House of Worship

The house of worship

Is a place

That I hold very dear

The time I spend

Inside those walls

Bring me to God so near

The music starts

To play the tunes

Of His amazing grace

And soon our praise

Is lifted high

Filling up the place

Let’s go to the house of worship

Let’s sing with hands up raised

Let’s sing our Hallelujahs

Let’s give Jesus our praise

Our praises ring out

Higher still

I feel the Spirit come

He floods on in

To touch the saints

Who sing the worship songs

His presence there

Is oh so sweet

He reaches deep within

To comfort all

Brings healing too

And eases suffering

Let’s go to the house of worship

Let’s sing with hands up raised

Let’s sing our Hallelujahs

Let’s give Jesus our praise

What a mighty God we serve

He comes into our midst

He so desires our highest praise

I’ll always do my best

To worship Him with all my heart

My mind my soul my strength

I’ll raise my voice to heaven

To honor His great name

Let’s go to the house of worship

Let’s sing with hands up raised

Let’s sing our Hallelujahs

Let’s give Jesus our praise

One Good Choice

Many will say their life is just fine
And I think that’s terrific
But when they talk about what comes next
They don’t get too specific

Some say maybe heaven’s for me
Others think a party in hell
Some say they will just rot in the ground
And some just cannot tell

I’d like to get real specific today
There is only one good choice to make
Accept Jesus Christ and heaven’s your home
If not, then in hell you will bake

Bless His Name

I will sing of the wonderful love of Jesus
How he came to earth that day
He gave up His throne in the heavens
To be born in a stable of hay

I will sing of His wonderful mercy
And His amazing grace
I will sing my Hallelujah’s
And give Him all my praise

Bless His name
His lovely name
There’s no sweeter name than Jesus
Bless His name
So sweet the sound
Jesus, Jesus

I will sing of the teaching He brought us
How He showed the Fathers love
He healed the sick and the blind man
And delivered those who were bound

I will sing of the way He provided
For the crowds that gathered round
I will sing of His glorious presence
And make a joyful sound

Bless His name
His lovely name
There’s no sweeter name then Jesus
Bless His name
So sweet the sound
Jesus, Jesus

Then He gave His life
On a cross of shame
Crucified for me
Bless His Holy name
He died to set me free
And give me life eternally

Bless His name
His lovely name
There’s no sweeter name than Jesus
Bless His name
So sweet the sound
Jesus, Jesus

The Eye of the Sky

It dawns on creation

I watch
As wispy clouds
Dust the pre-dawn sky
With grey

Suddenly
A splash of pink
Announces an expected event

The pink turns
Into soft yellow
And gold begins to gild
The clouds

Brilliant gold
Encasing several yellow shapes
While bright red
And orange
Spread to clouds
Seemingly a distant
Ways off

Now the gilding subsides
Light starts to illuminate
The sky
And the eye
Of the sky
Starts creeping high

Brighter
And brighter
Welcoming
The new day

Turn to Jesus

Quick note:  I have started a new Bible Study on Ephesians in my Travelling with Paul blog.  Lease check it out if you have a few minutes.  CLICK HERE

When you’re looking for a friend
To help you to the end
Turn to Jesus
When you’re looking for a healing
Because you’ve been ill feeling
Turn to Jesus

When you’re looking for some joy
‘Cause you feel your life’s destroyed
Or you need a little peace
To set your mind at ease
When you need a bunch of love
‘Cause this world can’t give enough
Turn to Jesus Christ

He promised He will be right there
To meet all your needs
He will show you that He cares
When prayer is received
Please just turn to Him today
And look on His face
He will help you find your way

By amazing grace

Avoid the Wreck

When you get to a railroad crossing
You see signs everywhere
And often there’s a bar to keep you back
I figure you all see these signs
And take them serious
‘Cause if you don’t, you’ll wind up in a wreck

We see strange things a-brewin’
All around us anymore
The signs of the times are really clear
Jesus said He’s coming back
When these signs appear
Have you made Him your Savior and Lord

For when He returns in the clouds
A crossing will take place
For all  of those who’ve given Him their lives
Those who are left behind
The worst of times they’ll face
Will you avoid that wreck and and save your life

He Hears Your Prayer

God sees your aching heart
And the hurt your going through
And He becomes your peace
He comes and comforts you

God sees your aches and pains
And the suffering you are in
And He becomes your healer
He builds your strength within

He hears your prayer
Even though you may not see
He hears your prayer
And He’ll meet your every need
Just have faith in His great mercy
And the answers sure to come
He hears your prayer
With His great love

God sees your doubts and fears
And the way you go through life
And He gives you His assurance
That things will turn out all right

God sees your faults and failures
And the times you all away
And He sends His grace and mercy
You can start a brand new day

He never gives up on you
Never turns away from you
Never shuts His heart to you
He always says He loves you
Always says He’ll hold you
Always says He’ll comfort you
His eyes are always on you

He hears your prayer
Even though you may not see
He hears your prayer
And He’ll meet your every need
Just have faith in His great mercy
And the answers sure to come
He hears your prayer
With His great love

Look What I Found

i used I wonder why life would bring a frown
I never could get myself quite turned around
The drinking and drugs had certainly brought me down
My mind was slipping away
I sank further every day
I worried I’d just fade away
Then I found Jesus

Now all my doubts and fears have faded away
Gone are the drink and drugs that had me in sway
I’m finding that life just keeps getting better each day
I have new peace of mind
And joy that is so fine
Hope fora  future divine
Since I found Jesus
