me

And His sacrifice to take away

my sin

And I took the jump

From sinner to saint

From sorrow to joy

From turmoil to peace

From doubt to faith

From worry to hope

From guilty to forgiven

From Hell to Heaven

Crossing over was easy

Won’t you take the jump?

What is Your Passion

Our world has turned love

Into lust

And it is called passion

But passion is so much more

More than lust

More than emotion

More than a desire or need

Passion is what you pour your heart into

Your life into

Your soul  into

Your mind into

Your strength into

The Word says

Love the Lord your God

with all your heart

And all your mind

And all your soul

And all your strength

In other words

Be passionate about Jesus

In One Piece

My life was out of control

Sin abounded

Trouble lurked on every side

Emotions were fragile

Mind wandered endlessly

I felt as if I was falling apart

Piece by piece

But then

A friend

Introduced me to

His friend

Whose name us Jesus

He rook all my broken pieces

Put them together in His love

And now I feel whole again

One piece

I have peace

In Jesus
