In Him

I find myself resting
With peace never ceasing
And joy never ending
In Him

I have hope fulfilling
My hearts overflowing
And love that is glowing
In Him

In Christ, I am blessed beyond measure
His grace is amazing to me
I’ll lift up His name
In glorious praise
For Jesus is all that I need

I am healed everyday
And delivered always
My needs are sustained
In Him

My faith is renewed
My mind is restored
I’m free evermore
In Him

There is no valley that I can’t go through
No mountain that’s too hard to climb
There is no battle His strength will not win
In Him, the victory’s mine

Pardon My Abuse

I walked the walk
And talked the talk
So many years ago
And people thought
That I had sought
The Lord in all I showed

But in actuality
I was not what I appeared
My interior was messy and confused
So I took time out to pray
And I got pride out of the way
And I asked the Lord to pardon my abuse

Now I quietly
Walk in humility
Knowing I can easily fall
I listen intent
I speak a lot less
And I silently wait for His call

Many Blessings

I think about the fact
That Jesus loves me so
And it seems my love for Him
Just grows and grows and grows

My heart will sing His praises
Every single day
As I count the many blessings
That He has sent my way

He died for me so long ago
To take away my sin
He walks with me from day to day
Gives me peace and joy within

His Holy Spirit comforts me
Whenever I am down
I know that I can trust in Him
To keep me safe and sound

I lift my praise to Jesus
For the blessings in my life
I will worship Him forever
I will lift His name on high

He brought me to my wife
A thousand miles away
He put a love within me
That still is strong today

Three children blessed our marriage
Five grandchildren too
They share their love for us
In everything they do

He’s blessed me with good work
And friends that bolster me
And helps me be a blessing
To others in their needs

I lift my praise to Jesus
For the blessings in my life
I will worship Him forever
I will lift His name on high

I have many Christian friends
Who will listen when I talk
And the pastors in my life
Have helped me in my walk

But more than anything
I’m blessed with His sweet grace
And His mercy overwhelms me
Oh, I long to see His face

I lift my praise to Jesus
For the blessings in my life
I will worship Him forever
I will lift His name on high

A Look Behind

I cannot let a day go by
Without praising His name
And every week I take some time
To  write of His domain
Not a single month goes by
That I have not seen change
Due to prayers lifted up
In Jesus name

Then when  the years is over
I take a look behind
And see all of the blessings
That I  can surely find
The Lord has been so good to mme
So loving and so kind
And all because I spent some time
With Him

If you need a blessing
From the Lord today
Just take the time to call on Him
Take some time to pray
And if you’ll do that every day
At end of year you’ll say
The Lord has been so
Good to me

This year I will praise Him
With all my heart and soul
I’ll lift my voice to heaven
To Jesus Christ our Lord

 This year I will love my neighbor
And those who are in need
I’ll ask the Lord for wisdom
And plant some gospel seeds
I am resolved to walk
Everyday as a light
My greatest desire is to see
Sinners saved from their plight
Lord help me be a witness
In everything I do
I am resolved to live
So that others will see you
This year I’m going to pray
With a fervent and faithful heart
Work down my list each day
Of those who have crossed my path
This year I will have mercy
On those who may do me wrong
I will extend your grace Lord
To all who may come along
When I see
Lives get changed
By your loving
Holy hand
I will lift up
My voice in thanks
And give you all the praise
I am resolved to walk
Everyday as a light

A New Year of Praise

As one year goes out
And another comes in
We wonder what now will unfold
There’s anticipation
Of what is to come
There are things that we still will hold

There is one thing I know
Will not change in  my life
No matter what a new year will bring
I will lift up my voice
And sing out the songs
Of praise to Jesus the King

Nothing will silence me
From my desire
To lift up His name every day
I will listen intently
To the words that He gives
And write out His poems of praise

Join me, my friends
Let us make a great noise
Of praise to Jesus our King
He is so worthy
Of all of our praise
Lets lift up our voices and sing

Share The Light

There’s a feeling in the air
That’s hard to explain
It always comes this time of year
I feel I should dare
To make a life change
And I’m hopeful the change will endure

Call it a hunch or dream
Or resolution
My mind is determined to try
‘Cause right now it seems
I shouldn’t be done
Growing in my spirit life

Starting right now I’ll try
To rid all distractions
And live more in tune with Christ
I Him I’ll abide
With daily devotions
And pray for the lost to gain life

But more than anything
I’ll be determined
To praise Him with all of my might
I’ll lift my voice and sing
From deep down within
I’ll worship Him and share His light.

Forever Grateful

I’m forever grateful for
What Jesus did that day
When He came to earth a babe
In a manger filled with hay
When He left His royal throne
He knew the price He’d pay
Yet He came and did it anyway

I’m forever grateful for
The mercy He shows me
I am such a sinner
Yet He died to set me free
And He rose up from the dead
So I will live eternally
I can’t believe He did it all for me

Oh, what a Savior
He is to me
My love grows deeper
Each time I see
His hand of mercy
Sweep over me
He is my Savior
My friend indeed

I’m forever grateful for
The joy He gives to me
It conquers every fear
And fills my heart with glee
He also gives me peace
That calms the storms in me
Fear and doubt just have to flee

I’m forever grateful for
His amazing grace
When I make all my mistakes
He won’t throw them in my face
He calmly reassures me
That beside Him is my place
And one say I’m going to see His face

Oh, what a Savior
He is to me
My love grows deeper
Each time I see
His hand of mercy
Sweep over me
He is my Savior
My friend indeed

It Doesn’t Matter

Will the new year bring a healing
To my feet and shoulder too
It doesn’t matter, Lord
Because I will still praise you

Will the new year bring a blessing
To these finances of ours
It doesn’t matter, Lord
I’ll still praise you every hour

Will I start to work again
And have good response from all
It doesn’t matter, Lord
I will answer when you call

My heart is set to worship you
And lift your holy name
No matter what I may go through
I’ll always lift your praise
And when the storm clouds gather
And my life is rearranged
I’ll lift my voice to heaven
And magnify your name

Will all my strength come back to me
So I can golf again
It’s doesn’t matter, Lord
I’ll praise your mighty name

Should this cancer not quite go away
And further treatment come
It doesn’t matter, Lord
I’ll still proclaim your love

Now, folks, don’t get me wrong
I’m believing God for all
For healing and deliverance
For financial windfall
For cancer to be gone
And me back to standing tall
There’s no doubt in my mind
That He will do it all

But my praise is not based
On what He does for me
My praise goes to Jesus
He is all I need
He is the King of Kings
And I can plainly see
That He deserves my praise
No matter what might be

I will worship Jesus
Until my dying breath
He’s my Lord forever
My songs will never end
His name is just so powerful
His mercy is so great
I’ll lift my hands and praise Him
For His amazing Grace

More Time

This year has past
A new is upon us
What will it bring
Good things, I trust

More time with God
Giving Him praises
Lifting my heart
Accepting His graces

More time in prayer
Lifting my neighbors
Hoping to see
Them come the Father

More time to love
Those who are hurting
Giving them hope
That their hurt is fleeing

More time to seek
His wisdom and passion
That I might proclaim
His words to the nation

More time to praise
My wonderful Savior
Lifting my voice
To worship my Lord

Yes, this year will bring
A new fire within me
To honor the name
Of Jesus my Lord
