I Fixed My Thinking!

I thought once about all of my sin

And the life I was living so fast

That first time I chose not to change

Anything that I’d done in the past

But upon second thought, I decided

That hell ws not taking my life

So I fell on my knees before Jesus

And I asked His forgiveness that night

He washed my sins whiter than snow

And now Heaven’s my home for all time

There’s no second thoughts in me now

I’m blessed in my Savior divine

Glad Your Still Reading

To some it may be irksome

That to the daily prompt

I post about my Savior Jesus Christ

If I was still without Him

And I would read the lines

I think I’d start to skip these posts of mine

But I cannot obstain

From  proclaiming His dear name

At every chance I’m given in this life

So  though it may irk some

If I can reach just one

I’ll mention His salvation every time

Not like a Hot Dog

I am a lover of hot dogs

Mustard and relish on top

They taste oh so good

A wonderful food

Three with the buns is enough

But when it comes to my soul

Only Jesus can satisfy

Nothing to garnish

Like mustard or relish

Just His precious grace gives me life

In response to he daily prompt Relish

Beyond Belief

I must say it is not true

That you can save yourself

If Jesus isn’t Lord

Then you’ll wind up in hell

But it’s also no hyperbole

It’s a fact that brings relief

That life in Jesus Christ

Is blessed beyond belief

In response to the daily prompt Hyperbole

He Endured For Me

It was not a pretty sight

In Jerusalem  that day

As they bludgeoned my Jesus

With cat-o-nine tails

Blood all around

Crown of thorrns on  His  head

Then up to Golgotha

Nails in His feet and hands

He endured it all

To wash away my sin

From the cross He cried out

Father forgive them

And the Father looked down

And saw His one Son

Ands forgave every sin

For all who choose Him

I can’t imagine what it took

For God to give His Son

No other god would even think

Of what our God has done

He didn’t copycat His plan

To set the captive free

He planned it from the very start

To save a wretch like me.

Down with the Giant

David was a teenager

When he faced the giant

Goliath had a victors laugh

But David brought him down

The giant in our lives is sin

We’ve no way to defeat it

But Jesus paid the price for us

The giant’s been defeated

Today take Jesus as your Lord

And He will be your Savior

The giants in your life will fall

Before His mighty name

Crossing the Great Divide

There’s a great divide between God and man

The gulf is large and deep

It’s been in place since Adam ‘s day

It’s way the angels keep

When Jesus died upon that cross

He paid the price for sin

And He became the crossing bridge

For all of us to win

The only way to God you see

Is Jesus Christ today

So come and take Him as your Lord

And He’ll show you the way

End the Chaos

When life gets chaotic

And you can’t find your way

I have a solution

To rearrange your day

Just start out with Jesus

Give His word some time

Sing praise to His name

It will trasnform your life

Because time spent with  Jesus

To start out the day

Will stiffle the chaos

Amd bring peace always.
